Poor quality. Old products. We ordered Dahi Vada and the Vada was atleast a week old. I complained this to a staff in the Royal Sweets. I just received a ‘Sorry’ message and she didn’t even come forward to replace it for me. I had to argue for 5 minutes to get that replaced with another chaat. The chaat that we replaced it was not stale, but no way good. Please stay away from this place. I would prefer to give no star to this place.

My mom hates Indian food, which is just another way of hinting at her racism. Also, she’s like a kid who passes judgement without knowing why. She just knows she’s not going to like something. But I’ve been wanting to go here for a long time so; one day I forced her to come here to give it a shot. The open signs were off, I had to convince her it was open and when we went inside, it took five to seven minutes before we were acknowledged. I’m not going out to eat to save money, so I had no problem with the price; my mom however did and when drinks didn’t come with it and we had to pay for canned drinks separately, she found yet, another reason to hate this place. I don’t know much about Indian food but I’ll take the time to learn, which is what we were there for but there was no help for that at all. We were kind of left to figure it out like some survival-hunger game set to the most difficult playing level. Also, it’s hotter than crap outside and their A/C wasn’t working so well. Not only was there a problem with being tended to but, the tables weren’t cleaned and I had to find some reason as to why buffet was different here from anywhere else. It’s not supposed to be. They just aren’t paying very much attention to wanting to sell food. They seem to be somewhat bothered by certain people with money as opposed to people they’re not bothered by with money, so making money as a business model, doesn’t work for them. I’m not sure I want to invest too much time with wanting to know what their business model is. And my mom’s ‘racism’ is even worst for it. Way to go, guys!

With so much hype on FunAsia on all kinds of food these people carry… They forget to mention that the extensive buffet is only done on the weekends. On the weekdays … it is A la carte with limited options … not accurately portrayed while advertising… Left feeling unsatisfied… the two star rating is given because of the descent quality of Chole Bature that they have… Maybe you should try it only during the Weekends…

My friend always told me to try Ras Malai… so of course i had to get some. My pops and I were delivering some merchandise to a customer, whose business happened to be conveniently next to Royal Sweets. I’m not sure if this is the same as the Richardson location, but i decided to take a look. The pops and I got the ras malai and of course gulab jamun. Ras Malai — Texture was similar to cottage cheese. Cyclinder pieces swimming in a sweet cream with some nuts. It was similar to a cheesecake. Gulab Jamun — fried balls drenched and soaked in syrup. This is one of my favorite desserts. I’ll have to take a look at the Richardson location, cause i’d prefer to go there cause it’s extremely close to the crib.

I’ve been here before. And to another location for these guys. Today was just beyond disappointing. First, the open sign wasn’t even on. Second, the ladies didn’t even acknowledge us. Third, just because I have an American accent doesn’t mean I don’t know Desi food. I’ve eaten it my whole life, been to India and back. Just because I walk, talk, and dress like an American doesn’t mean you make my food completely bland. We had to ask for more chaat masala and chutney and she acted as if we were imposing on her. Will never come back here again.

Utterly Disappointed! Went there for weekend Lunch buffet which is vegetarian; Not a single item that I tried could I say I liked it and I tried all of them; buffet dosa which was alright but the Sambar was pretty bland. Some items were heavier on salt, in fact most of them — the daal was alright but too salty even when mixing with plain rice; some were devoid of optimum spices that you’d imagine to be on a Indian veg. dish and some just loaded with spices that wouldn’t complement on the same food items. The worst item on the menu was the noodle. I know, noodle is not an Indian dish but if you don’t know how to prepare it please don’t put on the menu, we can live without it for a buffet. The dhai-wada was tasteless, nothing like what it should be. The sweets were chewy and stale and Jalebi was not good at all. Please stay away from the buffet and stick with the menu item… what a waste of $ 10.81

I would like to start this review with letting the users know that DONOTBELIEVETHE4 star review by ReenaD… i went there to have some sweets after a lovely goat curry meal… trust me the meat was softer than the kala jamuns there!!! We ordered some jalebi, rass malai and kala jamun… all were just balls of sugar with no flavor and no taste to it… if i were to bring my american mates to try some World Famous Indian sweets, they would be SO disappointed and me, i would hold my head low in shame!!! Even the water machine is so complicated that i chose to drive 15miles, reach home and then finally quench my thirst! I was never so disappointed in Indian food… all thanks to Royal Indian Sweets… FYI one star here means that i am being very kind to Royal Indian Sweets…

The Indian snacks here are good(mixtures, cashews, samosas). Some sweets are decent here although they now charge you for the syrup that comes with the sweets which does not make sense. The samosas here are fantastic. They are on the spicy side. I have not tried the buffet or the food here, just the snacks sold at the counter. Service here is hit or miss.
