Yeah its payless. When I need some inexpensive shoes(bicycle riding shoes) I usually get my pairs here. I should start getting dress shoes here since i murder anything i get from macys in a month. Shoes are hella cheap here and can probably last a while if you take care of them. We live in NYC so shoes get hurt here really fast.

I know it’s typically not«cool» to review chain stores on Unilocal, but not all locations are the same, so I still think it’s helpful. New York City is full of trendy men and women who love to look fierce and hip, and who actually drop hundreds of dollars on shoes they wear twice. I am not part of that crowd. I feel very at home in Jackson Heights because it is an immigrant neighborhood. Granted I came over as a small child, so I’ve been here much longer than a lot of my neighbors. Nonetheless, I was raised by struggling parents for most of my life, so we always shopped for shoes at Payless. I feel at home here, its aisles are familiar, its brands and its colors remind me of my childhood. Moreover, I am not a «shoe» person. So when I need a new pair, Payless always helps me out. This store in particular is pretty large and very clean. They are always well-stocked, and they always have tons of staff on hand to help you out. And the employees here are just really so damn nice. As is usual with most Payless stores, they have a small fashion jewelry section, their purses line one of the wall, and they also sell random accessories such as scarves, sunglasses, gloves, and hats. To people who say their shoes are cheap and poorly made… well maybe they are. All I know is that the shoes I’ve bought at Payless have lasted me years. Of course, you aren’t going to find«high quality» material such as leather, but the only animal product I like to buy is cheese, so that’s fine with me. All in all, I think Payless is a great store for people who just want cute, inexpensive shoes that won’t break the bank. Today I bought two pairs of flats and a pair of sneakers for $ 65. If you pick Payless, pick this location!
