Baby Appleseed

I purchased the davenport set of crib, dresser and armoire which isn’t cheap to say the least. The reason I decided to go with this investment though was because this crib turns into a full bed and I figured my son can use it as he gets older. the wood is a very good quality, but the paint not so much. its chipped all over. The worst part is that I went to the store to buy the bed rails to turn this bed into a full and the company changed the colors. The espresso they make isn’t the espresso I bought 6 years ago. I called the company and all the rep kept telling was «yes, we don’t make this color anymore» even when I asked her for advise, as to what to do she just kept repeating it over and over. Very disappointed. I do believe in buying quality furniture that can last awhile, but who thought of that scenario… not me :(

I bought a davenport crib and dresser private party but it was missing the sliders for the drawer under the crib. This crib was made in 2007 and was still in excellent shape. I think that alone says something great about the product. It feels strong and sturdy compared to the week looking cribs at babies r us. It is made out of solid wood. I filled out a form on their website asking them if I could order the sliders figuring I could pick them up as they are local. I got a response the next day from Ruby asking me to verify which parts i needed. I sent her an email expecting to get a price on the parts I needed. The next day she sent me an email stating «please provide me with your mailing address, we’ll gladly send you these parts at no cost.» Outstanding I thought. True to her word I had a couple sliders the next day. I installed them and they fit perfectly. I feel their customer service is excellent and the fact that they have parts available for their cribs is fantastic. I would recommend them to my friends and family.

I purchased the Baby Appleseed Davenport Colonial White crib and dresser from Berstroms. The finish work on the crib and dresser are terrible. They did not sand the wood after cutting it and just painted over all of the rough edges. There are painted splinters sticking up all over the place. I contacted Baby Appleseed and got the form letter response that these items are hand made and it is expected for there to be variations in the wood. I responded that apparently they did not read my email or look at the pictures I sent and I received another email asking me to send them more information on these items. I sent them the requested information and have received no response.
