Three private, unique cabin rentals in the Pine Hills area of Julian, California. The cabins have full kitchens, Cal-​king beds, private bath facilities, and views from the peaks to the ocean. Peace and quiet of nature is our specialty. We do not accept users of tobacco or tobacco products, including e-​devices. Our cabins are perfect for couples seeking a private retreat.

History

Established in 1986.

The original owners of the business operated as a full Bed and Breakfast for three years. We purchased the property in 1989 and continued the operation until the great fire of 2003. We re-​opened in 2005 with two of the original cabins and a brand new main cabin, The new Artists’ Loft. At that time we stopped the full service breakfast and initiated the «do it yourself» breakfast to give even greater privacy and command of your time. Recovery of the forest after the fire is ongoing, many can’t find the scars, and is always inspiring. We maintain our original high standards and have become strict stewards of the nature around us … please join us if you have similar feelings.

Meet the Business Owner

Chuck ‘n Nan K.

Business Owner

Chuck and Nan came from a background of science, engineering, architecture, design, advertising, and photography to this «retirement» occupation about 25 years ago. We have maintained an interest in both the arts and sciences and have an active role in the Julian Medical Foundation as directors of the new clinic project. Restoring the environment after the fire of 2003 has been a major and ongoing project for Nan, and the results are very rewarding. Most of the big scars have healed, trees and flowers and wildlife have returned, and the peace of nature has settled in.
