Jose (owner /​operator) started off with 5-​star consult and disappointingly things quickly went downhill from there. He promised to provide a quote in 24 hours to repair my laptop. Told him 48 hours was fine. One week later still hadn’t heard from him. Emailed him to check on it on the chance that I’d incorrectly written my email address on the service request. Still no response. Called him a week after that and he said that he didn’t have the paperwork with him but would call me later that day. No biggie as Geek IT is his side gig. Weeks later, still haven’t heard from Jose. So glad I didn’t leave my laptop with him as he proposed during the consult!

Odd business hours, but competent and friendly service. Backed up and replaced a faulty laptop hard drive for me. Had after service issues with the operating system he installed not matching the one on the previous drive ending up costing me the price of a new license for the operating system he did install.

I had 2 external hard drives that crashed. These held years and years worth of priceless photos!!! Jose was did a diagnostic on both, and was honest that he could salvage one and not the other. He was also straight forward about the price and time it would take.
Needless to say, we happily have access to hundreds of lost photos. Also, there was a Unilocal deal, so we paid a remarkable price for his service. Even without the deal, it was the best quote I had.
Just a heads up that retrieving a crashed hard drive will take time. Silly me thought it would take a few days.

After trying to find some free movies online, my laptop has been giving me problems that i just couldnt deal with anymore. Found Jose on Unilocal and read such good reviews, so i decided to come in for help. He was able to remove the virus/​malware that was preventing my laptop from connecting to the internet. Will be coming back if i have any future laptop problems (hopefully i wont though) Very helpful and friendly. 5 stars!

I cracked the screen for my 5 yr old laptop and I went to Jose to get an estimate. First let me say when I called it was about 30 mins tIL closing. BUT Jose mentioned he could wait for me if it took me more than 30 mins to get there. WOW!!! I knew I had to go there. When I got there Jose greeted me with a smile and right away looked at my laptop. He gave me SO MANY options. One of them actually meant that I wouldn’t give him any business but it made sense. I gave him credit for being honest and not trying to scam ppl. I ended up going with this option but since I had such a great experience with him I wanted to let other Unilocalers know.

Jose is great. Honest, helpful, and is very quick in sending estimates and doing repairs. Gives discounts to returning customers. Would highly recommend Geek-​it!

Jose is very fair and helpful. I was told by other computer repair companies that it would cost me over $ 300 just for them to look at my disk drive and no guarantee of a repair or anything. Jose said that if he can’t find anything then it won’t cost me a thing. Good guy, fair and honest. Much appreciated!

Brought my old laptop in. Jose diagnosed it as motherboard failure and let me know how much it would be to replace it. We discussed costs, and decided it was better for me to buy a new laptop. I brought the new laptop in the following week and Jose transferred my files over very quickly. I was back in business that same day. Plenty of parking in the Hawaii Self Storage lot as well.
