Long Island Swim-Pool Service

I know of LI swim-​pool for many years. Even though I don’t have a pool I use them for shrink wrapping my out door furniture for a few years and they do a really great job. The crew is always on time and do a very good and neat job! When I take off the shrink wrap in the spring there is not even i drop of water. Would recommend them to any one who needs the shrink done!

We have been using LI Swim-​Pool since they installed our pool 11 years ago. We have used them for opening, closing, liner replacements and an occasional repair. The service has always been top-​notch! The technicians are prompt, courteous and efficient. Prices are reasonable and work is always done neatly. We highly recommend them!

We needed a new pool liner this year. We got a late start and we called many different contractors to get it installed. The earliest we could get was July 8^th. I finally found Long Island Swim & they were available for July 3^rd. Perfect. When Barry asked me the size and manufacturer of our old above ground pool, he told me that I had purchased the wrong size. We had purchased a 16×24 oval liner online and he said Poseidon (no longer in business) never made that size. It must be 15×24. My husband was adamant that his measurements were right. My husband was so annoyed that he got a bit testy with Barry about it and went out & remeasured the pool. Even though my husband was borderline rude, Barry kept his cool and professionalism on the call. Well, turns out Barry knows his stuff. The pool was 15×24. It left us just enough time to order a replacement in time for the 7÷3÷14 install and we had the pool up and running for the 4^th of July. Made my son happy that’s for sure.
Had he not known his business, they would have come to install a liner that did not fit and what a mess that would have been. They were in and out of there in no time at all, the pool looks gorgeous. Not only that, but since we were now ordering the liner a bit later in the season, it was on sale and we saved $ 80 on it and returned the wrong size unopened costing is NO restocking fees.
All in all it was a great experience. I recommend Long Island Swim.

I have been using Long Island Swim-​Pool Service to open and close my pool for several years and have been very pleased with their service. They ensure the pool is clean and filter and pump are up and running. They have made repairs when needed. The workers are polite and eager to please. My pool is getting old and I have always been able to reach the owner when an emergency rises and he is extremely helpful. I have absolutely no complaints.

This is a jekyll and hyde business, as they did a fantastic job installing my swimming pool a few years ago. The person assigned to supervise was careful and professional, and everything came out quite nice. Every experience after this has been an exercise in frustration, as without the ‘boss’ in attendance, the work crews sent to service a swimming pool are a bunch of uninterested workers who seem to lack the skills to perform the (simple) jobs requested. On top of that, one might expect that swimming pool maintenance crews be able to work without breaking, manhandling, or damaging the expensive equipment their co-​workers installed the year before. Servicing a swimming pool heater is well described in the owner’s manual to the device, it is a bit more complicated than shutting off the gas valve, as they did and charged $ 35. The following season, the device, now filled with dirt and spider webs did not work, but nobody ever came back to finish the job. The owner had the nerve to argue with me about what the $ 35 (x2) charge was for. When the other worker grabbed a heavy pump by the small plastic handle, he told me it was broken. Come on, if I tried to lift your car by the radio antenna it would break off in 2 seconds. Is this a fault of the part, weakened by age (1 yr old). Anyway, if you want a new pool installed, they are pretty good as long as you keep the manager on the site at all times. Service like cleaning, opening and closing is available elsewhere at better prices and by men with some attention to detail.
