Zest Kauai

We haven’t seen our video yet, but we just returned from our wedding trip to Hawaii and can’t wait to see it. Michelle was awesome– super sweet, we loved having her around. I saw in a previous review that their guests didn’t even know Michelle was there– same for us! She did an amazing job of (hopefully) catching everyone enjoying the party and not worrying about being on camera. Can’t wait to see the video, but wanted to leave a review based on working with Michelle leading up to and after the wedding.

Michelle is an absolute delight to work with on your wedding day! She is warm, kind and more than competent in capturing such a special event. We hired her for our Kauai beach wedding and she exceeded our hopes at every step. As this was a very small second wedding and a surprise for our adult children, I debated hiring a videographer but I’m so happy I did. It’s such special memory for us and it’s been wonderful to share with family and friends.
She is completely unobtrusive in her work and we never really knew she was around and yet our highlight reel and our full ceremony video prove that she was more than around — she was everywhere!
I was also so surprised when I received such a beautiful presentation of all my final footage. I was just expecting a CD to arrive but what showed up was a elegantly packaged presentation.
And not only is she a skilled shooter, she’s an equally skilled editor — we love our wedding video and it captures beautifully our lovely day on Hanalei Bay!

My husband and I had Michelle shoot our wedding, and we were absolutely blown away. Our video was spectacular — emotional and full of so many beautiful moments that we didn’t even realize we experienced in the rush of the day. The editing was absolutely perfect… Michelle has so much talent — a true eye for those tender moments of that day that you so desperately want to capture. She was wonderful to work with, very pleasant and responsive. I’ve seen plenty of wedding videos, but hers just radiate with pure artistry and impeccable detail. We couldn’t be happier.

My now hubby and I flew to Kauai and eloped on Oct 2 2013. As it was only the 2 of us we wanted to have a video for all our our family and friends to see and when I found her webisite I was blown away by the quality of videos! I contacted her via email and she was incredilby quick with her response which is a big plus. Not only did she help us with our video questions, she also recommended incredible vendors to us: Sam Mitzel (photography), Kelvin Ho (officiant), and Megan Mendoza (hair/​makeup). As my hubby and I were planning this trip from CA her assistance made the process so much easier and calmed my nerves a lot. She also met us a few days before the wedding for coffee to discuss how we’d like the ceremony to go, how she would work, what she’d capture, and that just made us feel so at ease! We spent several hours with Michelle the day of the ceremony and by the end of the day we felt like she was a friend we’d known forever, not just a vendor, which made it all that more special. And the icing on the cake is that her fees are incredibly affordable for a wedding videographer! Check out her site if you’d like to get a video of any special occasion! We got married at Poipu Beach in November 2012. It was such a great decision to hire Michelle from Zest! She did a fantastic job and we’re so happy with the quality of our DVD. She captured even little details that we weren’t aware of until we watched our DVD. She sent it out in a very elegant box that we are happy to show off to friends & family. I’d recommend her for any other couple!

Michelle of Zest Kauai did the MOST amazing job capturing our wedding day and turning it in to an absolute masterpiece. She came highly recommended by Morgan Childs of Moana Events, and having known Michelle personally for many years, hiring her was an easy choice. To be honest, I was skeptical about needing a videographer, but after seeing just our highlight video alone, I couldn’t imagine not having had Michelle there (in fact, I wish we had her stay longer!).
Capturing the words of our ceremony, the cocktail reception, our guests reactions when we entered the tent for the first time, the surprise hula I did for my husband, our first dance, and all of the other sounds and words of happiness was so important to me. But the magic really happens during the editing process, and Michelle did a superior job. She blended wonderful moments, words and music together seamlessly, creating a beautiful story of our special day.
Not only was the video she produced top-​notch, Michelle was on time, professional, and completely inconspicuous (most of our guests saw the video and responded by saying, first, that it brought tears to their eyes and second, that they didn’t even realize that we had a videographer there!). No small feat considering all of the cameras etc. that Michelle had with her that day. She was easy to communicate with both before and after the event, and finished our video quickly. When we received our hard-​copy video in the mail, it was beautifully and thoughtfully wrapped with a hand-​written note from Michelle and stunning still photos she took out from the video that were framed in the leather CD case the disc was in. From beginning to end, it was such a pleasure working with her.
We watch our video all the time and it is truly something that we will treasure for a lifetime. If there is one thing you make room for in your budget, make sure it’s to have Zest Kauai there to capture your special day. Thank you Michelle!
