The Dump

After months of searching for a twin daybed mattress, my coworker urged me to visit the Dump. I’m glad I did, as they had the best prices for dream collection mattresses.

The Dump can be hit or miss depending on inventory but we have bought several things there over the years. This time we went in on a mission. We had a pretty good idea about what we didn’t want and we were just going to see what they had. A good sales person can make a world of difference. Asad was that difference. He listened to what we were looking for, showed us pieces that met our criteria and was knowledgable about the product. Thanks for help.

Thank you, Charlie, for stepping in and stepping up to connect us directly to Rob. Through Charlie’s efforts, we were able to work directly with Rob, the business office, the warehouse & delivery. Your over-​the-​top efforts to make sure we were pleased is beyond what any other furniture store would do.
We also want to mention Oliverio Arrazola & Corey Matthews! I don’t think we’ve ever had nicer delivery folks. Oliverio & Corey actually opened & checked everything *before* coming, just to make sure we were well-​cared for!
A word of warning to those reading this: Avoid salesperson Tien /​Thien (spelling) and you’ll save yourself headaches with his lack of knowledge, arrogance and lack of assistance. We all make mistakes, sir, and that’s understandable. While what we do is important, it’s what we do afterward that defines who you really are. We just needed you to correct your mistake instead of leaving it to everyone else to take care of it for you.

The Dump is definitely one of the «Hit of Miss» stores. We have bought some furniture from them and have been happy.
The bad thing is the super pushy employees. Have you ever seen the tv show The Walking Dead? Everywhere you turn, here comes another employee, staring at you with the intent to go in for the kill. RUN! Come on, people. I realize you work on commission, but stalking me at every turn is frustrating and uncomfortable. Here is a tip for the employees… stop acting like you are on a zombie apocalypse and treat me like you want to help me, not bite me!
I suppose if you want to have fun, play some sick game of hide and seek with them, but I think you will always lose.

They are a bunch of crooks and liars! I hate this place and will never shop here again! Overpriced! The mattresses they have on the showroom floor Are not what is delivered! False advertising is what they are doing!

How the fudge nuggets is this place still open? They are ridiculously overpriced and their pieces are not even that nice. The moment you walk in their front doors, the center piece — patio furniture — is $ 3,999 for the set. First off, you don’t get anywhere NEAR the amount or quality of pieces you should get for the price that many rely on for a car down payment.
My advice? Stay the heck away from here. Nebraska Furniture Mart, Room 2 Go, Haverty’s and Ashley is even cheaper than The Dump, and the quality is much nicer.
Just WOW…

I was scheduled to have bedroom suit delivered tomorrow April 4^th. I received a call at 6:40 to inform me they did not know where my mattress was, and I could reorder and get it 2 weeks later or I could come in Friday and pay for a more expensive mattress. When I told the sales associate that the dump could provide me with a mattress of equal or greater value at their expense. He said he would talk to his manger and shocker they never called back and now they are closed. Poor customer service!!! The Dump will never get my money again!
Update: After my initial Unilocal review I was contacted by the manger and was given an upgraded mattress. The furniture is great quality and looks beautiful.

They were supposed to deliver after 12:00 but they call me up the day before to let me know they would be there between 10 – 12.
What part do they not get.
They make the time slot for delivery on my day and set me up on 4 hours time slot and they should stick to it. Especially when this is set up in the store. As I had to take off work to get this done I’d already told them my scheduled planned time off and still got dinged. Now I have to take all day off as The Dump did the very same thing and I’ll be dinged for unplanned time off!!!
WHAT DO YOU PEOPLE NOT GET. EVERYONE HAS TO WORK. WE ARE BUYING AT YOUR STORE AND WITHOUT SHOPPERS YOU HAVE NO STORE. .
Then you don’t do what you are supposed to.
Oops we have to go by our route instead of CUSTOMER SET APPOINTMENT. SO BECAUSE I Set up 6 different appointments ALL
FOR THE AFTERNOON ON THE 4TH YOU AND THE Best Buy randomly changed time for my delivered. Now instead of not getting paid for 4 hours, I don’t get paid for 8!!!
Either fix this or stop delivering. It’s not working!!!
It was nice of him to say he had sent me a private message. Makes them look like they care.
I did not get any messages from him.

Absolute worst sales experience in my life. Was met by salesman Robert. I tell him I need to buy 2 mattresses. Before even letting me try out a mattress, he asks me if I’m going to finance. Should’ve left then. He then let’s me try out a few mattresses. I choose the 2 I wanted. I ask him about delivery & he says that «I will have them in 5 days». Robert then proceeds to drop me off in «The District» saying he needed to take care of another customer «real quick». 25 minutes later, I’m approached by another sales rep & she’s obviously completely irritated with having to help me. She takes me to a register to check me out. She pages Robert & they go back & forth making it awkward for me. She finally takes me to the business office, drops the paperwork off & leaves, whereas every other customer had their rep with them.
I moved my old mattresses out of their rooms to have the carpets cleaned & threw them away. 5 days passed & no contact from the Dump. I called customer service & they said they’d have Robert call me back. No call came. 2 weeks later, I go back to the Dump & spoke to Robert in person. I explain my frustration & Robert says he has to speak to the mattress manager & he’d txt me. 3 weeks of sleeping in my living room later, with NO calls/​txts from the Dump, I return for a refund. You think I would’ve been directed to a manager of some kind at the register to try & talk me out of my refund. Nope. Good riddens. Never again. The Dump has been dumped.

They lie about their cheap mattress for 199.00 & 399.00 as advertise on tv. I feel their prices are a little to high for some of their products but the customer service is great.

We had a very particular need for furniture pieces, and James bent over backwards to help us find what we were looking for. Couldn’t be more pleased with the customer service.

The Dump was an awesome experience, specially working along with their kind and very helpful sales person Tim Truong who helped out throughout the furniture shopping. We found our bedroom furnitures, living room and dining room furnitures. All beautiful design with good price and good quality. Best place for good price and quality.

I worked with Rob and Nick to resolve my mattress issue and they were extremely helpful, understanding and professional. These two really do care about their customers and it showed. Sending a big thanks to The Dump for being proactive and reaching out to me.

Don’t buy here if you might possibly change your mind about your purchase. 1 day return policy and bad service who don’t care about you.

We hesitated to go to this place based on some poor Unilocal reviews. I have to say we were vey happy with our experience.
First the sales reps were very friendly but not pushy. They seem to have reps for particular areas of the store. So when our first rep greeted us and learned that the items we were looking for were not in his area, he walked us over to another rep and introduced my wife and I to him.
We were looking for two large cabinets that would fit next to our fireplace. Our rep showed us a couple of beautiful pieces that were older and had come in from India. We loved them but were concerned about how they would fit. He said not problem, check out our measurements when we got home and if they looked good he would hold them for us. But not to worry, if we did not like how they fit when they arrived they would take them back, no charge.
Anyway, they arrived and fit perfectly. We could not be happier and will be repeat customers for sure!

Way over priced furniture. Not worth the drive from Ft Worth! The staff was not a help at all. Do not waste your time with this place.

As a consumer, I have expectations regarding how a business relationship will exist. For example, when I wish to make a purchase, my expectations include
(1) to be able welcomed by helpful, courteous and knowledge sales staff,
(2) to find items similar to those advertised,
(3) that ‘sales’ are true discounts not the results of cuts from overinflated prices and
(4) that ethical not deceptive practices such as «bait and switch» are used.
Unfortunately, none of these expectations were even remotely met.
~ I was not greeted or helped despite walking past an abundance of salespeople.
~ 2, 3 & 4 are covered in detail by other reviewers. Suffice it to say that I had the same negative experiences.
I prefer to give only positive reviews but in this case, I just unable to find positives about The Dump.

Sales staff is great– however the execution of our order leaves much to be desired. Couch arrived damaged 2 weeks ago and we still have not been told whether or not it will be repaired or replaced. Getting a hold of them and customer service is impossible unless it’s a Friday or Saturday.

I am shocked at how terrible this situation has become. The customer service manager, Cynthia Anthony, has been calling my boyfriend and I non stop harassing us and bullying us to take down our review.
No one contacted us before this review to attempt to rectify our dilemma, and now they are pissed because we went to social media about it?
We have contacted police and filed a formal harassment complaint, this is disgusting. I’m telling you, non stop calls to me and my boyfriend calling us liars and threatening us. I am completely horrified.
Please do not ever shop here, and don’t let anyone you care about shop here either. Over $ 8,000 spent in 6 months, and not even a thank you.
