impressLOCAL, a new online marketing company launched by The Kansas City Star, provides online marketing to small & medium-​size businesses.

impressLOCAL targets doctors, plumbers, restaurants, dentists & other businesses that want to reach retail customers, but lack the resources to manage their digital presence.

Clients of impressLOCAL will be able to establish a presence on the web, in both computer– and mobile-​friendly formats. They’ll promote their businesses through Facebook, gain greater recognition from search engines, track their online reputations, advertise online and track incoming calls. And they will receive real-​time reports on each front.

Mi-​Ai Parrish, publisher of The Star, says the new business group was a response to requests for such service and would provide it in a turnkey approach. «We’re like an online marketing agency,» Parrish says of impressLOCAL.
