Good choice of drinks and beers! Great to grab drinks after food or even have a meal.

It is ok, local chain, average food, decent local beers on tap. The Brussel sprouts were amazing and the service was above average. Great place to grab a bite of food, would not travel out of my way to eat there.

Unbelievably unprofessional and poorly managed. Was not able to effectively serve a large table of 28 people with an advanced reservation. Only one waitress who is untrained. Dinner took 3.5 hours for drinks, pretzels, appetizers and a main. Our guests walked out after waiting over an hour for true entrée. Food was cold. Calamari inedible. Main dishes came out to various seats a few at a time over 80 minutes. Drink reorders was difficult. After a proper compliant the manager only discounted the bill by 10% or $ 130. That’s about $ 4pp based on the gross bill. I highly suggest not brining clients or important guests there. I eat out regularly for business and this is among the top 5 worst meals ever. Many other choices in the area.

Service was mediocre at best. Many empty tables, yet server would disappear for long periods of time. For an entrée that included 2 Ahi Tuna Tacos at $ 14, I expected more than a single bite of Ahi on either taco. Honestly, there are too many places downtown for me to want to go back.

We had not eaten here in forever and all I remembered was an amazing Bloody Mary. I honestly felt like I was just bothering my server w every question I had. So my Bloody Mary came w just salt on the rim not even celery which is just disappointing. When I tried to ask questions about the menu and toppings on the burger and he just blew me off. My husband ordered the kale salad but they were out of kale. Our food came and of course it was fine but the toppings were not like u was asking. Actually the guy that brought the food was better than our server. The food we received was good and got. No complaints there. When we are paying $ 70 for a meal for us and our kids I just wish a little more care would be taken. Not sure we will be coming back here.

Walked up people enjoying a cigarette and a drink on the patio. We ask to sit outside and my 74 yr old father orders fries. They bring him no napkins no silverware so I complain. Within minutes a manager by the name of Richard comes out and is indignant about me smoking a cigar. I would expect more from an establishment such as this! Avoid this place !!!

What a weird experience. I would not recommend you come here to eat. We only come here once a year because we come in town for this convention but we usually eat here all three days. This is our first time during this convention and our last. The service is absolutely positively horrible. The server took our appetizer order, our appetizer was delivered and eaten and he never came back. I flagged down another server and asked her to be our server for the night and spoke to the manager. Things really didn’t get any better. I ordered soup for my dinner and my husband ordered a burger. My soup came within two minutes and my husband’s burger never really showed. Well that’s a lie, it did come about 25 minutes later but it didn’t come with the chips that he ordered. Those came another 15 minutes later at the very end of his burger. I flagged down the manager again and he said that I already let him know and that he was setting up a banquet and he had no idea this was going on out here. He said the hostesses were seating the place too fast and that was the problem. The times we’ve been here before there’s been a 40 minute wait and every table has been full and the service was still great! We never got beverage refills until the new server saw the manager over at our table again and then another soda showed up, no thank you. Too late. We didn’t get a check. I wanted to leave so many times but my husband wouldn’t let me. The manager told us when we come back to ask for him. I told him we will not be coming back ever and that I was ripping them on Unilocal,so here it is. He said our new server was their best server and that she was new to them. If the best server in the house is their newest server, that means bad news to me. there are just too many choices in downtown Indy to put up with this crap. Food, I give a 4. Service, 0. Stress? I’ll give them a 5 for stress. They did a great job of spoiling our first night’s dinner in Indy.

I spent most of my time at Ram in the patio area outside, so I can only speak on my interaction with the bartender. They were able to make me a drink quickly. I had asked what would be something sweet and not taste like medicine, and they were able to whip something up that was delicious! Probably one of the best drinks I’ve had so far. I’ve searched the online menu, but I am not able to find the name of it or its contents. I just remember it tasted sweet and citrus-y! I do wish there were more lights outside in the patio area. There weren’t any servers that tended to us outside, but it seemed like our party was doing just fine.

Won’t disappoint a crowd of discerning restaurant consumers. Not bland, not disappointing; not boring, not exciting; not edgy, not breaking apparent rules. Simply middle of the road. So… an excellent choice for a large group. On your own, due diligence will steer you elsewhere. The staff are young and cute aesthetically, but not understanding the product. Flash, not substance, which will appeal to the masses.

Funny — I never plan on eating at the Ram; I just seem to end up eating here when I cant get into St Elmos. And I don’t know why I don’t plan on eating at the Ram because they seem to do a great job every time I visit. The brews are awesome… and I know its sacrilegious to say it, but their beers are better than most/all of the micrbreweries in Indy. Trust me on this — I’ve tried them all… many times. I mean many times. The menu is standard micro-pub fare: sandwiches, steaks, big-salads, fish-n-chips. There’s nothing especially creative on the menu but who cares? Its executed well enough. I will give a big shout out to their monster sized desserts which you would be insane to try and eat alone. One dessert is enough for 4 people. Seating is never a problem as the RAM is a huge place. I suspect they built it to cater to the Lucas Oil stadium and convention center center crowds. All in all, they do everything right at the RAM. I never leave«Wowed» but I do leave satisfied and I suspect that’s what they are going for. Mission accomplished.

We stopped in on a Saturday night for dinner, and even made a reservation. The server seemed like she was fairly new, but she was ambitious and helpful. Speed of delivery from her was prompt and polite. Me and my wife both ordered a sirloin steak, medium rare. They both came out over cooked — about medium to medium well. Barely pink. We sent it back, and a chef with glasses brought them back out, came to our table, and said«These are OUR medium rare steaks, so guess I’ll cook you some rare steaks.» The second ones were basically still mooing. Hard to believe there was no middle ground between the two. The incredibly rude chef and low quality of food is the reason for my rating. The server apologized profusely and gave us a discount, so she got a good tip from me. If you do end up here, you can’t go wrong with the pretzels, the beer cheese delicious.

Ram Restaurant and Brewery may be «just’ another chain restaurant & brewery, but a small group of 7 of us told our diets to scram(and our livers to prepare like a vet in Nam) for a wham-bam-thank-you-Ram burger jam & beer slam. After cramming two burgers and slamming beer after beer, just a single a word summed up our Ram good time: Damn. Peanut Butter Bacon Jalapeño Burger($ 12.95) I’m a sucker for any burger with Peanut Butter AND Bacon. I’m also a sucker for ANY spicy burger. Blending all three of my favorite flavors into a single burger? Even Kanye, would call this genius. I didn’t need a side of Waffle Fries, but«need» was never part of this equation was it? Santa Fe Rodeo Burger($ 11.75) Burger #2 wasn’t necessary. It was irresistible. With a whole Roasted Green Chile Pepper cap, this heat beast on a Pretzel Bun oozes melted Pepper Jack Cheese, Chipotle Mayo, and more Roasted Green Chiles. If there would of been a third burger, it would of been Ram’s Buttface Bacon Cheese Burger with Bacon, Onion Rings, and Buttface Amber Ale Cheese Sauce. In the end, two burgers enter. One belly leaves. So what if Ram is a chain? Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a Ram. Thanks to an endless supply of Beers and fantastic friendly service, I was happy … and full … after having a Ram good time.

While the ambience of the place is great and the waitstaff is friendly the speed at which our food arrived was atrocious. I was so disappointed with the how long it took get my food almost 90 minutes for a table of 5. While I didnt take my frustration out on the waitress there’s no way to not state the poor speed with which the food came.

In the heart of downtown Indy, this place was very busy and still had decent service and very good food. The prices are a bit high as expected, but worth it for the tasty food. Large selection of alcohol drinks. Worth a try if you haven’t eaten here you should try them.

Table of four… Felt more like table of 14. The wait for food took 55 minutes after we ordered. The appetizers even took a good 35 minutes to come out! The service was okay… server wasn’t very attentive but got the job done. My friend’s chicken sandwich was NOT cooked all the way… she had to eat around the pink since we were running late to our event due to the extremely slow kitchen. The meals were mediocre. The only good thing about our visit was the one beer that we had as good. Do NOT go here. There are plenty of much better restaurants around.

Had a 50th Birthday party here on Sunday Nov 22nd in one of their banquets rooms. The cost of the room was very reasonable as well as the party trays we ordered for the party. They gave us two servers Sara and Ashley who were so nice and right on top of getting drinks for the people attending the party. The only thing I wish that could have been changed is that we ordered party trays/appetizers for the party and they put out large dinner size plates. So unfortunately of course we had quite a few people who made a «meal» of their appetizers and we ran out before everyone could arrive. I had asked for smaller bread/dessert size plates but was told they did not have enough for the party and the restaurant. Which I found strange in a facility for banquets. Wish I would have known ahead of time I would have brought small paper plates. Other than that… it was a perfect place for a party.

After a day of festivals, we stopped for a bite at dinner. I ordered off the GF menu and my better-half ordered the fish-n-chips. My meal won hands down, even though the vegetables were overlooked. I had the GF sauce on the side. His meal made him feel queasy the rest of the night. He said the batter was way too thick and was super greasy. Plus, had very little fish and taste to it. The server was nice and helpful. That helps!

Got the Notorious PIG burger. Loved the soft pulled pork, barbecue sauce, and level of spiciness. Bottom bun of the burger was soggy from sauce and whatever else was there, though. Great combination overall, and I got the coleslaw on the side just to stay healthy-ish. Different style of coleslaw – a bit bitter due to the purple veggies but it’s ok. $ 3 tall beers on Monday too. Definitely filling.

So I was rather looking forward to visiting here as I had heard good things, and perhaps I would have had a better experience had I not been there with a large group in the Party Room, but I was exceedingly disappointed. Not only was my food dry(the veggies were good but the chicken was dry and less flavorful than it needs to be) but the wait staff were very slow if not rude to me and others in my group(they did seem rather stressed). They weren’t terribly helpful when the table configurations(the tables are not all at the same height but you can’t tell this because of the table cloth in this room) made folks spill their drinks. While they did bring napkins it didn’t result in a pleasant eating experience and everything was still damp and unpleasant. If the servers were more enthusiastic, didn’t seem to be fighting with each other, and provided better service I would be much more likely to come here again. As it is this was a big disappointment.

The beer is good, but the beer-battered fish is lame. I am not a super-size it type of guy, but with the two little pieces, it is quite puny. Not to mention, it was soggy and barely warm. It is also one of the«signature» items. Seriously? Since I placed my order 20 minutes before the kitchen closed, I may give them one more chance. However, it is still not an excuse.

Decided to give Ram a second try at 6:00pm on a Thursday night. The service was better this time. Our waitress was friendly and much more attentive. The drinks were better this time. The dragon mojito was good and I tried their Barefoot ale. It was good this time. We tried the fried green bean appetizer which was delicious with the three dipping sauces. Our entrees were decent, but nothing amazing. I tried their signature Mac n cheese, which was bland except for the chicken and bacon I paid extra to add in. If I wouldn’t have added that I would have hated this dish. It was just okay in my opinion. Noting special. My wife tried the ship wrap which is served cold. The dressing was a bit tangy, she thought it wasn’t too bad. She ate half of it, but wished it would have been served warm. Our son ordered a bacon chedder BBQ burger. He liked it and ate it all. Overall this place is average, depending on your taste and the time of the day you visit. There are a lot of better choices in town and there are some worse. This place is middle of the road. I was hoping for much better for downtown. They advertise free wifi. However, it’s super slow and pretty much non-usable.

This place is nothing super special but they do have good food and a pretty decent beer selection. I come here time to time when I know it will be busy at basically all other restaurants downtown(Friday/Saturday nights) and you usually always get sat down and get pretty quick service. I had the Southwestern Zesty Salad last time and I was pleasantly surprised. Make sure you get the buffalo chicken on it!

Had dinner here on 4⁄17. So…I can’t mince words here… the downtown Ram is filthy and outdated. Seriously — the carpet is worn and dirty and the décor is circa 1996. I have uploaded pics of their disgusting restroom if you’re brave enough to to take a peek. The Ram in Fishers is very nice — why won’t they close this one for a week during winter to clean and update it? It’s just gross. Food was actually pretty good — mahi mahi tacos and chicken nachos. The prices weren’t bad. The service was slow at first but great otherwise. We will not be going back any time soon… I hope management realizes the serious cleanliness problems here and resolves them soon.

The Restaurant/Microbrewery market has a lot of heavy hitters and it takes a lot to elevate a place above the competition. I am confident to say that the Ram is in the top 3 of chain Restaurant/Microbreweries that I have tried. THEFOOD: Lots of good food. The burgers are about as good as they come from a place like this. They are flavorful and very creative. Over the many times that I have gone to the Ram for lunch, I have never repeated a burger once and I have enjoyed all of them. Everything from the burger with garlic aioli and pork butt, to the southwestern burger. The burgers aren’t better than somewhere that specializes in top notch burgers, but lets move on to something that burger places don’t have… THEBEER: It’s good. The«Disorder Porter» is probably one of my favorite porters and I’ll go just to fill my growler. Needless to say, it elevates the Ram on its own. THELOCATION: OK, it’s right downtown. You really can’t get any more convenient than that. You definitely get your moneys worth at the Ram.

I went here during my trip to the Final Four. The place was packed. Standard microbrewery with cold beer and fried food. I had the pretzel app, a beer flight and the pork tenderloin sandwich. Despite being jammed with drunken basketball fans, the food came out relatively quickly. The pretzels were not the best, as they were cold and the sauce had stood so long it had formed that cheese skin. The beer flight was a bargain at $ 6. I felt the amber was the standout, but all were reasonably drinkable. The sandwich was as one would expect of a fried meat sandwich; good and satisfying. Overall, I was happy with my experience and would go again, if one of my teams had to play a game there.

This place is ridiculous — in the worst of ways. I’d already been dreading my impending lunch here based on the deplorable Unilocal reviews I’d read to date. But thankfully my worry was in vain(sort of), for no more than 5 minutes after I was seated with my group for lunch, we were informed we couldn’t be served as there had been a fire in the kitchen, necessitating a visit from the health department before they could reopen it. Imagine that. I took this as a blessing in disguise as we walked down the street to Rock Bottom for a fantastic lunch with great service. To any of you considering this place, just do yourself a favor and don’t. There are SO many better places downtown. Just Unilocal them.

I really like the beer and food at Ram brewery but every time I go into this downtown Indy location I feel like half the staff is in the back taking a break. When visiting for a beer and possibly some food before a Colts home game we waited at the bar for 20 minutes while watching the 1 — O.N.E — bartender struggle to stay above water in the busy bar setting. It’s a Colts Home game. Why weren’t there 10 bartenders on staff that afternoon? It just doesn’t make any sense to me. Not only did we only get served 1 beer when we planned to have multiple(more $$$ for the bar) but there was no way we could have ordered even quick bar food. Great food and beer if you have time to kill. But not if you’re on a schedule.

Stopped by here on a recent business trip to Indianapolis. Greeted by friendly servers who got us seated quickly. Casual relaxed atmosphere centrally located in Downtown. Food was average however food presentation was below average — read on you’ll see why. Started off with the Buttface beer cheese dip with chips and pretzels, slightly rich and pure savory. Their burgers were above average and filling, tried the Vampire Fries(garlic fries) which were VERY strong on the garlic(perfect, i liked that!), 71 Pale Ale Pork Tenderloin sandwich was average but dry. The fish and chips was unappealing and overly battered. The presentation was rather unappealing. The fish and chips came out in the shape of an enormous phallus. Even smelled like fish: S … Needless to say the tarter sauce was not consumed. The greezy waiter even had a smirk when we were served.
