Freaks On Broadway Tattoo & Body Piercing

I got my tattoo here a few years ago and had a great experience, so I decided to come back for my nose piercing. Paulie did a great job and was so thorough before and after the piercing. They walk you through every step and answer any questions you may have even weeks after the piercing. I would recommend them to anyone :)

Have gotten a couple of piercings here and could not be more pleased with my experience. They are always so helpful, informative, and nice. I would highly recommend going to Freaks for any piercing!

I came here quite a few years ago to have my nose pierced, for a second time (after I had to take the first one out). The lady who pierced it went through the process with me, and went nice and slow. She was even understanding about a few tears squeezing out!
The first time the guy just counted down. Then again, I was in college at that time, so he may have known I had been partying earlier…

Love my tattoo from Zeke!!! It was a portrait of Ada Lovelace and I was quite particular about the shading and coloring but he was quite up for the challenge! :) He talked me right through the pain (it was a bit large) and kept me laughing too. I was nervous about the healing process but he helped calm my fears and reassure me everything was going to be ok :) Thanks Zeke!

Great customer service. I’ve not had any work done here but have come by to pick up accessories. They’ve always been very helpful, friendly, professional. I lost a piece of a piercing once and they offered to replace the part free. I instead, bought several pieces just in case I were to lose one again. I highly recommend this business.

I called and asked if I could get a piercing it was about 8:15pm And they said of course! I came in and the gentleman at the front desk was so friendly and nice then I went to the back to get my tongue pierced by Paulie who was awesome, so professional and almost pain free! I love my piercing, it’s in the most perfect spot! I am eager to come back in a month and switch out the jewelry.

Spontaneously wanted my tragus pierced, so I decided on this place she to positive reviews. That, and I was already hanging out in Westport. Everyone there was so friendly, I felt very welcomed. Great service, and my piercer talked me through everything. People there seemed very laid back, I could tell they actually enjoyed their jobs, and enjoyed building customer relationships.

When I walked into the shop to get a piercing the lady had just left to get a coffee. While I waited the guy at the front desk was so nice and helpful with all of the question I had even some that weren’t piercing related. This is one of the few tattoo shops that I have been in where they don’t treat you like a fool for asking question. The piercer was gone maybe 10 minutes which was a lot faster than I thought she would be. I ended up getting my double forward helix done by Cara. She was so nice and walked me through the entire process. I will definitely go back to her.

Hmmm, not really sure what to think about this place. My friend had called to see if she could get an outline done (on a Friday), and the lady said she could as long as it wasn’t a «dragon on her back» or whatever. We get there and there’s a lot of people. The shop was clean, but the person at the desk was fairly rude and had a thick accent, and also had no tattoos… which was weird. He said we couldn’t do that and we left without a tattoo for my friend. The shop was nice and very clean, not sure how I feel about the people.

Got my nose pierced a couple days ago with Phish. Cool dude. My nose has been bleeding a ton but I think it’s cause I keep messing with it :/​. The piercing didn’t last any longer than two seconds. Very quick and easy! Can’t wait for it to heal. Thank you. PS don’t forget to tip your piercer. PSS the man at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful!

Totally in love with this shop and will be back for more ink in the future! I live in Orange County, CA. But, Meg is SO talented and amazing, she is well worth the cost of a plane ticket. Completely satisfied. I LOVE MY Tattoo and my new nose piercing I also had done while I was there.

Well… This place got recommended to me by several friends. Nice shop. Never got to meet an artist. I told the girl up front what I wanted which was a small tattoo on my collarbone and she straight up told me no and was incredibly rude about it. Called several other tattoo shops and they said they would do it no problem. Odd.

Recently decided on a whim to get my nose pierced with my best friend. I went to Freaks around 10 pm on a Saturday night and the rest has been glorious history!
A few years back I had a horrible facial piercing experience in another city that resulted in a lot of blood and unconsciousness. However, this experience at Freaks felt like a dream! The girl who did our piercings was also a registered nurse, so I felt very comfortable and I knew that she understood the facial anatomy well enough to avoid major vessels. I had heard that the nose piercing would be painful, but I honestly felt no pain (and I am a baby when it comes to pain). The piercer walked me through each step as she went and the process was so quick. There were a few tiny dots of blood that she cleaned up for me and then I was off.
My friend’s piercing was just as painless and looked just as great as mine. I wish I could remember the name of the piercer because she was fantastic. She was so thorough in her explanations and gave great advice on where to place the piercing and how to clean it to avoid infection.
I would definitely recommend this place to you, whether you are getting your first piercing or your millionth!

My friends and I decided to get piercings and we picked this place willy nilly. The shop was clean and the guy at the front desk was helpful and friendly. The prices was more than reasonable. We were pierced by Irene, she is adorable btw. She was quick and very knowledgeable. I am going to go back for some tattoos. Highly recommended.

Just got a tattoo from Zeke! I can only say great things. Professional, on time, affordable and it is amazing! He was wonderful to work with. I got more than I expected. Some tattoo shops can tend to be «snobbish.» Freaks was far from it. They were even playing Christmas music. So much more professional than the other shops in KC. I would give this experience 6 stars if I could. Great all the way around. Thank you Freaks on Broadway!

After all the helpful Unilocal tips (yips?) I was convinced that I would like Freaks. They were right. Everyone at Freaks was nice and professional. Phish did my nose piercing and did a great job.
I did find that they only have someone piercing until 9 p.m. and nose piercings are currently $ 30. Don’t forget to tip your piercer.

I went here to gt my nose re-​pierced. It was a short wait, the receptionist was friendly, and the girl that did the piercing was very professional. The place looked clean, and had a very professional presentation to it, from the waiting room to the back room. I recommend for piercing.

Freak’s was there for me to make the worst mistake of my life… and they were also there to help me fix it! So my praise is high, and my memories are hazy, as I once decided to pierce my eyebrow with my friend visiting from LA after a few hours of ‘celebration’.
No. It wasn’t painful and I think the staff was generally very helpful and efficient. And I loved my piercing for all of eight hours before I realized with one great paralyzing look in the mirror that the chrome bolt in my eyebrow just wasn’t me!
So day 2, I set out to Freaks in hysterics needing it to be taken out, desperately, I was naively worried it would scar horribly and I would be left somehow disfigured. But I was reassured this wouldn’t happen by the wonderful lady who helped me unscrew the piercing from my face… and without charge! And although she could have easily made me feel like a ‘freak’ (no pun intended) for wanting to undo my little act of rebelliousness, she absolutely did not. She was so genuinely nice about the whole thing, and I will always be grateful to her because of it!
Now I only regard Freaks with fondness but I hope I don’t think of it too often after another ‘celebration’ for fear I might wake up the next day with a huge butterfly tattoo on my shoulder and a lip ring!

When I finally summoned the courage to get a tattoo, two baristas recommended Freaks to me. «Talk to Chris,» they both said. And they didn’t steer me wrong. He helped me decide on size and placement, and the art deco flower I got on my ankle looks great. I like his work enough that he did my second tattoo too!
All of the artists at Freaks on Broadway seem professional. Clean work areas, quick work and advice on what not to do – such as when Chris told my daughter she shouldn’t get color since she tans — are all evident at Freaks. The place practically gleams, and that’s what you want to see when people are using their needles … on you.
Price-​wise I think Freaks is fair too. If you’re in a hurry, it’s good to call ahead because they’re popular and you’ll end up waiting otherwise. Be sure to tip your artist if you like his or her work. These artists have their own tats to get too!
