Horrible location, horrible service. Had new tires put on my van. One week later we have a flat overnight. Put spare on, drove to location. Tires were «covered by road hazard «according to Asian guy behind counter. But the pro rated replacement cost for one 16» tire was going to be 156 $ !! That’s 20 $ more than the tire cost new !! After complaining he agreed to «help me out «by only charging 53 $ instead, saying that we only had 85% tread left on the tire. In 6 days and 250 miles it was impossible to wear the tire off 15%. I protested and tried to show the manager the mold marks still remaining on the tread, to no avail. Being bent over a barrel, I paid the 53 $, (somehow after taxes, fees, and «shop supplies, it was back up to 71 $) and left, vowing never to return to any Firestone, anywhere …

Will never do business with these guys again.
I have heard that this business scams its customers into buying repairs, and today I know firsthand that this is true.
This morning I dropped my car off for a routine MO. inspection and oil change. I received a call this afternoon that the car could not be passed because it had some moisture in the headlight lens (it’s been raining basically the entire month of May 2015) and that the part would be 1200.00 to replace plus labor. Are you kidding me?
Needless to say I declined the ludicrous quote and am picking up the vehicle. The headlight works fine and will pass inspection anywhere else. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.
Thanks a lot, Firestone. I will not be returning ever again as long as I live!

I have always gotten great service in the store. The employees I interacted with there were very helpful and I know I can trust them to suggest only the necessary repairs. And I love that they keep a record of maintenance. They also sometimes have good deals on tires where you buy three and get fourth free.

Nice enough guys, but what they told me needed to be done would have cost me over $ 1,000 at Firestone. I got all the NECESSARY repairs done for under $ 300 elsewhere. However, when I did have Firestone replace a headlight — for $ 68 — my other mechanic found the OLD BULB UNDER MY HOOD!

After realizing that I had a «bubble» on the outside of my tire, I realized that I needed to get it fixed ASAP for safety reasons. I called Firestone because it’s quite close to my house and they were able to set me up for an appointment the next morning.
I dropped my car off around 8:10 and then got dropped off at work in North Kansas City. They say that they only drop off in the Downtown area but they’re very willing to go slightly further if need be.
They ended up calling me an hour later saying that my car was ready to pick up whenever… this was pretty awesome because although it’s a simple tire change, I know they’re busy.
I picked my car up at lunch time and was charged LESS than I initially thought. Thanks Firestone! :)

At your own risk… I took the car in for maintenance to prepare for a cross-​country drive. I was informed that the battery and tires were not perfect but should make it «just fine“to my destination. Not the case. The battery died completely the very next day after service and all four tires had to be replaced in Las Vegas, two days later. Additionally, they do not top off fluids, citing that they can’t top off fluids that they did not fill initially (I’ve never heard this). In short, the representative behind the desk was nice but the shop failed at taking care of my car.

I have spent a ton of money at this place and have been back three times for the exact same problem. I went to a DEALERSHIP and got the probelm fixed the «first» time for cheaper.

Went and got my alignment done here since I’m on the lifetime alignment plan. The first time I went in, they were way to busy and they were honest about it and asked if I’d like to come in a different time. I apprecited that honesty because then I could come back when it was better. So I did. It was great and easy. I really appreciated it. They were so friendly too.
It turned out that my car was pulling because of a caliper problem that they suggested I do, and some other things too. They suggested a tie rod thing becuase they felt it was wobbly. But I later took my car to another two places, and my tie rod was perfectly fine (so I had my calipher replaced at a different place).

This group of guys will go out of their way to make sure you receive the best service available. I had a few issues involving a tire I purchased and my wheel. They did everything possible to make sure I had the best experience possible.
You will not regret having your car serviced at Firestone on Truman.

So. That awesome review I wrote about my car getting utterly destroyed last week? (
) It turns out the guys at Firestone should have caught a problem in my oil filter when I took it in for a full car inspection at the end of last December. In essence, that whole madness was a little bit of their fault.
So why the added, elusive 5th star?
These guys completely admitted their error. They replaced my engine with a newer, used one (went from 80,500 to 26,000, dang) and paid for all the expenses… this includes towing, labor, new engine… all of it.
The honesty at this place really, really saved my life. I have no idea how I’d pay for a new engine right now. I got my car back after just 5 days without it, and I get to take it in after 500 miles for a free inspection and oil change.

They are always very busy, which is great, it means they’ll be around. But unfortunately, they gave me an estimate which I got three second opinions on and all said, «Much too high.» Not really digging the experience.

I agree with Erin’s review. They are all very friendly and give you a reasonable expectation of when you’ll get your car fixed.
I came in to do a Missouri inspection. I got in early and they were packed with cars. They were very busy. Once they got to my car, they didn’t take too long.
I’ll come back to get my major service in a bit. Always had great luck with Firestone.
