Popeye’s

I called my large order in 30 minutes ahead of time and still had to wait 20+ minutes for my food when I showed up. This location never has their shit together. The food is decent, but there’s a reason I come so infrequently.

Realize it’s fast food, but this branch is a joke. Think they’d raise the bar somewhere.
After several visits and getting nothing but:
Yelling
Rude attitudes
Miscommunication/​poor listening
Long waits
Incorrect orders,
I messaged the site/​headquarters, and got no response. Shocker.
Given the umpteen of bad reviews here, imagine things are still the same.
Your call/​waste of time/money…less you’re REALLY craving them/they’re the closest branch.

I don’t want to talk bad about the food cause food is the same every Popeye’s u go. But service in this place is horrible to say the least. I went today and I placed an order and they had me waiting for 20 min because they had no chicken. REALLY!!! The only thing they sell is chicken and they don’t have it prepare. If only they were nice I wouldn’t mind waiting. So if u have any other option don’t go here.

Been a yr since I’ve been here. Figured new management would be here but same rude ass girls working! Told them all the sauces I wanted at the speaker. Get to window and my food isn’t in bags and ordered two meals. And when I asked for sauces, they were huffy and puffy like it was so much more work. Asked for honey mustard and they said they didn’t have it. I asked for mardi grad mustard and after rolling her eyes I got it! I wouldn’t even give this place a one star! New management and crew needed!!!

I cannot believe how unprofessional the workers are here. Their boards were not working (could have been because it was storming outside). I drive to both boards and hear nothing after saying hello so I drive to the window to order. The worker looked at me with a crazy eye when I asked to order and told me I had to order at the board. I told her it wasn’t working and she huffed and puffed like the big bad wolf and asked another worker «Ughhhh come tell this boy he gotta order at the board». Are you f ing kidding me?!? There was not even anyone there but me so it wasn’t like I was holding up business. Unbelievable!!! Who does that??? Based on other reviews of this location it looks like this level of service, or lack of, is pretty consistent. SMH!!!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I ordered the jambalaya and they said that they didn’t have any and it had to be made. I saw it being microwaved and now it is tasteless and mushy. The lady taking my order couldn’t be bothered to do her job. They asked me to pull around to another window so that I don’t mess up there order time. This place deserves to either be closed or taken under new management. Absolutely terrible I wish I didnt pay for this crap.

I only come here when I am jonesing for Popeye’s so badly I can’t stand it. Horrible service, horrible manners, horrible atmosphere. Jack up my orders sometimes. How hard is it? I’m not making fun of fast food because I’ve had some great service but come on.

Upon reaching the final destination of my road trip (Los Angeles to Kansas City, MO), a burning question filled my mind:
Is the Popeye’s in Missouri any different than the one back home? I had to find out.
I ordered a 3 wing special ($ 2.55?).
It…was…the…best…fried chicken wings… I’ve…ever…had. And that is saying A LOT.
I mean. Wow. Slightly crispy, but mostly flaky skin. Just a smidgen undercooked to maximize juiciness. Simply… perfect.
Don’t get me wrong. This place was filthy. Drive in only. Flies everywhere. A flock of pigeons flying out of the trash bin when I went to throw away my trash. But all that aside, it was freaking delicious.
