Kaneohe Bay Private Charters

My boyfriend and I booked a trip with Kyle, and it was honestly one of the highlights and my favorite parts of my trip to the island of Oahu. Being on the sandbar was amazing, but he also takes you around it so that you get a little more than what other tours have to offer. He was able to show us a group of mantarays and turtles too!
Kyle, thank you for making us feel so special. You know what you did for us and we will never forget the memories and aloha that you have given us to cherish. Hanging out with you was like being with an old friend.
We will definitely hit you up when we decide to come back.

We had a perfect day in Kaneohe Bay thanks to Captain Kyle. We started the day on the 3 mile wide sandbar. It was crazy to go out from shore and be able to walk around in the middle of the bay. Next, my parents wanted to see some turtles and of course Cpt Kyle knew exactly where they were. We saw at least 20 surrounding our boat within 10 minutes. We then went over to a private beach where Kyle and his cousins would hang out when they were children. All along the way, Kyle shared some great stories with us about growing up in Hawaii. All around it was a fantastic personalized experience that shouldn’t be missed!

My family and I wanted to go to the Sandbar, but we didn’t/couldn’t kayak out there. So we found Kyle! He was super helpful and accommodating.
Pros:
— took us to different parts of the island/​Kaneohe Bay
— saw over 10 sea turtles
— went to secret beach
— saw some fish and the opening scene to Gilligan’s Island
— he had some drinks and fruit for us
Cons:
— he can only take about 6 adults
— we made our reservation so last minute, but will definitely call earlier for our next trip!

While on vacation in Hawai’i, we had several options to explore the island outside of the tourist spots like Waikiki. We chose the Captain Bob Tour which included transportation to and from the harbor, hanging out at the Sand Bar, BBQ, watching Giant Sea Turtles, and Snorkeling. Captain Kyle and his crew were the best hosts ever! They were very attentive to our needs, very friendly, courteous, and helpful. They made sure that our ride on the boat was very comfortable. Speaking of boat, it was a very nice boat. It wasn’t too big or too small, but just the right size for our group.
All of the views that saw were stunning and beautiful. The Sand Bar was super cool because it was located in the middle of the ocean with white sand and shallow water. we played water volleyball and then ate BBQ afterwards. Then we went to the watch the Giant Sea Turtles, and then snorkeling over the Coral Reef. I mention this because it was my first time snorkeling and I do not know how to swim. The crew member who was my guide, had helped me and was very calm and patient during the entire process. I probably would have never even attempted snorkeling if he was not so re-​assuring. The hard part for me was to relax, but I did it and I am so glad that I had seized the opportunity. The Coral Reef looked just like what you see on TV when the scuba divers are underwater filming.
As far the length of time that we did each activity, we could have done each one all day because of the nice weather and cool/​warm water. I know that I just confused you by the cool/​warm water part… So let’s just say that the water on the beaches of Hawai’i are cool when you first get in, but are warm once you are in. I think that the entire experience was worth the money that we spent for the excursion and I would not trade it for another experience. Captain Kyle and his crew definitely left a positive and everlasting memory for us so we recommend his Captain Bob Boat Excursion.

Simply an amazing and beautiful day on Kaneohe Bay! Scheduling was easy via phone and email with Kyle. Met him at the harbor– he helped us load the boat with all our stuff bentos, wine, towels, snacks, purses, snorkel gear. Turns out, he had a cooler full of water and juice and snorkel gear for us. Such a laid back, friendly and knowledgeable guy, Kyle made us feel like we were just a bunch of friends hanging out on his boat for the day. Was gift for my mom when she was visiting from NJ. She loved it.
Saw coconut island with hundreds of fish, then walked around sandbar, then saw about 20 turtles maybe more and then lunch stop at secret beach (or was it called island) and then past china mans hat.
Very special excursion, away from tourists, and I plan on recommending this to all my mainland guests. Made me wish I had a boat but then again I don’t know the first thing about maintenance, rules on boating (is that a verb) etc. will just have to make sure to become a regular patron of this business.

Captain Kyle and our tour of the bay was the highlight of our trip to the island! We loved Kyle’s stories of growing up on the island & he really has some great sights up his sleeve. The reef at Coconut Island was so beautiful and pristine, the sandbar… WOW!

I have now used Captain Kyle several times since our first excursion! He is extremely nice and everyone that I have referred him to thinks he’s great! He knows where to go so that one can see the beautiful turtles and he takes you on an adventure. The best part is that his tours are personal! He can fit up to 6 people and that so great because then you’re not stuck on one of those HUGE tourist traps being treated like cattle! He is very friendly and very generous! He even has a cooler with water for you! I have no problem referring Captain Kyle and do so as often as I can. I will continue to use his services for myself, my family, my friends, and anyone else that wants to enjoy the sandbar without the masses! Thank you Captain Kyle for a wonderful time on your boat!

Heard about Kaneohe Bay Private Charters through a friend. I’m so glad I booked! Kyle was a great captain from the beginning to end. He was extremely fun and knowledgable. The small group atmosphere is something we really enjoyed. A real personal type experience. My friends and I had the greatest time at the Kaneohe sandbar. If you’ve never been there, you need to check it out. We are already trying to plan our next outing.

Kyle was great! This was our sixth trip to Oahu, and we were looking for something different, away from the tourists. We had an awesome time exploring the bay, and got to see things that we wouldn’t otherwise be able to see without a boat and a knowledgeable captain. Thanks again, Kyle!

Captain Kyle took us to the fish farm where he used to camped there with his peers many years ago… who would have thought there is a seluded beach with white sand just round the corner… just like the exact spot in Pirate of the Caribbean where Captain Jack Sparrow was deserted.
He took us also to the Coconut island and we did some snorkeling there …10 times more beautiful than Hanauma Bay which is always crowded! The coral is alive and never been stepped on

Had a few friends visiting from out of town and a friend recommend that I give Kaneohe Bay Private Charters a call. Captain Kyle was so accommodating allowing us to choose things we wanted to do and took us out on a great adventure in beautiful Kaneohe Bay. Our day started off trolling for fish which took us around Kaneohe Bay and Chinaman’s Hat. We ended our day with lunch at the sandbar. We all had a great and fun time. Will definitely use his services again! Thanks again Captain Kyle.

I took my son, his girlfriend and two of his friends for a day on the bay. We did a little trolling, caught some dinner then hung out at the sandbar for snacks and drinks that we bought along with us. The water at the sandbar was crystal clear and the sand silky smooth.
Words cannot describe the views from the bay and sandbar. Some of the most beautiful scenery there is on the Windward side of Oahu. You have to see it for yourself!
This was an experience of a lifetime and I am so happy we went with Kaneohe Bay Private Charters. My son said he even wants to go again! lol Captain Kyle is the best boat captain on the bay! He has the true Aloha spirit and his knowledge of the bay was very impressive.

Wonderful and Amazing time!!! Kyle took four ladies on the greatest boat ride around the Kailua Bay. We went to some amazing places and had a great time! Kyle was very accommodating and we were able to choose exactly what we wanted to do. We went to the sandbar, secret beach, The Chinaman’s hat, and much more. Kyle is a native Hawaiian and knows all the ends and outs of Kailua Bay. If you want a tour with a personal touch and one that is loads of fun than Kyle is the tour guy for you.
