Comfortable place, decent beer selection, good food. Love the atmosphere, awesome merchandise. Loved the Santa Fe Chicken Egg Rolls! Place was nice and quiet on a Sunday night, the whole group loved the food, and we were able to talk without having to yell over music. Cooks and bartenders were very friendly, and no table service meant I got to order food and drink when I wanted without having to wait for a waiter.

Came in here today for a burger and some beers after a jaunt on Mount Monadnock. I like this place, a lot… Happy hour prices(I live in MA, a nanny state of the highest order so no happy hours), good atmosphere and stellar service. Had the BBQ Cheddar burger with tots and it was fantastic. Saw a few tables with wings and they also looked good. Kelly the barkeep was very nice and was on top of everything. When in this part of NH again, absolutely stopping back in.

We just moved to the area and were scouting for our new«spot» for game night(we don’t have cable). After driving by here on way to my cousin’s house I decided it was worth a shot– I love outside drinking(patio!) and I love dogs and beer so what’s there to loose? We came in a few days later and it happened to fall on a wing night. We ordered the Cajun and Honey BBQ flavors– I found them delicious; however the wings were a little crispy so I can understand how some people may not like that texture. The bartender was super friendly and she was very respectful and courteous. Beer selection isn’t as massive as a dedicated craft beer bar(nor do they claim to be) but it was just enough to satisfy everyone. A huge plus? They have a sitting area with two couches and a table. We asked one of the staff to put on the Bruin’s game on the TV in that corner and withing a minute he came over with the remote. So not only is the beer and wings good– the atmosphere is just like watching the game at home with a small party going on in the background. All in all, if you’re in the area it’s worth a drop by here for a quick pint and some basic food. No one is too busy for a quick pint, right? I thought so.

While in town we needed a quick lunch spot. Order the food at the front counter and they deliver to your table. Wings were good, burger not so much. Had the chicken tenders with sweet potato fries. Both were very tasty and for the price was so much food. Needed a doggy bag!

Great food, super cheap prices. My fav spot in the area. Be ready for it to be kinda noisy and busy on the weekend.

«worst sub evah»(Vallet Girl affectation) Chicken Parm sub: square little blocks of Tyson chicken with sauce(or ketchup, not exactly sure which). It was the kind of chicken that Wendy’s throws on their salad. New England Salad: «Meh»(my quote). Same Tyson chicken blocks served over lettuce in a black plastic take-out tray. When the order-taker(no waitstaff) asked if I wanted grilled or breaded chicken, I had high hopes. Opted for grilled. Thank GOD I didn’t opt for the breaded… I can only imagine a diced Weaver Chicken Rondelet would be the result. This was a mid-afternoon post-Monadnock quickie meal. Wasn’t looking for Capital Grille but man… this was SO disappointing. Beautiful state, nice people, but the food? Maybe we are spoiled in Providence but I haven’t found a place yet in NH that hasn’t been«meh». :-(

Stopped in here after playing a grueling round at the Shattuck up the road. I mean, let’s be honest, there are not a lot of options in Jaffrey for a burger and a beer. You can drive up 10 minutes to Peterborough for a couple more options, or another 30 minutes out to Keene, but as for the local area, not a whole lot to talk about. What you want to be aware of going in here(which we were not) is the ordering process. After we sat at a table near the bar for 5 minutes waiting for service, the barkeep, mercifully, came over to assist us. «Been here before?» he asked, obviously knowing the answer. He proceeded to explain how you order beers from the bar, and then go to a separate window about 5 feet away to place your food order. Ok. So, knowing what we wanted, I jumped over to the bar to order a couple beers. With it being late September, we opted for nice, light Pumpkinheads. Having placed the order, I walked a few steps to the food window. The same barkeep then followed me over there to ask what I’d like to eat. What a strange waste of time this all was. But in any event, the order was placed. One thing I was intrigued by was that instead of the cinnamon sugar rim, which has a tendency to melt all over the glass, they float the mixture on top of the draft. I was a little skeptical at first, but this seemed to work great — and no mess! I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap, which was serviceable. All in all, for what I was expecting, i think I was pretty satisfied. There were a few flies buzzing around which is always annoying. On the plus side, they do have a few coin op pool tables, darts, for entertainment. I’d never go o ut of my way to visit the Lab N’ Lager, but if I ever happen to be passing through Jaffrey, I’d stop back in again.

Great atmosphere. The food was good for the price and they had plenty of options. Pool tables weren’t crowded and there was ample seating. I wouldn’t hesitate to swing by and grab a beer or some pizza.

Great find for the best comfort food after a hike up Mt Monadnock. Totchos and wings with a fine selection of micro brews and outside seating. Will have to come back.

What a great place. The waitstaff and patrons were friendly. The wings outstanding. My husband had a burger that resulted in a second visit the next day. I had a salad at both visits and was pleasantly surprised by how good they both were. Fresh ingredients and delicious. What a great place to grab a bite before or after a NE10 baseball game at Franklin Pierce University.

We did take-out from here the other night. I had no idea what to expect so I wasn’t surprised to have to wade through the crowd to get my food. It’s a bar after all. We ordered buffalo wings, honey mustard wings and burgers. I’d give the wings a 5 star rating. They were big and full of flavor. The burgers were really good too. It’s not the kind of place I’d go to eat. I’m well past my bar days but I’ll be eating their wings again!

A wonderful pub menu, with daily specials. Fantastic wings, with many flavor options. 16 craft brews on tap. The Lab is a very friendly place, where you will immediately find yourself at home.

Went here today, after, big surprise, hiking Mt. Monadnock. The Patriots were on and happy hour beer specials were available. The beer selection is good and the prices are cheap even before an extra $ 1 off. Our group of four all ordered food and we couldn’t believe the price and portion sizes. And the food was very good. Obviously, it’s not health food or farm to fork BS but bar food. Décor is nothing fancy but it was clean so no problems there. I will definitely go back.

Bizarre layout inside. You order food one place and beer in the other window. Feels like someone’s basement Beer and food is good for what it is and staff seem friendly. I just wish it didn’t cater only to the young badly dressed junior college crowd. We can do better.

If you want wings… The Lab is the ONLY place to go! Sweet potato fries are to die for! I don’t get the«frat house» feel at all. I always find a mix of age groups, business profesionals to townies. I’ve been to both locations on many occasions and highly recommend a visit to anyone!

Someone else wrote that this place reminded them of a frat house. Excellent analogy. It did not occur to me when I was hanging out there, but it is really apt. You got your bar in the back, serving awesome selection of draft beers(Hop Nosh, yum, on tap! Just $ 4 for a frosty pint, and life is good again.) and playing sports. You got the front section with more TVs playing sports, some really comfy sofa-like thangs and lots of bar stools and high tables for eating or standing at. And a red-felt pool table on the other side with more TVs playing more sports. It’s the Frat experience you either never wanted but perhaps find a bit interesting, or the one you had and you miss it. So head on over to sleepy Jaffrey, N.H. It sort of reminded me of a ski bum bar you might find in Lake Tahoe(for the low rent crowd, I mean). But without the reggae, if you know what I mean. For a place called«Lab and Lager» what more is there to say? The lager is cheap and awesome, not sure what the«Lab» is about, but the food they serve is plenty and good enough for someone passing through town or just wanting something to soak up their brews in their tummies. Pizza we did not try, but the burgers were OK. They serve hot dogs, that is cool enough and super cheap, and the amount of fries they serve with everything is enough for three people easy! I had a BLT on rye, what do you want? My kids had some wraps, nothing special there but they stopped saying they were hungry, and I got to try some cold brews on a hot day. I mean, Jaffrey NH is such a nice spot, it doesn’t really matter whether the food is that great. After all, you want to go climb Monadnock or something, right?

I love the Lab in Keene and totally feel like it’s my go-to bar when we’re home visiting in NH… so I HAD to check out the new Lab N’ Lager in Jaffrey while we’re here. I really like it! It hasn’t been open for too long at all yet, so I’m sure small changes will be made as they grow and I think it’s going to end up being THE spot. Love that they have the outdoor patio that faces Main Street, and lots of space inside… even a room/portion of the dining area of the bar that you can rent out for parties of your choice. They have cool daily offers/specials and fun events(like a cornhole tournament!) and I saw that live music is coming soon too. Really feels very similar to my «home» lab n’ lager in Keene and the food and drinks are good! The great service and personable staff really make it a good place to chill out and relax. I really think this is a good place to have in Jaffrey and I think it will go far! Doni and Hilary hit another home run in my opinion!

Stopped in later at night for a few beers with friends. Their beers were cold and a decent selection. The mixed drinks were pretty weak. Tried an appetizer of fried pickles. Wish they had been pickle chips instead of spears but had a lovely spice to them. The layout of the restaurant is a bit confusing. The décor reminds me of a frat house. The prices seemed reasonable on the menu. Had a pretty decent crowd.

Intrigued by their outdoor patio, we opted to stop here for a quick lunch in between errands. The sign said food and spirits, so we were sold. Walking into the actual place, you don’t see any service immediately. The bar and service counter are in the back, so it was a bit confusing of a layout. The bar food was good, but a bit over priced. We certainly enjoyed sitting in the patio, but it isn’t so much a food place as it is a spirits.
