This a great massage place that is very clean and easy to schedule. The online scheduling is what really sold me on the place as you can see openings for particular therapists and book it all from your couch.
The rooms are very clean and have some nice Hawaiian music playing in the background. They must keep a file on Clients as I was asked to fill out a health questionnaire during one of my first visits but nothing during subsequent visits.
They have interns, advanced interns, and LMT’s (licensed massage therapists) to choose from with price for one hour at 35÷45÷65 respectively. The LMT’s are a known entity and you will definitely get a good massage at the $ 65 level. For the interns (and probably less so for advanced interns), it is hit or miss. I have had massages from the interns where it felt like it was the first massage that the therapist was ever giving and then some that would rival any experienced masseuse at a 5 star hotel. Regardless, if you get a subpar massage from an intern, it was only $ 35 so just turn around a book an appointment with a different therapist!
This is my go-​to massage place on the Windward side.

At a special event, representatives of the Hawaii Healing Arts College came down to give us some free massages. Prior to my experience I had a serious knot in my back that was giving me some stressful discomfort. After being massaged by Carol, I was able to rotate my shoulder blades in a full circle without being in any pain!
Not only was the massage extremely comforting and relaxing, Carols attention to making sure every pressure was not too much to discomfort! I will be calling on the College muh more often for my back pain troubles.

Had the pleasure of getting massages done by Miles and Leah at the AUW Women’s United Fundraiser event and it was amaze balls!!!
I was feeling things I didn’t know were wrong about me, experiencing different techniques I didn’t know existed — needless to say, I was feeling some type of way!
My neck, shoulders, and head felt so clear and loose after a session with them. Just one session!
I’m totally making my husband book an appointment with them!

I learned about Hawaii Healing Arts College & Massage Professionals from my co-​worker. The area that we work – Uluniu Street – is teeming with medical offices, massage places, etc. Gotta love it. I’m all about convenience, and while I have my favorite guy in town, I decided to try HHAC since it is just across the street and a great option to help work out the kinks after work.
There are 3 options for massage services: intern ($ 35), advanced intern ($ 45), and licensed massage therapist ($ 65 – there’s a $ 10 off Unilocal check in discount for this). I initially booked an appointment for next week online, but was advised to call to see if they had any earlier opening. Score! They had a same-​day LMT appt. for my co-​worker, and a next-​day Intern appt. for me.
The clinic/​college site is nicely appointed at a level higher than I’d expect for a school, even it if is maze-​like. I was surprised how big it is. The décor is modern/​tropical and relaxing, and each of the rooms has a Hawaiian name, which I thought was a nice touch. Because of the maze-​like configuration, I was glad for the numerous signs that directed me to the massage clinic (both from the outside and from the treatment room back to the reception area).
The service room I was in was very nice. Quiet, carpeted (shoes are left just outside), and relaxing. I especially liked the nice soft flannel sheets (and heated massage table). Very cozy. My therapist, was very attentive, and gave me a great massage – better than some other fully licensed massages that I’ve had (and reviewed) elsewhere. She also gave me some information about «tight fascia» that nobody have ever told me before and I’ll be doing more research on that.
I booked another appointment before I left HHAC, to take advantage of a special discount they are offering for the newest intern co-​hort which started in a couple of weeks. I heard about it from their newsletter, so I’ll get another round of pampering even sooner and more affordably than planned! I may eventually try out an Advanced Intern or LMT, but I am more than enough with the Intern massage that I had!

Great two hour massage from Bryce. For only $ 90 he was able to take care of all my aches more than any other intern or professional has these past six months. It was nice I actually for the first time made conversation and it was nice to talk about our future plans. Really nice clean place well taken care of from beginning to end

Craig is the man! Talk about a 5 star massage… I felt like I was issued a new pair of legs. Incredible! I was pleased to have the option of a licensed massage therapist for 2 hours. My sister had a 2 hour massage from a licensed professIonal as well. The time, and money were well spent. I’m from Las Vegas, and am thrilled to say the people here are friendly, rooms are clean, therapists are knowledgeable, and we felt better immediately… even better the next day. Allow me to first say that there are many great massage therapists here, many of whom contributed greatly to both my opinion and instruction in massage. However, as a student I was greatly disappointed at the end of my tenure.
I studied at HHAC a few years back as a ‘change of pace’ compared to what I did in the past. Everything was wonderful in the beginning; great teachers, great material, top notch learning experience. However, a situation arose that would not only change my outlook with regards to this institution as a school.
Approximately ¾ of the way into my training, I inquired if it would be possible to finish my required clinical hours at an accelerated pace, along with decreasing the amount of days I worked in the clinic while increasing the number of shifts on the days I did work, which would give me more free time to study for my classes and approaching final exam. I was granted this request and finished my required 150 hours/​massages approximately 4 – 6 weeks before graduation. During this time, I was notified by the administration that my government institute providing my financial benefits had come under review, and that it was possible I was not following the guidelines. They told me not to worry and that they would take care of it.
Approximately 2 weeks from graduation, I was informed by another student (who was using the same type of financial benefit as I was) that she had been informed by the administration that we were in violation of weekly hourly requirements, and that it was possible we were being overpaid our monthly allowances due to this hourly deficit. I approached the administration and asked them about what I had heard, and they simply brushed it off and told me that the individual I spoke to had no idea what they were talking about, and that I had nothing to worry about. When I informed the administration that I was never initially informed of these hourly requirements during registration and when I requested to accelerate my clinic massage requirement, they told me not to worry about it.
Several weeks after graduation, I received a letter in the mail from the institute providing me financial benefits, and I was informed that I had, in fact, received excessive benefits, and that I would have to pay the institution back approximately $ 6,000. I attempted to contact the school administration to rectify the problem by either working it out with the financial benefit provider, or to reimburse me if I had to pay this money back, due to the fact that I had been given approval by the school to accelerate my clinical massage hour requirements. After numerous attempts to call and no call backs, I was finally informed by the administration that I would need to contact the financial benefit provider and work it out, and that the owner of Hawaii Healing Arts College would not reimburse me in the event that I had to pay the benefit provider back, as this money was not associated with the tuition fees collected by the school at the time of my initial application. When I requested that they provide me with a document proving that they had approved my accelerated clinical hours, they agreed but refused to answer or return my calls from that day forth.
In the end, I was forced to pay back $ 6000 and received no assistance in dealing or rectifying the issue by either the administration or owner of Hawaii Healing Arts College. This was a highly disappointing situation, one that made me not pursue a career in massage therapy, as I did not want to be involved in a profession that potentially treated those in the massage community the way they treat their students.

Been going here off and on for the past few years. The staff is always very nice and professional. Thank you Samantha for one of the best massages I’ve ever had. She really knows her stuff and got my kinks out.

Can’t say I have ever written two Unilocal reviews for the same business but after today’s massage I feel I must. These therapists just keep raising the bar. My wife and I both had two hour sessions today. She said her therapist Erina was awesome, and I have to say that Jiyana, who i had, was nothing short of amazing. She asked what level of pressure I wanted and stuck to it– the entire two hours! She never let up. She knows all the points in the muscles and knows exactly how to work out the knots. After today, I honestly feel like I have a new back (and my back is jacked), not to mention how she helped my shoulder. Her hands were strong and yet so fluid, gentle and intuitive. Highly, highly recommend Jiyana if she is available. This is not to downplay the other great massages I’ve had from this school. Today was my sixth massage here (my second two hour session, during which they take a mandatory school imposed 15 minute break between hours), and 5 out of the 6 (all different therapists) were very good to great. My wife has the exact same ratio with 6 six different therapists. You simply cannot beat the value of this college for the professionalism and the rooms and the skills of the therapists, including the interns (you can opt for advanced therapists and LMTs, which are nominally more). Sure, they are getting the practice hours they need, but you could pay twice as much and not get nearly as good a massage.

Went to the grand opening at the Mililani Shopping Center branch. They were courteous and asked if i was feeling any pain. I asked for my shoulder blade area and lowrr back since I do a lot of typing. The massage was great and relaxing. I fell asleep halfway through. Great massage and great people.

My husband and I have been coming to the Kailua location for over 2 years and today we had appointments at the NEW Mililani location.
Since we live on the west side I was delighted to find out the Hawaii Healing Arts now has a location in Mililani across from Ross.
We experienced the same friendly, knowledgeable staff. The rooms were clean and inviting. My massage technician was Kristy. She is licensed and was wonderful. She asked what areas I had been having trouble with and paid special attention to those areas. Her pressure was spot on when it needed to be. I highly recommend her.
My husband said Rita was the best masseuse he has ever had a massage from. He would go back to her in a heartbeat.

I booked a two hour massage online and used my Unilocal!coupon when I checked in. From walking into reception to leaving, this was an excellent visit. I had Thiana as my therapist. She must be close to the end of her internship because her skills are great. Excellent communication from start to finish, perfect pressure throughout, and able to adjust well to sensitive spots.
She had really great draping techniques, even better than my regular massage therapist and the pricey resort ones.
Overall, a great experience that I would recommend to anyone.

I just had the most incredible massage by Samantha. She is a licensed therapist and is worth the extra cost over the intern price.
It was like she could read my mind and hit all of my trouble spots and her pressure and technic was spot on.
Samantha was so amazing that though I’m on vacation for two weeks I’ve already booked two more appointments with her!!!

I found my time relaxing and I left feeling refreshed. I enjoyed the heated massage tables and the private room. I felt my intern listened to me and my needs. She concentrated more on one area than others to help soothe my pain.
The $ 5.00 coupon was a nice bonus that I used.

I regularly get massages and this was among the biggest disappointments. I thought having a male would be a bonus — NOT! I did not feel like I had a massage when I left.
I had intern Kaimani. For starters he had a head cold. Last time I had a massage therapist give me a massage that that had a head cold, I got sick. He had a wet cough at one point and had to stop to wipe his nose or spit or whatever. I understand that’s a normal bodily function, but IMO I don’t think you should COME TO WORK SICK even if you feel well when you’re touching people.
I don’t understand why they wipe your feet with a cold wash cloth at the beginning and end. If you’re going to wash a body part, use WARM or HOT water.
Kaimani needs to learn technique. I told him I had pain in my glutes and put my hand exactly where it is (right at the top of the leg). He tried to work the area with the sheet on top but I didn’t realize that was going to be the only attempt at working that area.
He wrapped a sheet around my legs one at a time and only massaged up to about a hands length above the knee. The MT usually runs the entire length of the leg.
He said face, head and abdominal massage are included and asked if I wanted them and I said yes. He started with light circles on my cheeks and pressure points along my cheek bones and light touching of the ears. Scalp massage was not a massage. Never got to the abdomen.
There was not a single technique or area that felt good. The ubiquitous rubbing of the neck between the thumb and forefinger while on the stomach was absent, no running the elbow or tip of finger along the shoulder blades, no long strokes of the deltoids.
I shouldn’t have given him a $ 5 tip, but I did because I’m in a service business myself and he worked for 50 minutes or so.
I told the woman at the desk that checked me out that the massage was not good. Shook my head side to side. She was not interested in feedback. OK, you are paying a discounted price for a student. But I would think they’d be interested in feedback. NOT.

Nadia, a LMT gave me an amazing massage. I loved the heated massage table and soothing music too.

Went for a deep tissue massage, done by Ryan. The office and room was really clean and relaxing. The drive to the Windward side is always a PLUS.
I have all kinds of issues with my body (knee, ankle, back, neck shoulders, etc) and a friend recommended this place because the the interns there do massages for a good rate. So I gave it a chance. It was easy to setup an appt, you can also do it online. The Staff there was really nice.
Ryan was my masseuse. He started with loosening up my neck and shoulders, then worked his way to my back. After he went in to the deep tissue massage and started explaining the parts of my back that needed lots of work on (we only had an hour) and apparently I have a lot of tension and what not. He also worked on my knee and ankle, did wonders on my ankle!

I have been a client for about three years. Appreciate the CLEAN, «spa-​like» facility, and professional staff. The interns, advanced interns, and LMTs that I have received massages from were polite, professional, respectful, to me, and attentive to my requests. I truly enjoy helping the students as a client and appreciate the easiness on my pocketbook if an intern or advanced intern is available for me. And, I love it that I always see everyone washing their hands. I have recommended this location to many of my friends.
