Big Cat Cabin

What to say first. There are so many beautiful things I can say. Chuck and Nan are my second parents. I just love them. We are regulars to their B&B. My husband and I come beginning of year and end of summer. I came from a small town in Norcal so coming here is like coming home to my family. They have put so much love, heart and soul into their homes, it’s just beautiful. I love that nature is brought in to the cabins. The area is so quiet and peaceful. Just what a person needs to get away from the city. My husband has a taxing job so this is the best place to get away and decompress. Your always greeted with a smile and a hug. Calming music to your heart and pure serenity. I’ve never experienced anything like it. Jeremy’s on the hill is our favorite place for a nice evening out. There are many places to go hiking which we love. I absolutely love to watch the sun set on the back porch with a cocktail in hand. the views are so beautiful. We go from Sunday-​Wednesday to avoid the weekend crowds in town and it’s perfect. It’s just a short trip away from Orange County. I would definitely recommend these cabins to anyone looking for peace and quiet or even to rekindle your love for one another. Also I’m a huge cat lover and Nan is the best mom ever to all her kitties. I love it!!! Thanks Chuck and Nan for sharing your world with all of us. Wow so if I could I would write a full paper on how amazing this place is!
Starting with the owners Chuck is a great guy and wonderful to talk with, when you arrive they have soothing music playing softly and even leave you a loaf of homemade bread, which is delicious.
The cabin itself is very old but exquisitely well maintained and is even furbished with antics, but also has full accommodations with a shower and full bathtub, the fireplace is beautiful, the interior is squeaky clean displaying the kind of care that only years of love and affection can provide, the bed and couch are so comfy, and the best part is how quiet and peaceful it is which makes for a perfect get away from the city without having to make a long drive.
This is the perfect place for a romantic getaway or a stay near Julian for hiking and pie.

How cool is this place? I joined Unilocal just so I could review them! My wife found this place online and I’m so glad that she did. The owners are a really cool couple who love their cabins and gave us great tips on where to eat in Julian. The Big Cat Cabin is great, nearly 100 years old, and one of the most peaceful and restful places we have ever vacationed. It has a great view, a great porch, great furniture, and a great little kitchen. There is a stereo so we plugged in the Ipod and relaxed. I wish we could live in that cabin. It was that great.
