Simple yet tasty food and great prices. Will be back. Also service was great for lunch.

The food was pretty good but just needed more seasoning. The sweet potato fries and mushrooms were really good. Atmosphere interesting. I would eat there again. Priced right!

The inside of this place is really neat and the staff is very friendly. The food was ok, could use a tad more seasoning for my taste. My sandwich was a little over cooked. The wait staff is very busy and it is hard for them to keep up with all the people walking in. We will give this place another shot.

Day before pay day and I have $ 10 in my pocket for lunch… Hop on Unilocal search«Cheap Lunch» #1 = The Brick. The photos and reviews are solid so my lunch was planned. Arrived a little after they open at 11 and the place was already half full of patrons. I bellied up to the bar and cruised the menu. I already had my mind made up after seeing the Oklahoma Dog in photos and it was as advertised! A large ¼ pound beef hot dog wrapped in America’s favorite pork product, BACON then beer battered and fried all on a poppy seed bun! This was delicious and large enough for a meal on its own. I also had a side of fries, which were good but next time I will order the tots. All in all my bill was under $ 10! Incredible bargain!

Love it! There aren’t a whole lot of places I’ve been too with great burgers in this city, but the Brick is definitely one. This place also has that wonderful dive bar atmosphere(the good kind, not the kind where you feel like you might get stabbed) that I often love. The eclectic mix of musicians and performers that play here range from amazing to just god-awful, but are always memorable.

Wings alone are worth a return trip. Zim wings were hot dripping with sauce and good. BBQ bacon cheese burger is well prepared, condiments round out the fare nicely. Fries were seasoned and crispy. Chicken nachos weren’t going to win any awards but still decent. Especially for the price. Kinda nice to get out of a place without breaking a $ 50.

The hamburgers in this place are top notch. I value the local artwork on the wall. I normally compose long reviews, but can I summarize the awesomeness of this place by saying that they complied with my party’s request to make a fried Twinkie wrapped with bacon.

Unfortunately, our trip to The Brick was less than stellar. According to their website, the kitchen is available until 11 on Saturday nights. As much as we hated to go so late, we didn’t arrive in KC until about 10:25, but since the place was open until 3, we thought we’d still be okay. We were immediately informed that the kitchen was closing in 15 minutes, so I apologized profusely and said we’d hurry, knowing that the kitchen certainly didn’t close at 10:40. The food wasn’t anything special. It might have been, but it was so sloppily thrown together that some was almost inedible. The waitress had told me there were four chicken strips in the basket, but all I got was 3 small chicken strips, with more chunks of breading on them than chicken. The«provolone sticks» are cheap frozen mozzarella sticks that the cooks pulled out of the fryer before they were even warmed. Oh, and the grease on the fryers had not been changed in waaaaaay too long. Our waitress was cold towards us, but not outwardly rude. She brought out our ticket without needing to be asked, but put all 5 of us on one ticket. Then said she couldn’t ring it up any differently because they don’t have a POS system. She then informed us that they were done on the floor but we could still order drinks at the bar. It seems strange that they wouldn’t have a single waitress to take drink orders, but rather make everyone stand in line at the bar. Guessing that might have just been another lie. The food sounds cool and the prices are great, but this place is definitely not worth the trip.

The Brick… is not as good as people think. I feel like I’ve been lied too!!! First off my cheap ass got way too excited when I saw .75 cent tacos. BIGREDFLAG! I don’ care if it’s taco Tuesday! There’s a reason why it was 75 cent and to be honest it shouldn’t been a special. If you like cold unseasoned, jarred El paso salsa then by all means have at it. When I told my server that I didn’t like our order she asked why and I explained it. She said«let me see if I can fix it» — First of all, you can’t fix it. Unless you’re gonna recook the beef. She comes back asking if I want something else I said no and Ill just pay for the Brick basket(which Ill tell yall in a bit) . She later tells us «oooh yeah, I’m not a fan of our taco meat so I totally understand» 1– You could have told us that before we ordered. 2– dammmmmmn girl why you doggin’ on the place you work out. Just apologize, don’t throw them under the bus. Brick Basket– Pre-packaged frozen items that you can just throw in the deep fryer. I’ve work in the F&B industry long enough to tell. Definitely not worth the $ 8 something. Super disappointed just because Ive heard so many good things about this place. It makes me sad, even Guy Fieri liked this place– You’ve lied to me too GUY!!! So if you like pre-packaged frozen deep fried foods, and cold tacos because it’s cheap this is you place.

Went to see a band. I was there by myself. I was at a table, but standing so I could see, which I guess means, «She must not want anything». The waitresses pushed by me 900 times, never asked me if I wanted any single thing. One stopped and cleaned out her pockets onto my table. This place overwhelmingly smells like old ketchup. They seemed to provide good service to everyone else, so I guess they didn’t like me. I’m not going to spend my nights and days worrying about that or thinking about a return visit.

No, no, and more no. This place has rave reviews and it is beyond me as to why. We chose this place for a Saturday brunch. We were seated and asked if we wanted coffee or a mimosa. Later we found out they had $ 1 bloody Mary’s. I ordered the disco fries which were said to come with chorizo fire gravy. The gravy had no flavor or taste let alone«fire.» They seemed short staffed and so the service was awful. We were never checked on while eating and our bill was just dropped. Guess we didn’t want another drink. I won’t return based on the bad food & service. At least it was cheap.

Excellent service once again! Great happy hour choices and prices. Mike P. did a great job taking care of us — he was personable and knowledgeable. I loved the White Manhattan and would definitely order it again. Hubby enjoyed the oysters and the sliders that were part of the happy hour menu. We really need to make this a weekly affair!

I can’t believe a restaurant can survive serving $ 1 cans of beer, along with $ 5.50 burgers in this day and age and have great food, somehow The Brick has pulled this one out of its hat! Great burgers, fresh cut fries, and fresh salads! The wait staff was nice but didn’t check on us until we were almost finished and therefore one burger didn’t get the mayo attention it deserves. Thats the only reason for docking a star. Overall great value!

Fabulous! Great local and homey dive type pub. Super artistic. Staff friendly and sooo attentive. They have their shit together! I got a hibiscus beer, a local brew pale ale, a BLT, and a salad. The bacon was super crispy and delicious. Big portions, great service only for $ 17. The local brewery they had on draught was very good and so cheap. Great indie artist ambience with a nice blend of hipster dance ish music and covers… Amy wine house, XX, the yeah yeah yeahs, Miike Snow, Lumineers, etc. Pretty cool painted art on the wall from framed tuff, canvases, and small little blocks. Very creative lighting and art. Even the restrooms had a cool vibe with paintings everywhere. They have live music at night but unfortunately didn’t get to stay long enough for that. Didn’t know what to expect, went to the first place with one $ sign in the area we saw in Unilocal

Yum. I love finding hidden gems throughout the KC area(thanks to Unilocal). Between the two of us(again, hashtag fatties), we got the Hot Mess Tots, Oklahoma Hot Dog, Patty Melt, Greek Salad with Chicken and Sweet Potato Fries. You like how we added that salad in there? Lol. It’s definitely a couple steps up from your typical bar food. Definitely a little dive bar feel and bathrooms… umm hard pass.

I was doing a Unilocal search for Taco Tuesday and stumbled upon The Brick. The reviews mention veggie tacos at the low price of .75, so I had to check it out. The walls are filled with art that you can purchase and the interior has a laid back, casual feel. On Tuesdays, you have a choice between beef or veggie tacos. The veggie tacos are hard shell and filled with beans, lettuce, cheese and sauce. Surprisingly, they had a good amount of flavor in them. They also have tequila and margarita drink specials on Tuesday as well. I’m pretty sure that they have a special everyday of the week here and I really like this place because they offer a good amount of vegetarian dishes. The prices are good, as well as the food, so I’m sure I’ll be back to try something new.

I really dig the brick. I have only been here twice now but the prices are great(especially for brunch), the selection is awesome, and the atmosphere is pleasant. Just recently I went for brunch and not only was it tasty, it was easy on the wallet. We went on a Saturday and got the all you can eat biscuits and gravy for $ 3.95. $ 3.95!!! It’s so low it’s crazy, it isn’t a cheap selection of biscuits and gravy either. They had traditional gravy very similar to the way your mother might cook it, they had a vegetarian gravy that tasted like mushrooms, a maple syrup gravy that was sweet and delicious, and a chorizo gravy that made me sweat! We also both got an Irish Coffee to polish off our bad dietary choices and we couldn’t have been happier. It was a delicious blend of coffee and whiskey, just enough whiskey to taste it a little. It also came with whip cream on top. I got mine with my meal but I would recommend getting it at the end as desert. The Irish whiskey was $ 5 dollars, and although that might be a price Vincent Vega would’ve complained about, it was worth every penny. I plan to go back and try their cocktail«A Hug from Ryan Gosling» as well. Not just because of the name but because it is a cocktail with Overholt Rye, honey, ginger beer, and an orange peel. Keep up the great work Brick, I’ll be back for sure!
