Softee Frostee Bus

I happened upon the Softee Frostee Bus (complete with Softee license plate!) in da back parking lot of Da Kitchen. The bus, just like those ice cream trucks you’d come across as a kid, had a variety of frozen treat options from a Hot Fudge Brownie Sundae ($ 5) to Slush Floats ($ 4) to Coke or Root Beer Floats ($ 3). I was stuffed from my meal at Da Kitchen (yet was headed to Waiola — hey! Don’t judge!), but could not pass up a Softee Frostee Bus!
I settled on a cup (choice of cup or cone) of Strawberry Dole Whip ($ 3), which was super smooth and refreshing. Although I prefer Pineapple Dole Whip, this was still yummy!
Unfortunately according to the Softee website, looks like the bus is mainly available for catering purposes only, so you’re not likely to find it regularly roaming the streets. If, however, you are lucky enough to spot the Softee Frostee bus, you should definitely give it a try if just for nostalgia’s sake!
