To understand Buy Happy®, you must understand the man behind it, Morrie Wagener, founder, namesake and all around lovable leader of Morrie’s Automotive Group. A 1957 graduate of Dunwoody Institute, Morrie started his automotive career as a mechanic working on imports. He acquired his first dealership from his boss in 1960. His future, you could say, was paved. From the very beginning, Morrie understood the simple truth about selling cars. Customer’s can get a vehicle anywhere. Especially now that there are multiple dealerships for every brand in the Twin Cities. Really, it’s the car buying or servicing experience that makes the difference. I just wrote my first Unilocal review a few minutes ago because of how dissatisfied I was with service at a different dealership in the metro. That experience reminded me that not all dealerships are crap. We leased a car from here 6 months ago and had nothing but a positive experience. On top of that, free oil changes for most of the lease and free car washes too. This is not normal for a dealership… I just paid 40 bucks for an oil change on a leased car at a different dealership (Walser.) On top of all of this, Mazdas are damn nice vehicles and they also gave me the best price on a trade in by a wide margin. Kudos to whoever runs this joint. Please don’t follow other dealerships in the areas example and screw their customers to save a buck and my next vehicle will be from you as well.

We bought a used 2003 Nissan Altima from them in August as a second car for my household for my son to drive, and it has been nothing but problems. There has been a massive amount of problems, where I have had to pay out $ 1,600 in repairs on a car I paid $ 5,000 for under the Public Before Wholesale program. Repairs were done by a reputable repair shop, and am still dealing with the problems. So far the PCV Hose has been replaced, the power steering pump has been replaced, gasket replaced, and other various repairs.
This car was supposedly inspected for any issues when it came to them, and they obviously either didn’t inspect it at all, or not in any through manner. We were told that it was well inspected, and by the problems we are dealing with now, that is clearly a lie. I will never buy from them again, and I will insure that everyone I know is aware of their business practices so that they are not subject to this kind of experience.

Had a great experience purchasing my new CX-​5 from Ryan at Morrie’s. He was very knowledgeable and accommodating on my test drives, and very patient as I worked through my decision making. He got me a great deal on my trade, actually better than I ever expected (and probably better than I could have done selling it myself, with a whole lot less work). I look forward to a long, happy relationship with Morrie’s.

Spent one Saturday looking for an AWD SUV. We were in fact finding mode that day and went to a total of 6 dealerships. Had a good experience at Morrie’s in Inver Grove Heights, MN. We were approached immediately as we entered the dealership. The employees were pleasant and professional. Spent most of our time with Jody Blaine but also worked with Brian (trade in) as well as Isaac on the final purchase paperwork.
Jody Blaine stepped up to help us. He’s super knowledgeable on auto’s, did a great job summarizing the high points on the vehical without going into complex explanations that make your eyes glaze over from tedium. Jody pointed us to the correct vehical, the CX 5.
The following Saturday we returned to see if we could put together a deal to purchase the CX 5. The purchase experience went about as smoothly as it can go. Everything was very straight forward, not much room for negotiation. After deciding on the trim and package options, we changed our mind. Jody was completely understanding and did not appear at all inconvenienced by the change.
Based on our experience, we are hopeful that the Morrie’s «Be Happy» policy is the real deal.

We recently purchased a Jeep Patriot through Steven O’Connell at Morries and it was a fantastic experience. Steve was super to deal with, no games, just lots of good information about the vehicle, the dealership and we received what I considered to be a VERY fair deal on the purchase and our trade-​in. Thanks to all at Morries and ask for Steve when you walk in the door. BTW, the vehicle had a slow leak in one of the tires which we discovered over the first four weeks we’ve owned it. Our daughter brought the vehicle in yesterday to have the plates put on and not only did they plug the leak for free, they topped off the fluids, checked the entire vehicle and washed the car for my daughter. SPECTACULAR! This is what customer service used to be and thankfully IS EVERY DAY at Morries apparently!

Recently leased a new 2015 Mazda 3 Hatchback from Morrie’s Inver Grove Mazda. It was a great experience. Steven took great care showing my wife and I the great selection of cars. The staff was knowledgeable about the different cars and promotions. They gave us a great deal on our trade-​ins and were easy to negotiate with. I will definitely be back for my free oil changes and car washes. I have a great feeling we’ll continue our business with Morrie’s. Great location and friendly staff. Don’t go anywhere else, if you’re looking for a Mazda.

Great process with our sales rep Gabe. Very happy with the new car (cx9). Gabe was very low key and a pleasure to work with. Less than we wanted for the trade in but decided to trade in anyway.
The car didn’t have its Navigation CD so the nab was inoperable. They are looking for a replacement and I’m assuming that they will cover the cost.

After five trips going to different dealerships I found Morrie’s Inver Grove Mazda to be the best experience! Walking inside I was greeted by Taylor Phillips who did an amazing job of helping me find the car that was right for me! She was exceptional at giving me the information and pricing that fit my budget and was VERY personable and friendly. She was not pushy and truly went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and got what I wanted. I almost felt as if she was a friend walking me through the exciting but at times stressful process. After it became officially my car, she took the time to answer any questions I had and set my phone Bluetooth up. Afterwards, we took a photo together which truly shows the fun and good experience I had with Taylor. I suggest anyone who is looking for a vehicle to go to Morrie’s Inver Grove Mazda and ask to work with Taylor Phillips!

First place I stopped to look at cars out of three dealerships and Eric and Morries had by the far the best customer service I could have asked for. So good, that I liked a car from a different dealership, I had Eric try and find me one through Morries just so I could work with him. This was our first interaction with a car dealership. Despite a few hiccups along the way the team at Morrie’s Inver Grove Mazda was great! They handled all of our questions and maintenance needs with grace and professionalism. Overall, they made sure we left happy and secure with the car we chose. Pete and Josh were two salesmen who went out of their way to help us get the car we needed. We were happy with the service department as well as the sales and administrative departments. I’ll start by saying I didn’t get my car here. But I wanted to.
I had the pleasure of working with Dominick, who is just great. Exactly the right level of salesguy — he was tremendous. He put up with me bringing the kids along on test drives, let us drive the cars were were looking at multiple times, and helped us take one for a sleep over. He was really awesome, I really wish I could have bought a car there, but in the end, I could not make the money work, and we ended up having to go with a car rather than the Mazda5 or CX5 and my spouse didn’t like the Mazda 3’s so we ended up elsewhere.
When it is time for us to buy the next car, I’ll look for Dominick. I hope he’s still there, and I hope he’ll forgive me.

I called one day before to speak with Dominick about trading in my Honda Civic for a new ride. When I arrived he picked the perfect one. Loved the preowned 2011 Mazda 3.
Brian, the used car manager, was also very easy to work with. Walked me through the trade in process.
Tiffany helped me with the paperwork and took the time to guide me through some of the options on the car that I should probably add as I intended to use the vehicle for work.
Great experience. I’ll come back again.
