History
Established in 2007.
Chef Owner Mark Vann and Restauranteur Elliott Smith, also Mark’s brother in-law, opened Huli Sue’s in February of 2007. Mark hails from Lubbock, Texas so he knows something about BBQ. Over the years our family run business has developed a loyal clientele both local and tourist alike. We use local, fresh ingredients whenever available and believe in supporting our community. Our take-out containers and utensils are all eco-friendly and bio-degradeable. In December of 2009 we opened our second location at the Mauna Lani Resort Golf Clubhouse. The menu there is more of a clubhouse menu during the day and in the evening we feature authentic Italian cusine. Among Mark’s many culinary adventures around the world, he lived and cooked in Italy for a year. He brings his knowledge and personal experience to our Mauna Lani nighttime menu.
