Yes she is no longer at Windward Pediatrics and that’s a good thing because every time she was unavailable we’d have to see Dr. Yim who has a lame wait and see kind of philosophy. Anyways, we were extremely sad when she left but by chance we had to switch insurance to Kaiser… low and behold we were able to find her again!!! So to anyone looking for a good pediatrician, Dr Morimoto can now be found at Kaiser Permanente. She has been my 3 girls pediatrician since they were babies. Very kind, thorough and takes the time to sit down and explain everything. They always seem to find a way to fit you in whenever urgent needs arise.

Dr Morimoto is no longer at Windward Pediatrics. We were very sad when she let us know she would no longer be there. She is very thorough and always explains everything to us. We never feel rushed whenever we talk to her about any questions or concerns. The wait can be a little long sometimes, the most we waited was half hour. Most of the time it was a 5 – 10 minute wait. It is a very busy office so we always made sure to keep our appointments and arrive on time or call them if we were running a few minutes behind.

Dr. Kathleen Morimoto was my daughters PCP. At first I thought she was the greatest doctor, she came to the hospital the day my daughter was born. Then I would get the run around and the front office staff was horrible to me. In Jan I decided to transfer my daughter to another PCP. She was sick and it took 8 hrs to get a call back from a doctor at the office. That same day I managed to call Alohacare, change PCP and make an appointment for the same day with her new doctor. Where the NEW doctor told me to stop giving her the medication Dr. Morimoto office told me to keep giving my daughter even though she was allergic to it. That day her new PCP Office sent Official Transfer of Records request, which I obviously had to sign for. Two weeks later I called Dr. Morimotos office and asked politely usually how long does it take to transfer records. The lady on the other end(they never identify themselves, which is unprofessional) was so rude to me. She literally told me that I wasn’t a priority and that she will get to it when they feel like it. I got the whole conversation recorded, which I plan to upload to Youtube. She was nasty. My daughter needed her Shot records for her Wellness Check Up. I know i’m a new mother and have a lot more to learn about life, and I do know they made a big error on their end. I had to file a grievance with my medical in order for them to fax my daughters records to her new PCP. Today I received a «Grievance Resolved Letter». Where doctor Morimotos office apologized«For the way I was treated». Yet I have to point out the fact that prior to that sentence was a lie told by Dr. Morimotos office. In the letter the office Manager said«that the medical records are not sent without official notice from the new doctor.» The day I asked if and when they were going to send the records. She admitted they received a «Official notice requesting my daughters records». So in reality. This office is unprofessional, placed my childs safety on the back burner, apologies for the way they treated me(through a third party), Then call me a liar that I did not send a official notice asking for records. Which in reality is all documented. What I learned from this: Always keep detailed records and audio recordings. Also to ask alot of questions.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I recently switched my 4yr old daughters medical from Kaiser to HMSA. Since I’m new with HMSA I asked around and Unilocaled a little on Pediatrics in Kaneohe. I seen and heard about Dr. Kathleen Morimoto. I called 2 months ago to make a 4yr check up for my daughter but the receptionist told me that before she can even be seen for a check up the Dr. Would like to meet with us both but the next meeting date wasn’t till about 2 months later. I called HMSA to add Dr. Morimoto as her PCP and they did so and sent me her updated medical card with Dr. Morimoto on it. I’m a single parent working many hours during the week day so I scheduled the«Meet» appointment 4−9−14 at 4pm. I had to stay late and couldn’t make the appointment and had to work 7:30−7pm shift all day yesterday. I called this morning to apologize for not making it into Tuesdays meeting but that I would like to reschedule. The receptionist who answered told me that I could not reschedule because I missed my appointment. Usually with all my doctors and dentist I’ve had for myself and daughter would usually call or email for a reminder but this place didn’t. The receptionist told me that they have a policy, if you miss your appointment you cannot reschedule and you would have to find another PCP. I think this is major BS. First off people do get busy and second she had no sympathy and resource. Very very rude. I know it’s my fault for not making it it but I just don’t understand how they couldn’t and wouldn’t let me reschedule. I will tell everyone on Unilocal and by mouth this place is very unprofessional and rude. Again this is just my opinion. Good luck with the rest and make sure you don’t miss any appointment before they drop you and leave you hanging to find a new PCP without care.

Picking a pediatrician is THEHARDEST thing to do as a parent. Luckily a family member also sends her children here, so it was a easy decision for me. I met with her once and knew she was THEONE! She’s so friendly, warm, and the only person I trust with my child. One meeting with her will have you convinced too! When I need to have her paged when she’s off, or unavailable, she calls back within 5 – 10 minutes(which is soooo fast, compared to other doctors!!). I am so lucky she is my pediatrician.
