I worked nearby for five years and relied on Cappucino for my quick and easy eats. On occasion, I came for breakfast, usually getting a breakfast burrito that is big enough for breakfast and lunch. For lunch, we usually ordered their sandwiches which are nothing special with pretty average deli meats but reliably big. My favorite is their house special tuna, which they make really tangy and vinegary and loaded with dill and scallions. I get their salads. They have three types of Asian chicken salad. One is the Asian, the other is the Chinese and the last is the oh-so amusing Oriental. I favor the one with no lettuce but instead lots of broccoli and cucumber even if the chicken is a little bit reminiscent of compressed meat. They also have a lasagna plate with a green salad that’s cafeteria-good. They don’t have a real kitchen so most of their offerings are soups, sandwiches, and a ton of individually wrapped snack foods and beverages.

We stopped her after going the Irvine Museum on a free Wednesday. Very convenient. Sandwiches are huge. They can be shared. I would spend the same amount at Subway and would not get the amount of meat we got on our Turkey and Chicken subs. Cookie was decent. Seating is outside, and at 12:30 on the free Wednesday, was empty. Staff was very nice and had the order done in half the time other sandwich shops would take. Probably because I didn’t have to make any decisions. Would go back if I am in the area.

took my parents to the irvine museum. we ate lunch here instead of getting in our car to drive around. they have great sandwiches here. you can get ½ sandwich and soup or salad for $ 6.50. the roast beef club was delicious! try it on a french roll. it comes with turkey, roast beef, bacon, onions, and tomatoes. the pickle on the side is crisp. ½ tuna sandwich was quite big. there were 4 soups for the day to choose from. we had the cream of potato. it was not creamy in terms of thickness but still fine. soup was on the watery side with some potatoes but not loaded with them. at least it wasn’t too salty as i detest overly salty soups. cookies were from isabella’s(redondo beach). we had the muffin, which were mini but thick cookies with white chocolate, blueberries, and milk chocolate. these were too sweet for my taste.

This is one my regular spots when I am driving around in the area for drop offs. The folks there are always friendly and the food is reasonably priced. If you go when they open its usually empty. I like their breakfast burritos because its filling and its only $ 3.75. Definitely worth a look if your at the Waterfield Tower.

Back when I lived in Irvine, my workplace was located right across the street from Cappuccino. My co-workers used to call it «The Spaceship» because that is exactly what the building looked like. Anyway, I used to work for a very selfish boss who would make me go out and buy him either breakfast or lunch almost everyday. With his money of course! But still, he never bothered to pay me for burning gas nor did he care about how inconvenient this was for me sometimes. So yeah, I used to come here quite a bit since the only other food places near our office(without having to drive somewhere) was Bistango and a Carl’s Jr. Cappuccino was always open pretty early, served breakfast, and offered healthier options for lunch, such as soups, salads, and sandwiches. Breakfast: I’m not really a breakfast person, but I do remember buying cheap bagels here every once in a while. Many of my co-workers liked their breakfast burritos. Soups: Not too bad. I only ordered these when I was not feeling well or when it was really cold in the office, but I remember the Chicken Tortilla Soup being pretty good. Salads: Big portion, but did not like it. Maybe I just happened to order a salad on a bad day, but the lettuce and other ingredients did not taste very fresh to me. Sandwiches: All the different ones I have tried were pretty good. I love how they were never stingy with the ingredients! They always give you a good portion of meats, several slices of cheese, a lot of avocado, and they even piled on the bacon! Can’t go wrong with a generous amount of bacon! Cindy and Oscar were the two who ran this place when I used to visit. I’m not sure if they still work here, but if they do, they are very nice people who provide good customer service!

This is a great place to grab a quick breakfast or lunch! They have all sorts of sandwiches, salads and a breakfast menu. You can even special or custom order things! The Veggie Bagel is to die for. Except I had a personal bad experience and found out I was allergic to cucumbers(they put a MASSIVE amount of cucumbers in it) and ended up breaking into a nasty rash at work. If you are okay with cucumbers, alfalfa sprouts, globs of cream cheese and tomatoes, then this is for you! It doesn’t sound appetizing but trust me, it’s really good. I usually special order a turkey panini with provolone and mayo and it is out of this world! The owners are super nice and friendly and there is a nice outdoor seating area to enjoy your lunch!
