Sullivan Solar Power is owned and operated by Daniel Sullivan. Daniel Sullivan is a State Licensed Master Electrician with over a decade of field experience. Born and raised in San Diego, Mr. Sullivan established Sullivan Solar Power to offer Southern California a Solar Power Solutions Provider that can deliver. Unlike the competition, based in Northern California and elsewhere, Sullivan Solar Power’s offices are located in San Diego and Irvine with offices opening in Riverside and Los Angeles, allowing us to service San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and Imperial Counties. Daniel Sullivan is the founder and President of Sullivan Solar Power, a firm that has installed more than 19,500,000 watts of solar power, ranging from small-​scale residential to large-​scale commercial and municipal systems throughout Southern California. Mr. Sullivan is a State Licensed Master Electrician with more than a decade of solar experience.

Inspired by the birth of his son, he started the company in 2004 working out of a garage with his Ford Ranger, tools and only $ 2,500 in the bank. Today, Sullivan employs 115 highly trained solar professionals with four offices in Southern California. According to California Solar Initiative data, Sullivan Solar Power is one of the top 10 solar companies in the state.

We had our Solar installed by Sullivan Solar almost two years ago and we are very happy. The process from start to finish was very professional and smooth. We have been seeing very low amounts and even negative amounts on our electric bill every month since install. We even got a check from our electric company paying us back for electricity. Everything thus far that they had promised us has been true, very hard to find these days. I recommend Sullivan Solar to anyone who asks us about our solar.

Sullivan sent my grandma a quote that included a state rebate that no longer exists. I felt it was kind of deceptive. Also, they use string inverters instead of micro inverters which doesnt make alot of sense to me. You can do better with other companies who use higher quality equiptment and dont pack the price to give you «state» rebates that no longer exist.

Don’t they know that when there are 5 stars everywhere they are obviously incentivising these reviews? At least put a 4 stars to make it believable. Regardless, both I and a few friends met with Sullivan Solar over the past year and they seemed very convincing. But when you look into them further you realize that they have some very dishonest business practices. One that bothered me was that they fabricated an «Orange county solar program» that does not exist, complete with rebate amounts that appear to be from the government but are totally false. My other problem is that I went to one of their informational meetings where they claimed to be endorsed by the city and claimed that the city would give us a rebate if we went with Sullivan, but when I called the city they said they endorse nobody and to watch out if someone says that. If you have to lie to get my business I don’t want to work with you.

Sullivan was one of three bids I got for solar installation. They were the only company that sent a representative to the site, climbed on the roof, took measurements and then submitted a proposal. They were very accurate in estimation of power production, did a superb installation, and finished earlier than proposed. They followed through on every item they suggested, and even advised on the rate schedule to follow to maximize savings. After four months of operation, the utility still owes us some money. Sullivan’s bid also was the lower of the 2 companies that use SunPower panels. The other company did not offer SunPower. Sullivan Solar was excellent in every phase of the install from initial proposal to final inspection and followup afterwards. They deserve the five star rating.

After receiving proposals from multiple solar providers, we were more confused than when we started. Sullivan Solar was the most complete, professional and easiest to understand. The City of Rancho sponsored an information session which we attended. All of our unanswered questions were answered at this time and we felt more comfortable with Sullivan than any other company. There was absolutely no pressure from anyone at Sullivan and they were very price competitive and used the best quality panels and equipment. Installation was quick, on schedule and completed in 2 days. The installation team was professional, polite, informative and very clean. We are saving tons of money with our new system! We love the on-​line, real time solar production data website that Sullivan provides so we can monitor the power we produce.

We had been considering going solar for quite some time but bids from other companies were too high. So glad our neighbor referred us to Sullivan Solar and we received a much better rate from them. There was no pressure from anyone as they let us consider our decisions. I also liked the fact that they have been in business for many years and had a lot of satisfied customers. We are very happy with the service we received, from the initial sales presentation to the delivery and installation process. Everyone was very knowledgeable and professional. The crew was friendly, arrived on time every day to finish the installation as scheduled. We have been producing solar electricity since September 2014 and just received our first bill from Edison (.81 cents for November!!!). Not bad since my average bills in summer were over $ 400. I would highly recommend using Sullivan Solar and say good bye to your electric bills!!!

Sullivan Solar Power installed our system last August 2014. The system was then turned on early September. I was very impressed on how fast the project was completed; beginning from the initial presentation from Michael, to the planning and build with Ed and his team. I remember that morning when Michael, Ed, and and their team arrived at our home with a fleet of Sullivan Solar Power vehicles ready to install our 20 panel system. Not only did they arrive when promised, but 10 minutes early. Wow! Extremely professional from beginning to end. The system was in place within 3 days. I’m astonished on what savings we are now having with our electric bill. Great decision to go solar, even greater decision to go with Sullivan!

Sullivan Solar Power installed our 27 panel solar power system almost 4 years ago. Our initial contact was with Hans B (who I heard is no longer with the company). They did a great job from the initial design, installation, and the solar system has been trouble-​free over the years. We received bids from 5 other solar companies and we picked Sullivan because they gave us personal visits (not just trying to talk to us on the phone or emails), adequately answered our questions, and gave us a very competitive price. We are so glad that we had our solar power system installed as especially this past Summer with the high temperatures, we had our air conditioner on everyday and some nights. With solar our electric bill last month was less than $ 40 and this included the daily charging of our electric car. If we didn’t have solar, our electric bill last month could had easily been over $ 300. Now that my workplace has free electric car charging, I expect our next electric bill will be in the negative, meaning Edison will be paying us to use electricity! We are environmentally conscious about saving natural resources and wanted to save money on electricity costs so going solar was definitely the right thing to do. Thanks Sullivan.

Excellent experience all the way around. I was referred to Sullivan by a friend. In addition to Sullivan, I spoke with two of the national brand companies. Sullivan’s willingness to meet with me in person, answer my many questions, and present multiple investment options ultimately gave me the confidence I needed to go solar with them. The experience was highly professional and the finished product delivered as expected. Side note — I really get the feeling that the Sullivan Team takes tremendous pride in the fact that they are doing good by the environment. We interviewed 3 companies including Sullivan before we made our decision. Andrew was my initial contact. I thought he would be called a salesman but he if fact was a project developer. He came to the house with a system completely designed for our home. All questions were completely answered with no pressure to purchase. I for one hate a hard sell approach. From the time we said yes every person that I had contact with treated me with absolute professionalism. Starting with Andrew, then to the installation team, and ending with Morgan in the final closing meeting everyone treated me as if I was there number one priority. In all facets of the project everyone did there job like they were working on there own home. The pride they took in doing the job right was very impressive. Our system has been fully operational for about a month and it is fun to see our meter run backwards. I was so impressed with Sullivan that before my system was complete one of my neighbors stopped by to ask me about my project and I recommended Sullivan to him and he ended up buying a system for his house. I told my Aunt about Sullivan and it looks like she is going to purchase a system. Anybody who asks me about my experience with Sullivan will get a very positive response. One of the best companies that I have ever dealt with. Would recommend them 100% of the time.

Extremely pleased with Sullivan Solar from start to finish. Great job during the sale of forecasting my electrical savings … they clearly know their technology and SDG&E rate practices. My actual savings are running ahead of their forecast! Installation was flawless. My wife even mentioned how beautiful converter layout, conduit, etc … were done (and I am the engineer in the household). Post installation and start-​up they came back to confirm system was operating at 100% (commissioning). Go with Sullivan Solar, the haste free way to save the planet and save some money!!!

This will sound like a review posted by Sullivan solar themselves but it is not! (come check out my roof and see for yourself!!) I talked with many other companies, got several quotes– feared the worst for the entire process but Sullivan exceeded expectations. From the initial sales call to the learning process to the install and final walk through– every team member at all levels was really stellar. I am trying to get as many friends as possible to use them because they were so top notch. I was waiting for issues with the install– never happened! System install was great– saving me money. Dont mess with others– these guys (and gals) are in the business for a long time for a reason and know how to get the job done

This my 2nd review after our solar panels were installed Sept. 2013 primarily about customer service and online data monitoring. So far after almost a year of having our solar panels installed I can say that I’ve been happy with the customer service for the online data monitoring. They email to let me know if our solar panels aren’t working properly the same day and work with me to make sure it gets up and running. I’ve only had one incidence where they had to come out to check and got it up and running within 15 minutes. It’s been a joy having my air-​conditioning on this summer without worrying about a costly electric bill. It’s even better when I see my electric bill averaging under $ 2 every month since October 2013. I’ve bragged to all my friends about how wonderful it is to save money on my electric bills because of my solar panels. Thank you for making it happen Sullivan Solar!!!

My monthly electric bill average over 3 years was $ 498 prior to solar, last month was ($ 9.47) & month before was ($ 53.33). The finished install blends with my house perfectly & Sullivan even painted any exposed conduit.

We were very pleased with our experience with Sullivan Solar. From our initial contact with the sales representative, who was very knowledgeable, explained all our options in detail along with what we could expect from the system we chose to go with, through the installation process. The installers were very careful in their work. They took the time to make sure everything was done right. Our experience with the system has been excellent. It has performed beyond expectation, and has substantially reduced our electric bill.
Sullivan solar promised to reduce our electricity bill by at least two-​thirds with the system we installed. However, we have seen reductions of better than 80% since we started generating energy from the panel in spite of some difficult weather conditions this summer (high humidity and more cloud cover than normal for this area).

After interviewing five other solar companies we decided on Sullivan Solar because of their customer service. At the initial visit there was no pressure, unlike many of the other solar companies that we interviewed. Our consultant explained the process, did a roof inspection, answered all of our questions, was very knowledgeable and consistent in his follow up. The installers were on time, exceptional, organized and professional. We have been extremely happy with our interaction and the final solution from Sullivan Solar and have shared the experience with many colleagues. We were producing power in a short amount of time. And of course, no electric bills and watching our SCE meter running in reverse is exciting. We would recommend Sullivan Solar to everyone.

My husband and I were thrilled to purchase our home in 2012. And then we were horrified when our electric bills quickly climbed over $ 700 a month in the summer! I got quotes from three solar companies, but was underwhelmed by them to say the least. Then, we contacted Sullivan Solar because they were the contracted company for the solar incentives offered by the City of Orange at the time. I am so so glad we did! The deal they found us on our solar panel lease blew away the other quotes I had received. Their installers were great-​very courteous and friendly (they even bought girlscout cookies from my little cousin!), and the service from Sullivan throughout the process was too notch. Definitely recommend working with them if you are planning on installing a solar system.
