Pizza was good and the salad is amazing. The sauce is pretty loaded with herbs and has a little spice to it. I liked it, my wife wasn’t a fan. Quick and friendly service. We ordered at 1730 on a Thursday evening and it was ready in 10 minutes.

We got the meat lovers with black olives. MMMM great pizza. It served four with a little left. We will definitely eat here again. The restaurant is a little hard to find. It is located behind«Oceans» bar. In the same building as a small bakery.

This place iz INSANELY good. I can’t find pizza this good at home. They only have one size…16 or 18 inches… approx., or by the slice(waste of time… you’ll just buy more). But fer real, yer gunna wanna eat the whole thing! It’s a thin crust… the best kind… and they treat it rite. The spinning of the dough, the rite amount of sauce, and enuff of whatever kind ‘o’ toppings you want. Then a dusting of their herb mixture to finish it off. Of the 2 weeks I wuz there, I had one for dessert about 5 times. You heard me… a whole pie for dessert. It’s THAT good. When I die, pleeze bury me with one of these WICKED pizzas… triple pep pleeze.

So far for us, this is the best pizza in the state… at least on The Big Island and O’ahu. Hawaii generally has lousy pizza. Pizza enthusiasts like my wife and are always disappointed here with the weak options. Get Sum Pizza is so far the best we’ve had in Hawaii. If this were the mainland or Europe I would give it 3.5 or 4 stars. Here on the islands it’s clearly a 5. Think proper, thinish crust, wood-fired(without being wood-fired) savory pizza. Good toppings, not the generic stuff. Cooked well. Very good, savory sauce. Someone earlier complained that it was too herbal… nonsense! The sauce was wonderful. Weak link… the crust was a bit tasteless. Good texture though! At least it wasn’t the overly bready, generic crust you so often see here. Service guy was fine if a bit quirky. We would definitely return if on our next trip to TBI.

Ate here our last night on the island. Big slices of pizza! Tasty toppings and really attentive staff. Highly recommended.

Ok, I’ve had a slice of pizza here and it wasn’t bad, but the other night, we got the Greek Goddess pizza and oh man. We could barely eat it. There were too many flavors going on, that it was hard to decipher what exactly I was eating. Ingredients were not spread out evenly, so my first slice had a ton of the garlic pieces, whereas other slices had none. The crust is nothing to write home about either. I rarely have a bad things to say about pizza. I mean. it’s pizza! Maybe it was just the Greek Goddess one and others are better? I don’t know, and don’t care much to try it out.

Awesome pizza… whole pie or just a slice! Gotta try the loaded veggie, it’s definitely got to be the best veggie that I’ve had anywhere! Went back a second time and it was just as good as the first.

Hard to find but great food. We split a large pizza and were both stuffed. The pizza came out piping hot and was loaded with toppings. It definitely required a fork and knife since the crust is pretty floppy. The service was quick and the atmosphere was pretty chill. This was a great stop after a day of diving.

My husband and i stumbled onto this place after a night of dancing and loved it! Their pizza is the perfect way to fill your booze filled belly at 1:30 am. I had a peanut butter cookie that was pretty fab, so much so, that my husbands friend ate a chunk i dropped on the ground. Taste approved!

Awful pizza(ordered a vegan loaded veggie; not vegan and probably a total of 10 veggies on the whole pizza), awful service(cashier was spacy, abrasive, short and sassy), and overpriced(the lit, snotty cashier wanted another $ 6 on top of a $ 25 large to correct his mistake of making a shitty dairy cheese veggie pizza)… you can only get non dairy cheese with a large so we ordered that and got a pathetic dairy mess. Would never go there again and did not appreciate the attitude on the phone when I called to query about correcting our order. It’s not a difficult order and we were overly polite even when disrespected and left wanting what we paid for…

The pizza was ok(definitely better than longboard legends) But the one thing that bothered me was when my friend ordered a salad they were not using organic spinach I know cause I seen the bag which was purchased from Costco and the person making the salad was taking the spinach straight from the bag to plate !!! That specific spinach is not triple washed nor washed at all… That’s a problem! They also claim that there salads are 100% organic … Maybe they ran out of organic spinach and if so tell the customers about it !!! ANDWASHYOURPRODUCE!

Love the GF pizza!!! Not cheap, but worth it(add $ 8 for GF). We chose mushrooms, garlic, meatballs, pepperoni and spinach as toppings and the crust is made with local ulu. I’ve also eaten the GF bagels sandwiches and cookies and all delish!

Always keep it simple when trying new pizza places… their cheese pizza slices are delicious, full of flavor with great crust and a kick of oregano. Comes out hot so the only down side is you have to wait or you’ll burn yo self;) totally worth the wait!!!

Stellar feking pizza. Fresh ingredients. The crust is tasty and crispy but also soft and not heavy; it almost feels healthy. Guys working the night we went were very nice and absolutely helpful. Look forward to coming back many of times.

We were officially sick of burgers and bar food and we already had some pretty bad pizza on the Big Island. We weren’t too sure if we wanted to try again. I’m glad we did. We come in on a very quiet afternoon looking for pizza and beer. Sadly the don’t serve beer but the helpful guy behind the counter directed me the ABC shop across the lot and I was able to get some cold local brews. We ordered a nice salad to share. Balsamic vinaigrette dressing had good flavor and tasted fresh. The pizza arrived and I was not disappointed in the least. Their crust was very tasty and had a slight char from a good and hot oven. Not a ton of cheese but it balanced well with the sauce and seasonings. They also have a bakery area that was selling breads. They looked fantastic… wish we had another day on the island and I would have come down for breakfast.

Great pizza! We went in for a vegan pizza and it did not disappoint. It’s not on the menu, you have to ask for the upgrade to vegan cheese. Ours had tons of veggies, all delicious. The crust was perfectly crispy, hand made. We got the regular crust, but we heard about the gluten free one, that one is for next time. We paid $ 32 for a loaded vegan pizza, which included the $ 6 vegan upgrade. Worth every penny. The finishing touch is that you can get vegan and gluten free desserts and kombucha at the same place since they share a space with Evolution. All around a great date night, great for families, great for plant based people

Disappointing. Crust was trying to be artisan, I think. Not really sure. But whatever it was trying to accomplish it didn’t. A bit soggy and flimsy at the tips. Also the red sauce had to many herbs. I like a sauce that is flavorful but not one that you’re actually able to name the herbs that you’re eating. Needs more subtly. On the +plus– fast and friendly. Happy to support local business!

Craving some pizza after a night dive and this was one of the few places open in the area. Atmosphere: Hidden behind Oceans bar but near all the good bars. Also bakery in the same building. Service: Good, ordered to go waited 20 minutes. Food: Ordered mediterranean goddess, meat lover’s and mushroom/sausage. The pizza was good but definitely not the best I’ve ever had. The pizza is think crust and you can really appreciate the toppings on your pizza. Prices are reasonable for the size, roughly $ 20 a pie. Intangibles: Location a bit inconvenient. Having a bakery in your pizza shop is pretty cool. You can grab breakfast pastries/dessert and pizza all at the same time. Who can beat that? I would come here again for the pizza if I was in the area.

Amazing simple pizza at a good value/price. Whole or by the slice. Veggie is off-the-chain! But that Pep & Cheese ain’t not lie either! Plus the house pies! Chill vibe & negative free zone yall. Real deal good vibes & good food. +‘s= *$ 3/$ 4 slices *fast good food in the midst of busy Kona *staff is chill *shared space w/a bomb bakery lol -‘s= *not a true«sit down» spot, mostly 2-go Located in a random corner of Coconut Grove just above Oceans sports bar. A few tables for seating.

Early morning this place masquerades as a bagel joint & bakery called Evolutions — and it does it excellently. My breakfast bagel with egg and Canadian bacon, eh — was killer. They serve it as two halves so I was able to eat one half there and one half at home for lunch. Garnish of fruits and a date square make it a cute breakfast. After 12:00 they become a pizza joint. I had a pepperoni slice a couple of days ago and cheese slice today. Both were really good. Be sure to add tabasco, chilis and mozzerella cheese to make it real good.(a shake of cane sugar added to the mix — tips it to insane) This is a good snacking spot for casual quick noshes where the service is friendly. g
