I love this salon! Friendly staff who seem to immediately know who you are when you walk in the door, even if it’s only your second visit. We moved to Texas just under a year ago, and I lucked out when I found them. Megan does a fantastic job with my color (I get many, many compliments at work and when I’m out and about) and cut — and I am never put on hold or forced to listen to a recording when I call.
Great spot.

It’s been years since I’ve colored my hair, but I’m getting some grey now so I really needed to. It’s hard for me to find someone that can do a nice job because my hair is so thick. I like getting highlights but I like them to make it look very natural which no one can seem to do. This the reason I stopped coloring my hair years ago. You wind up spending hundreds of dollars and hate your hair, ya know? Well, I spent $ 200 + and once again I wasn’t happy. So while I was visiting friends in Dallas they suggested this salon and I thought what the heck… maybe they can fix it. I saw Shelly and she is amazing! My blonde highlights are perfect! She was fast but very thorough. The color is great and it looks natural. Thank you so much Shelly!

Holy Crap! Men’s haircut is $ 40 plus tip! I usually get my haircut at Floyds for $ 25 but this place was closer to my work. My hair takes all of 10 minutes to cut. The girl cutting my hair was pretty i will say but my haircut wasn’t so pretty. Not just that i had to pay close to $ 50 for a bad haircut. Ladies seem to like this place but i don’t think this place is for men.

Had hair colored with Shaundae Starnes here on Friday. Have been here once before and really like her. She uses great products and is very professional. When I leave there, my hair is like silk versus the straw I came in with. My color lasts quite a while too. Try her out– you won’t be disappointed.

I booked an appointment here after a friend recommended the salon, for my wedding day. I am from the Dallas area, but live out of state now and Taylor was very sweet and allowed me to exchange emails with her back and forth to discuss what I wanted and was very sweet and patient. My disappointment came in the execution. I had a «free» consultation the day before, but when I showed up for a «run through» I was told it would cost me $ 90. I turned the «run through» down and said I was just here to meet her and have her see my hair, etc to discuss what we’d do tomorrow. That was a 10 — 15 minute conversation and I felt rushed to leave. I showed up the next day, she put my extensions in and did a lovely job. I had a few hours before the actual wedding and was worried my curls would fall. She sprayed me down and promised they wouldn’t … they didn’t even make it to the START of my wedding. The curls all fell down and the extensions just looked limp and long and straight. I’m lucky the photographer came to the salon otherwise I wouldn’t have had a single picture with what my hair was supposed to look like. I was also lucky my veil was long, otherwise it really would have looked terrible. On top of the results of my actual hair, I was actually charged $ 50 more than what I was quoted on the phone. I was told it was because she washed and did a «blow out» prior to fixing my hair up. Who shows up to a salon with their hair half done already? I have NEVER been asked to wash and blow dry my own hair prior to showing up to a salon or ever charged for those services in addition to being made up. I thought it was excessive and ridiculous, especially given this salon is not cheap to start with. That combined with the fact that I didn’t get what I paid for left me really upset. As nice as she was, at the end of the day, it wasn’t what I paid for and I was left feeling ripped off and unsatisfied.

I have been going to Scott for two years now and he is my favorite stylist of my lifetime! Firstly, he is the first stylist I have ever known who doesn’t overcut my hair. He really understands how to cut curly hair. His color is always on point and he does a very thorough consultation with you every time you sit in the chair to make sure you get exactly what you want. We have great chats and I always enjoy the staff – they make an effort to know your name. It feels like family.
I think it’s finally time for the world to know about the «3 minute cut». I coined this term when I first came to see him, after enduring years and years of scissor-​happy stylists at other salons. You know the kind: they chop away at your hair and then they chop it some more and you don’t stop them because you don’t want to seem difficult and then you wake up the next day looking like Miley Cirus. Well, in the beginning of our courtship, I said, «Scott. here’s the deal: You get 3 minutes to cut my hair and then it’s over. At 3 minutes it’s scissors down». He was totally onboard whereas with other stylists it would’ve gone in one ear and out the other. We still laugh about it and I love that he gets it and he knows that it really is over at 3 minutes. Two years later, he still gives me the best 3 minute cuts of anyone in Dallas.
So when you go to Scott, don’t forget to ask for the 3 minute cut!

Some stylists at the Salon do a good job (Taylor was good), but my last stylist left me leaving in tears. I have very long hair past my chest & I came in for just a trim… I asked for 1 inch. The stylist had me stand up and literally just chopped off about 5 inches of my «dead ends»… Like if I wanted you to take off all my damaged ends I would have said so! I’m sensitive about my hair and was not pleased with the cut and the expensive price. If I had a little more balls I would have asked for my money back!

I have been in the search for a great hair stylist since I moved back to Dallas. And I was pleasantly surprised when I booked my first appointment with Will. I have been happy after every single appointment I have made with him. Request Will for fabulous hair!

Meh. I have experienced so much better. I recently went to the Scott LeMaster salon and was not thrilled with the cut or blow-​dry that I got. I read the rave review here and I thought I would make an appointment. I didn’t get the worse cut of my life, but for $ 78.00 it should have been alot better.
I am sure a lot of people leave a salon looking and feeling good but I did not. The blow-​dry was done half a**** with the stylist using the largest possible round brush that she could find to rush through drying my long hair. On my way home, I realized that all of my under layers were still damp.
Update ⁶⁄₃₀: After receiving a very nice message from the owner, I have decided to modify my review. Even though I wasn’t 100% thrilled with the service, the salon was nice, and the products they carry are great.

Scott LeMaster Salon & Spa opened not too long ago. I was introduced to this place because my hair stylist moved there.
Things I love:
The décor is very contemporary but it doesn’t look «cold»
The staff is awesome! Everywhere you turn they are offering you drinks. Sometimes they will come by with special treats like champagne or chocolate covered strawberries on holidays like Mother’s Day.
It doesn’t cost an arm & leg
You can spend the day and get everything done — your hair, nails, even a massage. They also do waxing & other things.
The location is great — it’s right off 114 O’Connor.
Their services are consistently good. I’ve never had a scary haircut or anything.
All the staff is professional and also very friendly.
Even after I moved from Las Colinas, I still make the drive every time I need my hair cut.
I would definitely recommend this place. If you need someone to cut & style your hair, ask for Megan. she’s awesome!
