Whether you have cats, horses, birds, fish, and of course, dogs, you can have peace of mind knowing that your pets will be well taken care of by the professional pet sitters at Beyond Barks, LLC. So, feel free to work late or take that vacation without the guilt and worry of leaving your pets alone at home all day, or in a cage at a boarding kennel. Our service hours are 7 days a week including holidays. We offer service between the hours of 7 AM and 9 PM.

History

Established in 2009.

Beyond Barks was established in 2009 by Laura Fisher. In spring of 2012, the company was put up for sale while working for Beyond Barks as a staff member. I purchased the company in June of 2012. Beyond Barks services over 1000 clients currently and we are continuing to grow. We strive to provide outstanding pet care for our clients at an affordable price. At Beyond Barks, your pets happiness, health, safety, and overall well being is our main concern. We only hire professional dog walkers and pet sitters who have experience with animals and who have the knowledge, respect, and compassion to care for your pets as if they were their own. Our pet friendly staff is here to make your pets feel comfortable, safe, secure, and of course loved, while you are away.

Business Owner

I was born and raised in the scenic mountains of Western Maryland. As a teenager, I moved with my family to Frederick, MD where I met my husband. We have three beautiful children, four dogs (two Chihuahua’s, a German Shepherd, and a yellow Labrador Retriever), three cats, two birds and two turtles. Ever since I was a little girl I always dreamed of working with animals. When I had children I made the decision to be a stay at home mom. With my youngest child starting Kindergarten last fall I made the decision that it was time to jump back into the workplace. At first, I became a pet sitter with Beyond Barks and had so much fun getting to work with all different types of animals that it was an easy decision to purchase the company when it became available. I purchased Beyond Barks in the summer of 2012 and have not looked back since. I am involved in everything that happens at Beyond Barks on a daily basis.
