Specialties
We are a cottage bakery serving the DFW area. We specialize in cupcakes and are expanding into rare and unusual cookies soon. Because this is a second business for both of us please allow 2 – 3 business days to fulfill an order.
History
Established in 2011.
Welcome to Our Sweet Start, a start up bakery with treats that will sate even the greatest sweet tooth. The company was started by Tiffani Snell and Jonathan Pham on a whim and after hard work and long hours has devolved past a pet project into and full fledged all consuming, completely satisfying business. Tiffani and Jonathan love to see people with that «oh this is so good» face when they first try a sweet. Neither of them will settle for anything less than perfection and work very hard to deliver.
With lots and lots of help from friend and family Jonathan and Tiffani started Our Sweet Start. The bakery they started from a joy and cooking, a good head for business, and a somewhat healthy love of sweets is now something they would like to share with the rest of the world. The treats they sell are homemade from quality ingredients. The textures and flavors are unsurpassed. The excitement of crafting each cake shows in the final result.
Meet the Business Owner
Tiffani S.
Business Owner
Tiffani studied Microbiology at Texas Tech University and has been using her degree in the food industry since graduation in 2007. One day while siting in class a professor say «Scientist make excellent chefs. Think about it, all we do all day long is follow recipes for experiments.» She, the head baker carefully crafts every treat that Sweet Start makes with only the joy of the recipient in mind.
Jonathan graduated with a degree in International Business from Texas Tech in 2007 and is now currently studying Computer Science at UTA. At Our Sweet Start he is a business machine and knows his way around the kitchen as well. The entire idea for the bakery came one day while sitting at his computer. He wanted a job where he was his own boss. He wanted a job where he could make others happy and something that essentially recession-proof. He decided in that very moment that with his head for business and skills with computers, his bakery idea could lead to the very career he wanted.
