Notary Services Review:
I came on a Saturday, notary services are from 10am-4:30ish, even though the store opens at 9am. The notary man was quick, friendly, and efficient. The whole process took about 10 minutes and no appointment necessary. The total was $ 10.

Good and fast service. Nothing to complain here. My go to UPS store!

This place didn’t even deserve a star, went in and asked the price for printing service, the staff was rude and looked all confused. I put in my credit card and it charged me for almost 5 dollars for using the computer. I didn’t print anything out because they didn’t have any other size of paper besides 8×11. No one’s trying to help me, they were just standing behind the counter and there was no other customers at that time. Worst ups store.

Went to print a paper. Poor folks couldn’t even figure out how to do it for me after trying «every single option», so I eventually tried it myself (after having to pay $ 2.50 to use their computer) and got it done. Charged us $ 1.00 for EACH paper scanned, and then even charged us $ 2.50 for «scan set up». What.
Best part was, they never notified us about charges until our final receipt… Great surprise! Workers hardly acknowledged us, not even with a last word. They just walked away from the counter with no regard, and when we were standing there wondering if they would need anything else, THEY were confused why we were still there.
Like someone else said in their review of this place: at least TRY to pretend like you care about your customers… And maybe even try to act like you know how to do your job.

Very disappointed that I have been a customer for over 15 years with a mail box there, and they started returning packages if it had my wife’s name on it, EVEN if my name was on it too. Missed getting several wedding presents that got returned. They charge an extra $ 60 a year to add my wife’s name to the box. What a rip off and poor customer service to return items even when my name is on it!!!

Poor, poor customer service. At least pretend you care when a customer brings you a concern regarding the quality of a product you sell.
A couple of weeks back, I purchased 3 rolls of packaging tape, not that I needed all three, but it only came in a 3-​pack. I tossed my receipt thinking I wouldn’t need it for anything, it’s tape –what can go wrong? Well, this turns out to be a very special tape because lint, dirt and whatever else sticks to the side gumming of the tape. (What does this mean? Imagine holding a roll of tape on its side in the palm of your hand. Now flip your hand over. Wa-​la, the tape’s stuck to your hand.) So as I’m neatly taping my package together, I am adding all sorts of fuzzies to my box. Yes, I care about presentation.
I walked back into the store with two rolls still in its original packaging and asked the two ladies standing behind the counter if there was anything that could be done considering I had no receipt. I even gave them an approximation of how much cash I paid. One rep didn’t even pull her a$$ off the counter she was leaning against as she merely looked my way to disinterestingly brush off my complaint, from the moment I said hello.
Because I’m stuck with not one, but three crappy rolls of super gummy tape, I was hoping there was something that could be done. Store credit, I ask? «Not without a store receipt,» was lazy rep’s lame response. I left the three rolls of tape sitting on their counter and said they could have it along with their six dollars and some change. Cause you see, all you had to do was walk over to your mailing supply section and see that it was exactly the 3-​pack you sell.
At least they are consistent: poor quality products, poor quality reps.

Quick, easy, and professional. I don’t know why people are complaining. $ 10 for a document to be notarized.

I use this store to drop off packages and everyone is very friendly and nice. I have also used them for their notary services. I would recommend this store.

THE NICKLE-​AND-​DIME STORE.
Should have checked-​in Unilocal before going here. My experience very similar to others. Kid at the counter would not notarize my document. Claims it was missing a page. All I had was the signature page and was told by the sender that was all that was required. I asked if I could have page 1 faxed. Sure, but it would cost me a dollar! Talk about petty charges. I left without having it notarized. Took the document over to another popular «mail service» center and mission accomplished.

Just wanted to write about the notary service here. Pretty standard and straightforward. I would say the notary who also seems like the manager is not very welcoming. A direct person so if you don’t have all your ducks in a row, prepare to be frustrated and have to come back again.
Once we were prepared, it was quick and easy to get the documents notarized. Price is I think $ 10 per document that needs to be notarized. It’s not the friendliest or nicest experience, I just came here to get it done because it was closeby.

I will never go here again. The owner is very rude and very cheap. I used the computer to print out an excel worksheet that happened to be misaligned so yes, it was originally my fault, and I accidentally printed out 30 copies of it. I told him I had to edit it and reprint, and he refused to credit me and still charged me for all of the copies. Then he instructed me on how to print sheet 2 from the excel sheet and it still printed out wrong — charged me for that page too. After i removed my usb, he claimed i broke his computer because it came up with an error window. Really guy?! To use the computer for less than five minutes and print 30 (60 really) copies, i was charged $ 18. Thats absurd. I would have been better off going to Jenny Craig and asked the receptionist to print it out or something. Would never recommend this UPS.

Never going here again. The owner — who is always angry and rude — tried to force me to buy an entire roll of packaging tape because I needed a four-​inch strip for a small package. He argued with me saying it was necessary because I had multiple packages — except all my packages were self-​sealing (i.e., don’t need tape.) When I refused his outrageous offer, he started arguing with me in front of other customers. I refused to buy anything and he took my package after realizing he was embarrassing himself in front of his customers.
He’s a cheapskate and I once overheard him threatening to call a customer’s employer if he did not return to pay for a small item after needing to get money out of his car. This guy needs to be managing a pawn shop in the ghetto, not running a UPS Store in Irvine. Past employees have told me in confidence that they hate working for him. There are 6+ Postal/​UPS Stores within 5 minutes of this place. There is no reason for you to deal with that kind of treatment just for small supplies and packages, so take your business elsewhere.

Two stars mainly because of an experience with the owner or manager who was not too friendly and told me to buy a new printer because his scanner could not scan my printed label. You can tell me in a nicer way to get new toner (who buys a new printer when their timer runs out??). In addition, the printout looked fine and I’ve printed over 10 not bar codes that have worked fine at another UPS location subsequently as well as coupons, tickets, etc that have barcodes successfully scanned. Furthermore another employee there asked him a question while I was in the store and he did not seem to treat her well either and she seemed scared of him.

The lady that helped me here looked like such a kind and gentle soul. «Hi there! How can I help you?» Made my day.
I dropped off pre-​paid packages here for work. Unlike other UPS stores, she asked if I wanted a receipt. I usually have to ask for a receipt.

Due to this plaza also housing a Bank of America and Mitsuwa and a lot of other restaurants, it is very difficult to get parking next to this particular UPS store itself. Sometimes when I come to this location I need to lug the boxes more than one row of cars over due to the lack of parking directly next to it or have someone drive me here and drop me off while I carry the box over.
This place is very by-​the-​book. They told me to drop an insanely bulky 70lb prepaid package on the scale (I was carrying it by hand since I only have a 50lb capacity handtruck) and by doing so I knocked a bunch of other boxes off the counter. (I work in the shipping department, so I think putting it on a scale on a table is counter-​intuitive.) After that occurred, I said to them that I asked for confirmation first so it was their fault.
I wanted a receipt for this order but they didn’t offer one to me, however, I did observe them scanning three out of four boxes of this shipment. The packages arrived at the destination location with no issues, so at least they gave it to the driver without any problems.
If you check in you get 5% off UPS shipping. Not that it matters to me since I’m just the guy that drops the boxes off.

I had a product that needed to be returned because it was not needed. I was never told nor is it printed on their receipt that returns can only be given store credit. I explained to the owner that I do not live in this area and a store credit would do me no good. He didn’t care, just pointed to a small sign, covered by other merchandise, that states no refunds. In this day an age I do not understand how a credit refund can not be done in the computer. Sounds to me like they just don’t care about customer. Beware purchasing anything from this store.

I had several legal documents notarized here and it was quick and convenient. I’ve also made copies here.
I drop off shipments regularly and it is always very quick and easy. It’s great to have them so close by. The shipping can be a bit pricey but they’ve never let me down so far!

Will NEVER go back to this location! I will drive out if my way and pay more to use anyone else!
I went to this location by my house with a prepaid package. The line was out the door and the owner/​manager offered to take the prepaid packages from everyone so we wouldn’t have to wait. I gave him my package along with a couple other people and he took them to the counter. I usually wait for a receipt but I needed to pickup my son from school; so I left. A week later I went to track my package and it was not in the system. I then returned to this location on walnut and culver to resolve the matter. The older middle eastern man who took my package the week before was there. I told him what had happened and he was extremely rude. Basically told me I was lying and that I never dropped my package off. According to him everything is scanned every time so there’s no way I brought it. He then gave me a UPS corporate phone number and said it wasn’t his issue and walked away. Without a record that the package was dropped off there isn’t much the corporate office can do. I now have to pay $ 65 for a dress I don’t have.
Avoid this location at all costs!

This UPS branch really need a better customer service. The staffs are not as enthusiastic to help you. Not very effecient.
If you are there to drop off your packages, that’s great. Cos’ you don’t need to interact with them. But if you need shipping service, GOOD LUCK!
Parking space is also limited.

I have no idea why this place has such funky reviews. I’ve been here a few times over the last year to have documents notarized and always had a pleasant experience.
The staff is courteous and I’ve never had to wait long. Seems like a good place to me.
