Courtyard Irvine Spectrum

We were in OC for a show at the Irvine Improv and mother’s day festivities, and decided to stay here, due to the proximity to both. While we didn’t spend a lot of time in the hotel, the time we were there was great. The room was clean and comfortable. The window opened a smidge so that we were able to have some fresh air in our room. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. I wish we had been able to spend more time there to enjoy more of what the hotel has to offer. It’s walking distance to Irvine Spectrum which has shopping and many restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!

I loved this hotel. We stayed here on a Saturday night so we could go to the Improv and have a GNO. We got a suite with an adjoining room and it was perfect. Well appointed, clean and spacious. The front desk people were helpful and so was the shuttle driver to the Spectrum. After we got back from the comedy show we headed out to the fireplace/​putting green and had so much fun. There was a wedding going on but everyone was friendly and accommodating. I would stay at this hotel again — for sure. It also had a really nice gym and belly-​up bar for business travelers. Cheers to the Courtyard Irvine Spectrum!

A great place to stay. I chose this place, because it is new and has a great pool. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. A great pool, gym, room, bed, sofa, and staff. And it is 10 minute walk to Irvine Spectrum. So I swam and relaxed at the pool, then walked to Spectrum for a meal. I didn’t drive because I got drunk at the pool. I think room walls are pretty thick since I did not hear any noise from my neighbors. It is also family friendly. They have a miniature golf (a patch of grass with several holes) and a table tennis table.
It costs 9 dollars for parking, which sucks but it is similar to other hotels around its area.

Cleanliness: consistently superb. I stay in an Irvine-​area hotel every week, and this ranks among the best. Doesn’t hurt that the building is newly built (early 2010s?).
Service: front desk is always helpful and always fully staffed. Minimal wait times if any.
Location: can’t be beat for proximity to many transit corridors and convenient dining plus shopping at the Irvine Spectrum Center.
Amenities: best gym of the hotels in the area. No comparison. Large square footage allocation to the gym lets you spread out with the variety of free weights, steps, benches, DRXs,…and no skimping on cardio equipment either. This is my favorite aspect of the hotel.
TL;DR: If you like to workout on the road, this is the hotel for you.

The people here understand and live customer service. Since the Meadows is closing there isn’t a lot of call for me to return to Irvine but I find myself looking for reasons just so I can come back and stay here.

Very friendly and helpful staff! I was checked in by Francis and he was so helpful! However when I tried to get the shuttle from the Spectrum to the hotel, the lady that answered advised me that it would take a minute and that the shuttle would call me when they were on their way, I waited an hour never got a call so I walked to the hotel. Till this day, pending a phone call from the shuttle. It wasn’t a far walk and I had a great time, her service was horrible though.

A nice hotel, but they just stepped over the line. Let’s back up:
I stayed here over Christmas, and had a good experience overall. However, at the check-​in, they asked me for my phone number. I gave it and then stopped… I asked «Why do you need my number?» They said it will only be used to call me if they’re unable to reach my room, or something like that.
I said «Ya know what… na, I don’t want my cell phone on file, just in case it puts me on some telemarketing list, please erase that number I just gave you» The girl at the front gave me a bit of an eye roll, and I had a feeling she didn’t erase it.
Well guess what– I just got a telemarketing call from them. I never give out my cell phone number and there is no other way they could have gotten it. I have a landline for things like credit card use etc.
Way to be penny smart, and pound foolish Marriott. You’ve lost my future business by not adhering to my one wish– to not get bothered on my cell phone with robo sales calls.
*Update* Robo call again today 5÷19÷16. Looks like I can expect this forever.

Stayed here for the 2^nd time around for business. I had an early check in this time, 10 am to be exact. My keys was ready and room. Big pro for being a Marriott Loyal Member!
The business meeting was with Amber, the catering sales executive. Let me tell you, she’s is amazing! If you are thinking about having an event here, a wedding, a company event or a party for any occasion, look no further! This hotel is amazing!!! They have a whole team that will take care of you and make sure that your day turns out what you had expected and more! I am looking forward to photographing weddings and events here. I’m so excited!!!
The service that I received was great, my room was excellent and my bed was so comfortable! I really dig how they treat their customers and fellow vendors. I love their team work ethic and provide with excellent customer service. I’d highly recommend this hotel for business, leisure and/​or for events! I’m looking forward to my next stay!!! Cheers!

I must say the quality and service of this so-​called newer hotel in Irvine have gone downhill. As a Platinum member, I felt like they are all about money (i.e. rate is often one of the highest in the area nowadays), and less focused on service. I’ve stayed at this hotel many times.
When I arrived this time, I was put in a corner room on the 8^th floor that had water dripping noises from either the A/​C unit or bathroom. As a result, I didn’t sleep well the first night. So of course I go and complain, but the front girl didn’t seem to care too much, and said do you have your luggage packed, and that they will put me in a different room. When my wife went to get this new room, apparently she was only offered two room choices given capacity. This second room has super thin walls. I could hear people running upstairs and then there is an issue with the thermostat. I’m not sure that I will be able to sleep well tonight either.
If you charge a premium price for a 3-​star hotel, then you should at least offer better service. Having stayed at Marriott hotels for over 139 nights last year, I have to say I am very disappointed with the way this particular hotel has changed for the worse. Likely won’t stay here again.

Good service, comfortable beds. Close to everything in Irvine California. Very close to the train station. Everything you want out of a hotel.

My wedding was this past Saturday and Stephanie did an AWESOME job at getting everything together! She walked me through the entire process over the year that we worked together. It was a great experience even though there was some serious fumbling but only because Courtyard does NOT host weddings! It was a learning experience for them and I definitely benefited from it!
The day of, we experienced RECORD SETTING HEAT! The average temp on ¹⁰⁄₁₀ for the last 30 years is 70 degrees yet this year, it was expected to be 100 degrees! I panicked! But Stephanie managed to organize tall, clean, elegant black umbrellas for my guests! It was awesome!
She even handled my out of control uncle when a fight (verbal, not physical) got out of hand.
My day was amazing and the food was AWESOME! We had blue uplights around the room that I DEFINITELY recommend. If possible, have a night wedding using the lights outside on the terrace. I’m sure that would be absolutely gorgeous!
I’ll post pictures at a later time but I would definitely recommend to have events and weddings there. Reasonable pricing, excellent service, and great upgrade options!!!

I feel I should be writing this review for a 5 star fitness center and not an actual hotel. I stay in Marriotts an average of 12 nights a month whether it’s a main brand, a courtyard, residence inn, etc. For someone like me who’s typically in 4 different locations in 1 week I will say the courtyards are the easiest to get in and out of, I typically only stay at the main Marriott’s if I’m staying more than 1 night. I also choose my hotels based on their fitness centers. Everyone has a treadmill, I typically choose ones with bikes and obviously the gyms in the main brand chains are much larger and have more equipment until I walked into the fitness center at this location last week.
I was actually booked to stay at the Irvine Marriott, was casually browsing the app when I saw the pictures of this fitness center and immediately switched my reservation and I’m so happy I did. Courtyard gyms are hard to work out in as you’re in a tiny room by yourself with of couple of machines, it’s not very motivating but not here at the Courtyard in Irvine! There’s tons of cardio equipment, free weights, machines, balls and it even has a cross fit set up, I’m beyond impressed and can’t wait until I have to work in the Irvine area again so I can come back to this hotel.
The lobby is also gorgeous, the staff is welcoming, the rooms have all been upgraded to my favorite style with those adorable gray couches and the shower in my room was to die for, I couldn’t wait to get in it! Thanks for a nice relaxing & welcoming stay, I will be back!

Very clean a nice place. Very open spec inside. Room are very clean and nice.
The pool area is nice with some fire place area. Big outside screen. Great area for kids to golf and play table tennis.

Beautiful hotel, great location right by the Irvine Spectrum. We came here for a little weekend getaway from LA and it was a good call.
Gorgeous pool with cabanas that my kids loved and they show kids movies on weekend nights, which I didn’t know about until we arrived but man my kids were excited about that!
Terrific service, nice room, reasonably priced, this place is a winner!

Really don’t want to leave here. It’s so nice and comfortable for us. The gym is spacious and you can have a beautiful scenery of the pool. Staff is always nice, professional and smiley. I don’t know every staff name yet but Hoa and Vincent has mostly helped us. The manager is super friendly it’s like I’m jealous he always has a sincere smile on his face: D
I’m happy for him. The energy is light and guests that come here seems so happy as well! Everyone is friendly that I’ve experienced. Irvine Spectrum is just like less than 10 mins walk. Maybe faster if you speed walk. The lobby is spacious and modern. The only thing is there’s no tub for tub lovers but there’s an outside jacuzzi.
The housekeepers are helpful and friendly.
Everything else is so so nice!

context: this is marriotts «budget» hotel and ive stayed at hundreds of them
this place opened july of 2014 and this place was phenomenal. i thought it opened like a month ago or something. seems brand new. look at all my photos for the recap.
seriously if they just replaced the tolietry brands with something better they could charge $ 100 more per room. SOLID.
THE best courtyard marriott and probably better than any other marriott ive stayed at aside from JW and Renaissance properties. i can only think of 1 other renaissance property and this was better than most.
look at the small design elements and the back which is phenomenal. even the lobby space is GIGANTIC and couches everywhere.
parking was FREE too. i think or it was like $ 5 i can’t remember.

We have had several work meetings here and the space is great.
The inside is very inviting and cozy.

This is a truly awesome Hotel, We arrived at 10:30am and was welcomed by a really welcoming receptionist who welcomed us to there hotel and she let us check in right away, She asked us if we had any preference for our room and what view we would like, We got a great room on the 10^th floor with great views of Irvine and the Spectrum Centre.
The hotel was brand new and had only been opened a couple of months, you could tell, everything was brand new, and they had thought of everything, the room was fantastic with all the modern amenities and usb charging points by the bed and the desk to charge youre i phones and other devices, i loved the walk in shower and the huge bed. i also loved the huge windows. it was decorated well and the whole room seem very open and not closed in.
All the public spaces including the bar, the gym, the pool and the lounge areas were all very modern and up to date and the whole design of the hotel was superb!
The hotel is in a great location with the huge Spectrum Centre across the road and they also offer a complimentary shuttle to the nearby attractions and the Airport. It is also a great base for exploring the Orange County. We visited Laguna Beach which was only a 20 minute drive away.
The wifi also worked great throughout the whole hotel, My only concern would be the $ 15 parking charge which i think should be complimentary. but apart from that the whole hotel and service was great!
