They should be a little bit more helpful when it comes to products that they don’t deal with but are part of Apple. Even though there’s nothing they can do they can help people take the right steps to fixing or contacting Apple. Being as there is no Apple store on the island they should represent a little better.

I’ve been using Apple Computers since the Lisa in 1984. I’ve lived on the Big Island since 1991. Mac Made Easy is the only place I’d go for service and repairs for my Apple devices. I’ve tried several others over the year but none have equaled MME’s. Bailey, Jill and Evan are top notch at their jobs. Especially Bailey the repair guy that goes the extra mile to be sure every detail is completely covered.
If you need Apple sales, service or repairs in Kona do not waste your time with the other, safe way companies. Go to Mac Made Easy.

Had my iPad lock me out while on vacation, called the lady Jill I believe her name was she was honest, and forthrite. They took my iPad in restored it and got it back to me in a flash. They could of easily charged me three or four times what I paid 20.00. It is hard to find folks that are honest so when you do they are keepers.

I used to go here but last year (or maybe longer) they got a new surly crew in there and I now call it «Mac Made Hard.» It’s probaby a great place to go if you’re under 30, but if not they throw around computer lingo and look at you like you’re stupid while they fiddle with their iPhones. I was stunned at how sullen they were. I won’t go back there. Too bad, because I loved the other guys.

Took my unresponsive MacBook (out of warrenty) to be assess, paid the «check in fee» of $ 60.00 plus tax. They could not find issue after they charged it with their cables. Took it home and it would not start. Long story short they never did diagnose the problem despite several (4 – 5, I forget) returns to them. They just kinda lost interest. Plus got that «oh crap» looks on their faces when a middle-​aged woman walked thru the door. I never got unpleasant nor impatient with them, despite the fact (which they knew) it is 2.5 hour round trip for me to get to them, and I did by a remote keyboard from them so I could use my ipad while this was all going on. So they didn’t loose.
Finally got on phone with Applecare and got «check in fee» waived at other Mac affiliated store in town. They dx’d problem within 24 hours (logic board) and they got a fairly hefty repair payment. So far, all is good with that repair. So the Mac Made Easy folks were neither interested (or maybe not competent?) in really finding the problem, and I wasted hours of driving time and weeks of not having a functioning computer.

Wow, I had a issue with my lap top while on vacation and this place fix my issue in less than 24hrs. Amazing customer service from a very friendly staff that understood, isolated my issue and fixed it when I needed my system back in a hurry.
Should you be in need of cable’s, cases or a new used system they have it.
I highly recommend using them if your in need of help.

Only the left channel was working on my iPhone five. I called Apple, and they couldn’t help me. I took it into these folks, and they quickly found the balance control was all the way to the left. They fixed it for me in a few minutes, and didn’t charge me a dime. Great people!

Just took my MacBook Pro in to get fixed. They fixed it in less than a day! This is the ONLY place I will bring my Apple products in Kona. They have helped me with many issues I have had and always go above and beyond to make sure I am happy. They are friendly, fast and very helpful!

This is the place to go… So happy they’re here in Kona. Service is the super best you can get any where, always friendly, greets you with a smile and to top it off they know their business. If you have an apple product that isn’t working right, take it to «mac made easy» Evan along with his assistant do a great job… if it’s something small to fix in front of you, there won’t be a charge. Try them out, my hats off to them for a job well done all the time.

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RETURN POLICY
Unlike a real Apple store where you can return your purchase within the first 2 weeks for a full refund, this store wouldn’t even give me a replacement Macbook when the new one I bought turned out to be a lemon.
Within the first week of owning my Macbook Air it was crashing constantly. The store wouldn’t give me a new one as replacement, but instead wanted me to turn the Macbook in to them for them to repair, which could have taken a week or so for them to finish. Eventually the store decided to exchange it for me after Apple contacted them multiple times, asking them to exchange it for me.

Where do I began…
I am so happy that my friend’s told me about his place and literally took me here for my MacBook Pro issues although I was so hesitant. Honestly, I didn’t want to even bother coming here because I thought I was going to get charged far more than I could afford.
I’m from California and prior to coming here I went to an Apple store and they informed me of all the repairs needed and the costs. Long story short, Mac Made Easy had the friendliest and most positive service I have ever received at any store and I went from doubtful to hopeful quickly. (Thanks Evan!)
They covered my battery replacement costs although it was a month past warranty. I didn’t even know there was a 3 year battery warranty. Apple didn’t even tell me about that!.. Of course.
Mac Made Easy also reseated my trackpad for FREE! It had started to lift because of the swelling of the battery, but they fixed that no problem as well.
I guarantee you won’t be disappointed if you come here.

If your on the Kona side of the Big Island (they also have a location in Hilo), this the place to go to pick up ur Apple hardware, software and accessories. While visiting the island I needed to get a new Apple AirPort Extreme WiFi router for my Mom’s place. I went by and was quickly greeted by a helpful employee who quickly and politely showed me the routers and explained the differences. He asked about my set up and offered some sage advice. Been all over the island and you know that sometimes customer service is nonexistent. Well good news the folks here know how to treat a customer.
Also noticed they had a full array if Macs, iPods, but no iPhones. But they do have iPhone cables, cases and screen protectors.

This is a gem of a find for anyone looking for an Apple product on the Big Island’s Kona side! Think of it like going to your nearest Apple Store, but even better because you’re supporting a locally-​owned business with a longtime commitment (since 1992) to service Hawaii’s Apple/​Mac/​iOS community
There is plentiful parking just outside the store’s front doors. The customer service is always friendly when I come here and I’ve only actually bought something once. It’s never been busy here when I come, unlike the Apple Store, so you can feel free to take as long as you want to browse because you won’t be competing with other customers.
It’s an enjoyable experience to come here.
