This is from what i gather a large college hangout spot. I expected a lot more trucks and red necks but this is a lot younger college crowd. Granted we did come for Karaōke which happens the last Thursday of the month. The sound was waaaay too loud for Karaōke. Trevor is great man’ing the bar despite some ridiculously rude customers. Good energy all around, we got the meat lovers pizza for a birthday party. The hamburger on it was, in a word, terrible but was only the true negative while we were there. $ 4 cheap vodka mixed drinks, happy hour prices and deals can’t be beat for this area.

I have been to this Lab ‘n Lager location a few times during my many visits to Keene, and I must say I’ve been impressed each time. In addition, each visit has seemingly been a different experience. I’ve been there to shoot some pool on a Thursday college night; to sit around on their lounge couches to get a burger and a beer; a more sit-down experience with a larger group to get dinner and(MANY) drinks; and a beautiful fall day sitting in their outdoor patio during Pumpkin Fest while sipping a nice fall beer. Food-wise, I’ve had their Cajun Black ‘n Bleu burger which was perfectly spiced with just the right amount of tangy bleu cheese, and tater tots which I am a huge fan of(anywhere!) when done correctly. At the bar, they had a pretty decent selection of beers on tap, and they all seemed to be nicely priced. Overall, a nice place to grab a drink when in Keene!

We like it, its one of our regular Friday or Saturday night spots. The beer selection is pretty good… the food is just ok, but hey, you don’t necessarily come for to eat.
