This place is such a disappointment. I didn’t want to believe other Unilocalers’ bad reviews, but they were absolutely right. I was just about to confirm my order details and pay the deposit and all of a sudden Karess stopped responding to my emails. I gave her the benefit of the doubt at first and wrote her 3 more emails before giving up. I don’t understand why she likes to leave her customers hanging. She can easily respond back with a no or something, but she doesn’t and just ignores you. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Beware!!!

Found Karess Unilocal without checking her one star reviews, I immediately fall in love with her cupcake pictures! They look so so cute and I really wanted to do business with Karess, so I send her an email more than one month before my bridal shower to get a quote. Immediately I received an auto reply says Karess’s reply time takes about 5 – 7 days with her quote along with the auto reply email.
Since I have more than one month, so I waited.
First time it took her 7 days to reply me, which I can live with that.
She let know the price for the designs that I want it, her price is very fair I’ll give her that.
I reply her the day after and next email I got is about 8 days later, and just when I thought we can finally get this deal done. She never reply me again.
I mean, like the other person who also left a one star review says…“I would be fine if she could just say no. I would not recommend her to anyone based on the customer service I received“
Should’ve to read all the bad reviews first.
My shower is this coming weekend and I had to one week left to find backup cake shop to help me out.
I send out about 5 – 10 emails to different shops, most of them are booked but they were all fast on their replies, I received the replies within 24 – 48 hours. Galdy I got save by Twinfully Sweet and Fluffy Buns Bakery, I had book two shops because I need cupcakes and cakepops, but in the end of the day they safe my bridal shower!
I’m pretty sure that Karess can make wonderful looking cakes, just shame that I never get to try them.

So… My friend used Karess’s Creations for her daughter’s birthday and I loved her cake. I reached out to her (via email on ⁶⁄₂₉) for wedding cake inquiries. She responded (on July 7). Since her pricing is reasonable, I wanted to book her and I responded with questions (regarding how to book, how much do I need to pay for deposit, etc. on July 11), Karess did not respond. So I tried to re-​send the email on July 21 and I sent her a text as well and I’ve never heard a word back.
I would be fine if she could just say no. I would not recommend her to anyone based on the customer service I received.

Karess perfectly helped execute my overall vision for my daughter’s 1^st birthday. She made a beautiful two tier ombré cake, 12 coordinating cupcakes, and 24 cake pops. I spent $ 220 which is very reasonable especially given the finished product. She even threw in some extra treats which was such a nice gesture. Also we got a free smash cake which you get with a minimum order I think. Not sure what that threshold is
She was excellent with communication and was very accommodating. I’m referring her to all my mama friends!

I called twice left two voicemails sent a text that she responded to by saying please send me an email so I did and never recieved a response it is extremely unfortunate because her desserts look amazing but the customer service leaves much to be desired

Karess did a great job with my daughter’s 5^th birthday cake and mini cupcakes. The Frozen themed cake and cupcakes were very well decorated and beautiful. The kids really enjoyed the Olaf cupcakes. I would definitely use her again!

OMG. Everything was so absolutely BEAUTIFUL and delicious!!! Every guest commented how amazing the cupcakes and cake pops were!!! The Frozen themed cake was gorgeous… our 4yo couldn’t keep her hands off it. Karess was so friendly and accommodating to all my requests and suggestions… she EXCEEDED my expectations and then some (which is no small feat)!! She delivered and set up the most stunning dessert table (especially under the circumstances but that’s another long story and review). I showed her off to all the mommies at the party about this rare gem of a baker I found locally in Irvine. She is an absolute delight to work with and I will be using her going forward for all my baking needs! You will not be disappointed!

Just had my Chanel theme baby shower on Sunday. My friend took care of all the ordering, and it seemed to go pretty smoothly. The cupcakes looked amazing. I got so many compliments. The cupcakes were gorgeous and tasty. I had the vanilla and red velvet. They were moist and delicious. Usually you end up sacrificing taste for appearance, but in this case I got both. I have already referred her to a few friends.

Hands down best cupcakes I’ve had. The presentation was flawless and the taste even better. Great customer service and would definitely recommend ordering from her.

i found Karess 1 years ago in 2013 through Unilocal and i’m so happy ! it was my daughter’s 1^st Birthday party! I ordered vanilla Cupcakes with a crown on top! OMG it looked Awesome! And the taste was great! Everyone was very happy with the Cupcakes! She delivered Cupcakes and cupcake stands on time, helped me out to decorate our table! She is just very nice and talented! Yes, i would defenetly recommend Karess! So my daughter’s 2^nd birthday is coming up, so want to order Birthday cake this time!

Amazing. We had a last minute request for cake pops because we were dropped by a different company. We were having a Mario Brother’s Baby Shower and we were a week away. Karess took our order that Tuesday and had our 40 pops ready by Saturday night. They were a HIT. They were the center of our decorations, Piranhas from the video games. She got every detail and they were delicious. She is very professional and the pops truly were the work of a very skilled baker. Thanks again for saving our party!

I specifically signed up for a Unilocal account so I could write a review for Karess. First off, I couldn’t get past how talented this woman is at such a young age! She’s very easy to work with, incredibly accomodating and her prices are very reasonable. She made the cake (peppa pig theme), cupcakes and cake pops for my daughter’s 3^rd birthday and the taste was unbelievable. She knows how to make red velvet the way it’s supposed to taste… moist and delish! The cupcakes were red velvet and pumpkin, both incredible. the cakepops were red velvet and banana which were so amazing that they ended up being party favors and our party guests took most of them home… leaving us with only 2 left. (sad face).
I will definitely be using her for my future events.

Karess made a cake (chocolate) and cupcakes (vanilla and red velvet) for our daughter’s Frozen-​themed birthday party. AMAZING! Amazing flavor, consistency, just super yummy overall. And they looked great! Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how incredible the cake/​cupcakes were and we had people going back for seconds.
We will definitely ask Karess to make desserts for our next event. She is very talented, responsive, pleasant, easy to work with, and reasonable! Highly recommend.

This review is long overdue and I apologize. My experience with Karess has truly been amazing. She is very professional and creative. She supplied the desserts for my 30^th dessert table back in June 14 (pictures attached). I looked on her blog at the many desserts she made, but actually wanted to request for different ones… and she did them all exactly how I imagined them to be. She is very pleasant to work with and responds to emails promptly, which is exactly how I like to work.
This is what she made for me and my 100 guests.
1. Pink champagne cupcakes w/​St. Germain buttercream
2. Kahlua chocolate cupcakes w/​coffee cream
3. Martell Cordon Bleu infused chocolate dipped strawberries
4. White Chocolate Truffle spoons dipped in Chocolate with gold flakes
5. Tiramisu cups
6. Red Velvet Cake balls
She supplied all the desserts with everything that was dressed on them all for an amazingly affordable price. I don’t want to put her price on here as I know each person has their own unique requests, but I assure you, you will be happy with what Karess can do.
I wish it was 5 stars but I could only put for 4 because I didn’t actually get to taste the all the desserts. They flew off the table right after everyone sang Happy Birthday to me. I wish Karess would have made a care package for me with each dessert so I would be able to enjoy them after the party!

Everything was so great! We got 3 dozen cupcakes– chocolate, vanilla and pumpkin spice all with cream cheese buttercream frosting– and a vanilla smash cake for my son’s first birthday. They all tasted amazing and looked perfect! She even delivered! Prices are great and she was very easy to get ahold of and very attentive pre-​event! I couldn’t be happier! Thank you so much!

Amazing flavour, better than any store bought cupcakes. Great for many occasions because of specialised designs, highly recommend

Found Karess here on Unilocal.She is extremely talented. I gave her a brief description of what I wanted, sent some pics & she created the most fabulous Super Hero cake for me. The cake and cake pops tasted great. Can’t wait to need another cake! Customer for life. Keep up the good work Karess.

Everything is outstanding quality and the cost won’t hurt your wallet at all! The cakes and frostings are delicious and there is a great variety of yummy flavors.
