Description

Specialties

Latitude 31º, located on the Historic Wharf in the Landmark District of Jekyll Island offers the perfect setting to enjoy fresh seafood, delicious steaks, as well as our Chefs inventive daily specials. Outstanding food with seasonal menu selections, friendly service, and breathtaking sunsets are our hallmark.

History

Established in 1996.

Jekyll Island, a Georgia barrier island, is a truly unique place with a strong commitment to the environment and wildlife.

The Jekyll Island Club Hotel is just across the lush greenway from us. Members of the Jekyll Island Hotel have included some of the most iconic figures in American history such as Marshall Field, J. P. Morgan, Joseph Pulitzer, William Rockefeller, and William K. Vanderbilt. In 1910, Americas leading financiers gathered on Jekyll Island and the result was the birth of the Federal Reserve.

The beaches are lovely, broad, and lined with sea oats. You can stroll on the beach or on the sidewalk which runs along the beach. Driftwood beach, located on the north end of Jekyll Island is often listed as one of the most romantic beaches in the US. With a two mile long graveyard of driftwood trees that create stunning sculptures, it is a popular location for wedding ceremonies, photographers, and visitors.

I have been working for Latitude 31º & The ‘Rah’ Bar for over four years, and love the serene atmosphere and the food, of course. I never take for granted being able to work for such an unparalleled establishment.
