KK Termite and Pest Control, Inc

Need to update website. They mention servicing Orange County 8 times on their home page but then tell you they only service certain areas. May want to update the website so people won’t waste their time.

I couldn’t be happier with KK Termite. I just had my house tented on 6-​18-​2016. They are very pleasant to work with. They did what they said they would do and were on time. I would definitely use them again when my house needs termite work.

I feel this company either gives people a discount to give them 5-​stars, or we were the unluckiest customers in their history of «helping» people. The stress they created for our family was immense. Their level of unprofessionalism and inability to take responsibilities for their actions were uncanny. First and foremost, their estimated completion time was literally twice their quoted timeframe, but I really wish this was the greatest of our concerns.
We hired the company to do the power washing on our home, redo the outskirts of the roof, paint the home and our fences, and finally, tent the home for termite damage. It was probably our faults in having them do everything but the tenting because clearly, they were not cut out for the job.
When the job started, we had a brand new deck that was just installed and they called us while they were power washing the home and said that our deck was very badly damaged and needed to be repaired. Extremely confused, one of us took off from work and went back to the home, only to find out there were no workers there. Turns out, they power washed not our house, but a different house on the same street. After speaking with Manny (not having seen him) and then Lily, we asked they not send the same crew over to power wash the home, because we simply didn’t feel we could trust them. «No problem,» Lily claimed, «I will send Josh over and he very good» etc. Lily blatantly lied and sent the same people, Manny and some other person, to finish the power washing and painting. Whatever. Uncomfortable that she lied so nonchalantly, but I guess they were going to get the work done.
While intermittently being home during some of the days that they were working, I noticed the workers were leaving the site around mid-​afternoon and not staying the full day to work, which we knew would prolong their estimated completion time. After the exterior of the house was almost finished, the workers literally stopped showing up. The spray painting machine, ladders, and tools were all just left in our backyard. After calling Lily to say what was up, it turns out that Manny just «up and left» the company and Lily was expressing how upset she was because she «trusted him, bought him a truck to get to work, and tried to help him out.» As sad as this may be, as a customer, that’s not our problem, and as a contractor, FIX IT. She said that she would send Josh over, the same person she originally said was going to work on our home.
Josh was very polite and kind, but I feel the pieces he was left to pick up exceeded the scope of his expertise, specifically the painting. This was evidenced by paint drops on the floor of our backyard, our fence, which we also had them paint, got painted, but so did the plants that bordered the fence. All of this got a healthy coat of white. After bringing this up, Josh was kind enough to cut half of the bushes that were painted white. We asked Josh to repaint the front door because of the poor job the first time around, which he did, and I can now say the front door looks okay, though there was still evidence of sprayed white paint on the floor, which we tirelessly had to scrub off. The cable wiring that was previously attached to the exterior of the house was left dangling freely in various areas in the backyard, and I also had to fix this myself.
The paint droppings remain on the floor of our backyard. After they were done, I had to put the gutters in our backyard back up myself, as they left this uncompleted. We never got our house tented by them because of the frustrating level of work that preceded this. We really did not want to deal with the company at this point and agreed upon a price to pay after they vandalized our home.
While Josh was a cool person and knew his way around woodwork and Manny skipped out on the job, Lily, by far, was the most concerning as she would not take any responsibility for her actions. Her conniving way of business is the antithesis of how professionalism should be conducted. Furthermore, since we cannot speak on the tenting process of their company, it is my sincere recommendation that people do not get any sort of painting performed by this company. Instead of taking the company through a lawsuit or reporting them to the Better Business Bureau for vandalizing our property because we do not want anything to do with them anymore, I feel an honest Unilocal review is called for. I just wished we could have been among the other Unilocal reviewers who had a pleasant experience with the company, but we simply cannot.

I had a terrible termite problem at my house. I got multiple quotes from other companies and KK was the best price. They did an awesome job on the woodwork and fumigation. I highly recommend them.

I am a realtor. I called KK termite to help me audit a previous termite job done by a different company. They were very professional and knowledgeable. I am happy with their services and will use them again in the future.

The stars sometimes don’t tell the whole story, but before I go into my review, let’s just say we will be KK Termite’s customer for a looong time to come.
Starting with the estimate, Scott patiently checked all the possible spots. He then explained in detail the proposed repair, how long it will take, etc. We received the written estimate within 24 hours. It was sent in PDF format, and the information was well organized. Their field operations, Manny and Eric did a excellent job! The work took much longer than the original estimate, but Manny and Eric stayed true to phenomenal quality of work. Much of our repairs were basically custom woodwork, and you can tell Manny has been doing this for quite some time.
The removal of insulation was hard work, not to mention dirty and dusty. I lost count of the number of trash bags that held our old insulation. Prior to this part of the repair, they lined our stairs, and walkway with heavy duty paper so that they wouldn’t dirty the house. Scott also came by once a day, just to see if his guys needed anything.
We’ve used a couple of other termite companies before, but they all lacked attention to detail.

Had a HUGE ant problem last summer and regret not getting it taken care of sooner. Here comes spring and more ants from hot weather. We agreed to call someone as Terro, chalk, etc would only help for a bit and they would find a way back.
We called and got an appointment a few days later. Scott was very prompt, friendly, and respectful of our home, wearing booties while inside. He explained how what he was spraying works and he was confident where he sprayed would knock out some colonies. It’s been almost 2 weeks and I haven’t seen a single ant anywhere! The guarantee is 3 months. If I have issues again, definitely calling KK again!

Friendly folks over at the KK Termite. From the first phone call to meeting with the tech. The communication and follow through is amazing. I really appreciated the tech to perform all of the requested work and the clean up. He treated my house as if it was his house. Thank you so much for your services.

Thank goodness for KK Termite and Pest Control for getting rid of our MAJOR ant problem. Last summer we had a major ant infestation. The neighbors tore down their house to the studs and all the ants came to our house. The hubby insisted he could control them with Terro Ant bait and DIY ant killer made with sugar water and 20 Mule Team borax. The ant problem escalated and they started crawling across the bed. One night, I heard one in my eardrum. I kept turning my head to look at the wall because the noise was so loud but nothing was there because the ant was crawling inside my ear! The hubby thought I went crazy when I woke him up at 2 am to squirt it out of my ear with a syringe — we won’t even go into why and how I know how to do that instead of going to the ER/​Urgent Care. There were ants EVERYWHERE! I knew for sure, no pest control company was going to get rid of this problem.
I called a few companies but KK Termite was able to come the next day. They guaranteed our place to be ant free for the next 3 months or they spray again for free. Scott sprayed mostly outside since our baby was only a few months old. He did come a couple times over the last few months but mainly because we called even when we only saw a few ants. Lily or Shirley answers the phone immediately every time we called. They give a 2 hour window but Scott always shows up 15 – 30 minutes early. I would definitely use them again.

We used them to do wood work and a fumigation. They were not only easy to deal with, professional and did a great job but they were also less expensive than other bids. I would highly recommend them.

They were responsive to my call, and they came on time with the equipment to conduct a free inspection for termites in my attic and exterior wood surfaces. A few days later, they came on time to remove termite-​damaged wood on the exterior, treated the area with chemicals, and replaced the wood. Very professional and reasonably priced.

Having just moved from the Bay Area to OC, my wife and I were happy to find the house of our dreams (and @ 50 cents on the dollar vs. the Bay!) During the contingency period, we found KK Termite via Unilocal.We were pleased with the professionalism and accountability we observed from the KK Termite inspector who visited the property to the back office (Lily). When my wife had questions, Lily took the time to research the answer and follow-​up. Although we didn’t end up using their services, we’re confident that if we did, we’d be happy with the final result.

KK Termite was quick to respond to our ant infestation. The only one to call me back right away on the weekend and get someone out first thing Monday. They quoted me a fair price over the phone and stuck with it once they were here. The work was done professionally and I was assured that if we saw any ants again over the next 3 months they guarantee their work.
I did see another colony develop in our yard (didn’t make it to the house yet) and they came back within a day or two and took care of that free of charge.
Very honest, will definitely use again next season.

Poor customer service. I called and got a call back from the owner about getting a quote for my business and home. Three weeks later no follow up. Unprofessional.

I called Lilly at KK Pest Control after my so-​called service disappointed me and left me high and dry with an aggressive ant infestation. Lilly sent someone out within 48 hours. The treatment slowed down the ants but they weren’t gone so Lilly happily treated my home again over the Labor day weekend. I felt bad about requesting service over the holiday but she said something like «Business is business» with absolutely no resentment or regrets.
When I returned from holiday, there was NOTHING moving in my house. Lilly deliberately uses only as much chemical as needed and she shuns contracts because she doesn’t want to introduce unnecessary chemicals to the home. Customers call when they need the service, and Lilly gets someone out ASAP.
KK served me well. I would recommend them.

I have an issue with fleas in my car. While this company does not normally do services for fleas, the business owner was still kind enough to offer me some advice on how to treat my car in a more natural and cost-​effective way. It definitely helped my situation by a lot (even though I’m still working on getting them completely out). Thanks for the help! :)

Is there an option for more than 5 stars? To say the least I was beyond impressed and completely satisfied with this company. everything was done via email and they responded in a timely manner. The tech sent to my home was Scott. I was expecting to meet a person that was all dirty and rude that would sell me on the most expensive product they had. Instead I met a guy who was very clean looking, knowledgeable, and helpful. As I pulled into my garage Scott kindly moved the trash cans out of my way, and I didn’t even ask him to. He explained the process leaving me with no other questions to really ask. He did suggest get the more expensive package, but he added that it wasn’t necessary. Needless to say, he was in and out in less than half hour. He sprayed the whole house, upstairs and down, the garage and surrounding areas. I’d like to also add how courteous Scott was. He planned was to start downstairs and make his way up. I didn’t complain at all but I mentioned that I would do a little repair work upstairs when he was done. He kindly changed his plan and said he’d do the upstairs first so it will dry first so i can start my repairs sooner.
From email down to service and presentation I couldn’t ask for a better experience. Thank you again KK for your service. I already passed your information down to a coworker that is having issues with mites. See you guys in 6 months

I had ants crawling around my new home in Irvine, I turned to Unilocal to find an pest control service with competitive prices and quick service. KK Termite was the answer to my ant issue.
Lily was friendly and accommodating to my work schedule. She found a time that worked with me and it didn’t require me taking time off away from work. The inspector that came out was knowledgeable, courteous and great around my dog. He knew how to handle the situation and took care of my ant problem within 30 mins. The treatment they used dried pretty quickly and wasn’t harmful to my dog. I highly recommend KK Termite.
