Hudson Eye Physicians and Surgeons, LLC, is a private, multi-​specialty group ophthalmology practice. We have two offices. Our main office is in Jersey City, New Jersey about ½ block from the Journal Square Path Station. Our second location is in downtown Millburn, New Jersey. All of our physicians are board certified and our practice is fully electronic and paperless. We have onsite Optical Dispensaries in both locations and a State-​of-​the-​Art Ambulatory Surgical Center in our Jersey City Building.

I have never been treated so poorly from an office. I go to the office in Millburn. The receptionist are rude and uncaring. I have been going to the office for 10 years and had an issue with the changing of my insurance to Cobra. The girl behind the desk said your insurance is «no good» and this needs to be a full pay.
I got on the phone with the insurance company who said they didn;t receive the paper work but the office could delay the billing until tomorrow. She refused and said the dr. said we had to pay in full. I think after 10 years to treat someone like this is unacceptable.
I will never return to Hudson Eye.

Dr. Constad is wonderful. His staff is incompetent. It takes a minimum of 6 phone calls over the course of more than a week to order contacts.

The receptionists need some training on how to treat the patients and not yell at them. I had an appointment but still was made to wait for more than an hour. On top of it when I pointed out they were letting people who came after me inside, the receptionist had the nerve to yell at me and was seen flirting with a medical representative to avoid my questions. This place is losing its name due to such arrogant, ignorant and trashy folks who control appointments and think they run the place! Dr. Constad didn’t diagnose the sty which was bothering my right eye. So I took another appointment with Dr. Pruzon who is very receptive of patients symptoms and prescribing appropriate medicine. She’s very nice. Long wait times and irresponsible receptionists. Not worth the wait!

I woke up in the middle of the night concerned because there were clear bubbles on the inside of my eyelid. I called the location the following day and they were able to squeeze me in which was great. They set me up with Dr. Constand who is a cornea specialist. I was advised by the doctor that I had giant papillary conjunctivitis and was immediately placed on eye drops. What was strange was that I had just visited am optometrist a few days prior and they did not make note of it. Also, what I had in my eye did not look like GPC images online. I went back to my optometrist and he advised that I had lymphatic cysts and that it was not GPC. Furthermore, he advised that GPC is supposed to be on the upper eyelid. I’m not sure why I was diagnosed incorrectly by Dr. Constand and would advise to do your research.

I came to these doctors because of an emergency as my regular eye doctor didn’t care or have time for me as his practice was booming. Call them here and got a same day appointment for my scratched eye. Came in, saw the doc and everything was good and have been coming back since. They treat you right, talks to you not down at you. They take care of you.

This office is still top notch. When I need to reorder my lenses it ‘s one call to the office manager and they arrive in the mail within a week.
