Come in for oil change but was recommended to did the transmission fluid replacement. on their price chart on the wall says the combo costs around $ 135 but they charged me $ 200 due to my car need ‘special’ transmission fluid. When i went home check with service department with my car dealer, but charge $ 89.95 for transmission fluid replacement. This place is ripe off. AVOID!!!

Can’t complain — living in Hoboken the options for an oil change are very limited, so we decided to check this place out as everywhere else seemed to be booked up. They got us in and out in about 25 minutes which was GREAT. The only bad part was they filled up our tires and on our way home we realized one side was at about 41PSI and the others at 29PSI so we had to stop at a gas station on the way home to correct that. Not ideal but also not the end of the world — If the service wasn’t so quick I would have been more upset about it, but I’ll deal with that any day to get a quick oil change!

They are fast, the price is right, and they are close to my home, but I am weary of the relentless upselling this place engages in. Like James P. (below), I, too, had to argue that black oil in itself is not a sign of «sludge» in my engine that would require an engine flush. (I rubbed the oil between my fingers myself, but felt no signs of grit or particles in the used oil, which would be danger sign.) Too many negatives. I’m not coming here any more.

I first asked for an oil change and I specified regular oil. Employee kept saying that my car needs synthetic oil — this has NOT happened to me in 8 years of getting oil changes. Eventually he check under the hood and said that I was correct — my car does not need synthetic oil.
Then he said that my engine would have problems if I did not get an engine flush — based on the color of the oil or something like that. It seems that most car manufactures never recommend engine flushes. He was very insistent that my car needed one — I declined.
I ended up getting an oil change, but did not like that they recommended an engine flush without a valid reason for doing so and that I had to argue over using conventional oil.

I brought my 4Runner yesterday to get a standard oil change and to have one of their mechanics take a look at a leak I had. Now let me be clear, I know nothing about types of auto fluids. When asked what kind of oil I’d like the mechanic quickly picked up on the dumb look I gave in return and began asking how much I drive, how many miles on the car etc. He gave me a solid suggestion and the reason for the suggestion… Sounds great, lets do that.
Then comes the leak. I need something to do with my transmission. I did my best to remember what was needed and then the mechanic mentioned a transmission expert down the block. Mind you this was done in about 30 minutes. I saw three other guys come in and go with simple oil changes in 10 – 15 and all were very happy.
I was very happy with my experience here and will continue to come back even though there is a place maybe a quarter mile from my residence. 5 stars

I needed an oil change, and because of my busy work and life schedule couldn’t schedule one at one of the major chains. Whenever I tried to go into Pep Boys, and asked «how long for an oil change», they’d tell me they couldn’t get to me for a few hours.
So I searched on Unilocal and found this place. Glad I did. When I went– on a Saturday afternoon, hardly off-​peak– I only had to wait about 10 – 15 minutes for them to start on my car. Then it took them maybe another 10 – 15 minutes to finish. So I was out in less than 30 minutes.
Got $ 5 off with a text message coupon.
I also appreciate that I was able to stand right there and watch as they serviced my car. At the major places like Pep Boys, I always had to stand far away behind glass, if I could look at all. And then those places fill up your oil using a pump thingie, so I could never be sure if they were really giving me full synthetic or just filling my car with conventional– you don’t know what’s coming out of there. At Flash Lube, I saw them pour the Mobil 1 synthetic oil directly from the 1 quart plastic containers into my car. So no doubt about what I was getting. (I could even choose which brand of oil I wanted– I’ve never been offered that anywhere else.) I also watched as they checked and filled my tire pressure, greased my door hinges, and did the rest of the free service things that come with an oil change. And the price wasn’t any higher than I’d be paying anywhere else. They were also nice about everything.
This is where I’m coming back for oil changes. Happy I found Flash Lube.

I usually come during the weekday and there is never a wait. I signed up to be a VIP [Text «FlashLube» to 55 678] and receive $ 5 off your oil change. If you are getting more work done, check in through Unilocal and receive 5% off. The two are not combinable. The employees are always friendly and always tell me if my car needs work done. Being a girl, I always expect car servicing places to push things I don’t need so they can make the extra sale but this place is not like that at all. Went there today to get an oil change and the guy told me that I should get my cabin filter changed and possibly air filter by the next time I go in. This isn’t a super fancy car servicing place, they are known for their fast oil changes. Small waiting area with two TVs that play whatever the receptionist puts on. I’m usually done within 15 minutes for an oil change.

I needed an emergency oil change while I was on my way to Hoboken. This place was EXTREMELY quick and efficient. The man who was in charge explained to me that I had another problem that I should get checked out, if not by him then by my regular mechanic. The two girls at the front desk were very friendly. Overall, a nice experience when I wasn’t expecting it!

This is my go to for an oil change, they are quick, easy and pretty decently priced. There is no reason to pay full price here, you can text, get a card, send a smoke signal to get a $ 5 coupon and they will tell you about it.
I am usually in and out in 20 minutes, if that. Last time I went they said my brakes were shot, they even showed me to show me they weren’t trying to fleece me. They were indeed dangerously low. I got new front brakes right there in about an hour for about $ 140. Not bad, you’d pay twice that at Pep Boys and it would take 4 hours.
Even if you say no to what they are suggesting needs replacing, they just shrug it off and say «ok» no stupid forcing you tactics, just ok, that’s cool, I respect that.
Good place, cheap, and better than any dealership out there.

Great service, the staff was very friendly and got my basic car services done in a timely fashion.
Per usual, they checked out the car for other things I would need done. I gave into a couple bringing my total spending to more than I expected but they weren’t pushy about it so I didn’t mind as much.
Overall, will return again when I need something for my car!

Great place… went there for oil change and power steering flush. there wasn’t even much of a wait. Not pushy at all and I was out of there in about thirty minutes. They have a waiting area as well. This will be my go to spot!

This is one of THE best spots to get an oil change in the area. Everyone is super courteous and very fast. They do try to up sell a little bit are not pushy about. I’ve been to too many shops in my life where they’re going for the hard sell on a transmission flush. DONT DO IT FOLKS! Anywho… This is one my go to no other options spots and I highly recommend you take your whip here. You will leave pleased.

I was referred by a friend to go to Flash Lube for an oil change. I was so used to going to the dealership which was pretty far so I gave this place a try and I am completely satisfied. I was provided with prompt and courteous customer service. They inspected my car thoroughly and the staff was just great. I was so satisfied that I have referred friends and family here and they are satisfied as well. I was not there for such a long time and the facility itself was very clean.

Everyone was very friendly, open an inviting. There was a clean place to sit with TV and coffee which was nice. They were quick on Saturday and on the receipt it detailed everything done on the oil change. The price wasn’t bad at all– plus you get $ 5 off if you just send a text message while you are waiting. They went so far as to take off my wheel and show me that my back brakes needed changed– the only reason they get 4 stars is their high estimate for 2 rotors/​pads ($ 320) for an older Nissan. I may shop around on a better price for this but I would be open to taking my car back for the brakes and definitely for smaller jobs like oil changes. Great place and right in the heights!

Professional, don’t try to sell you others services, and fast.
I came with my wife, did both cars in like 30 min.
