The Body Bar

I had to remove my fake eyelashes asap! I tried to remove it by myself but it would not come off and I irritated it worse! I made an appt with Bodybar and she got it off in a few minutes with no irritation to my eyes! She even taught me about eyelashes! I never wrote a review to any business before, but, she really relieved my stress!

I’ll admit, I don’t have the best brows out there due to my cousin botching it in middle school & then each «professional» I went to didn’t do a good job either. So it’s kind of hard for me to find someone to do my brows AND I’m very picky. But thanks to Unilocal,I don’t think I’ll be having a problem from now on. I’ve decided to try this place & im glad I did.
First off, she does it from the comfort of her home. I’m not used to it, but now I can see why she does it. She can just focus on each client & not rush. I’ll definitely get used to it. She has her own separate space just for her services.
She is also easy to talk to, which is a plus. I definitely like someone that I could talk to so things wouldn’t be awkward, but not talk too much so she could focus on what she’s doing.
There is plenty of street parking. I love that it’s not crowded.

I have been going here for a year for lashes and haircuts. I always got compliments when she did my lashes cause they look so natural. A couple of months ago she started coloring & cutting my hair. My hair was a beautiful burgundy. BUT Have to change my 5 star rating and bring it down to 3 stars for 2 reasons.
1) I use to look forward to going to the Body Bar. It was as if I was meeting a friend and could just relax & chat as if we had known each other for years. BUT-​The atmosphere has changed since she moved to her new place. Maybe, it’s just me but I can’t relax when I hear slamming doors from her garage & her dogs seem to be barking at random times. I know these are things out of her control but the atmosphere has changed.
2) Everyone has a off day. Unfortunately, it happened when I asked her to lighten my hair it came out gray/​green at the roots. She was determined to make sure I was satisfied, after a couple of attempts to fix the color she took out the color and my hair was bleached bright orange. I was tired after 7hours & didn’t realize how orange my hair was cause the lighting wasn’t great. A couple of days later I was honest w/​her, told her I ended up going somewhere else to correct my color. She refunded my money
right away.
Going to take a break from the Body Bar but do wish Meg all the best. She is a expert w/​lashes and w/​lashes she has my 5 star rating

Love these lashes. Meg is very professional an artist in her own space. She made me feel very comfortable and did an excellent job with my lashes.
She walked me through the process and made me look wonderful

I absolutely love my lashes! Megs truly is an artist, she’s very helpful and does an AMAZING job.
Firstly, her prices are the best. Considering her quality of work, she could be charging a whole lot more. And she gives great discounts for checking in, writing a review, etc. Consult her website for more detailed info.
Secondly, booking with her is super easy with the Style Seat app. It will list all the services she provides as well as dates and times available. Love this especially, very convenient.
Lastly, I have to say, I was just going to get my lashes done once to test them out before my wedding later this year. But… I love them way too much! They put a pep in my step, and I feel like I can just roll out of bed and start my day. Thanks, Megs!!!
PS — the massaging table is THE BEST. I almost fell completely asleep at my last appointment lol. I opened my eyes when she was done and felt completely rejuvenated. Can’t wait for the next one!

GOOD NEWS: She was totally worth the drive from town to Kapolei in rush hour traffic during a weekday… not just any type of traffic, but 3pm kill me now because this traffic is freaking insane kinda traffic.
BAD NEWS: my husband is already rolling his eyes at me finding another «thing» that I NEED to have done every month. Haha
SCHEDULING: quick and easy. everything was done through her website. she has LOTS of information on there– before and after pics, FAQ’s etc. I also received a reminder text 2 days before my appointment which was nice.
PARKING: There’s 4 unmarked stalls on the side of her building (next to the mail boxes) that you can use to park
Now onto the actual service:
This was my 1^st time getting lash extensions so I did my research. I read through many different reviews for many different companies/​artists. Megs was the only one I found that had consistent, positive reviews in regards to the service (I think someone wrote something negative about the process of scheduling but for me, that had nothing to do with the product)
Megs is really laid back and chill and was very welcoming. Her business is in her house but she has a cute little space set up. She explained the different types of looks that we could achieve and was great in answering any questions that I had. Side note: she makes you lay down on a massage table… so the whole time she’s doing your lashes, you’re getting a nice little massage as well. It’s like a 2 for 1 deal LOL. I fell asleep– which she said is normal for her clients, but I can only hope that I wasn’t snoring or drooling the whole time.
The end product was amazing! It looks sooooooo good. Best of all… it’s weightless. It doesn’t feel like I have anything on… I seriously can’t believe I’ve waited this long to get them done… I’m hooked and already scheduled my fill. I believe her prices for fills are 2 weeks; $ 40 3 weeks: $ 50 and 4 weeks: $ 60. Anything past 4 weeks counts as a new set.
She gave me a card that shows how to care for your lashes and I also bought a sealant from her ($ 25) which she said will help to maintain my lashes. Everyone knows that extensions/​fills aren’t cheap– they definitely add up over time, so even though it’s another $ 25 for the sealant– I would recommend purchasing it… You’ve already shelled out the money for lashes, might as well shell out a little more to help with the longevity of them.

AH-​MAZ-​ING amazing amazing! If you are considering getting eyelash extensions at all, come to Megs. Quality and results are truly incredible and you cannot really beat the prices and the perks. Her studio in her home is cozy and comfortable, way better than sitting in a noisy salon. I trust Megs … professional, meticulous, knowledgeable, and friendly. I don’t even have to say what I want when I go in. I just let her do her thing and they always come out impeccable. Love love love my extensions! I’m so addicted and will keep seeing her to maintain this obsession :)

Meg was the first to put eyelash extensions on me, that was back in March and I havnt stopped… she is professional, clean, and comfortable. DID I MENTION SHE HAS THE BEST PRICES TOO, with groupon deals and other ways to save! She is easy to book with, always gets back to you, and she knows how to put on lashes properly, so I still have my natural lash and no clumps. Best eyelash extensions, highly recommend.

I was new to eyelash extensions and a quick search led me to The Body Bar. Megs was wonderful! I was very pleased with the pricing and the quality! I am very glad I decided to do it and The Body Bar was most definitely the right choice!

I would truly recommend this place for people who want to have a professional experience with no hesitations. Meg’s room was very comfortable and relaxing. I enjoyed the massage while I got my eyes done. Meg was great first time here she was very friendly and her work was awesome she took her time and didn’t rush. Relaxing atmosphere and it was easy to find. I did my lashes with fuisha color. First time to try color lashes love them.

I was truly lucky enough to find her through my Unilocal App, on «Deals» and honestly I wasn’t even planning on getting eyelash extensions, because GIRL we know I can’t afford it for the life of me.
I was seriously wondering, WHAT is The Body Bar? The name itself sounds inviting, does it not? So I figured, lets see what this place is about?
As I looked through her website, I found that her work and PRICE was beyond unbelievable. How can she do such miraculous effort for minimal price?
The average price for eyelash extensions, are $ 150+ but HER prices are average of $ 80 to $ 140 DEPENDING on the lash extensions you are looking for. Mind you she also gives Military Discount, Spouses included, Student Discount AND Unilocal (if mentioned) Discount! and she combined my discount! HELLO NEW LASHES!
I easily booked my appointment, on her website. I had to cancel my first appointment due to personal reasons, but I was also able to reschedule via her website too!
I was disappointed in myself that I had to wait another 2weeks I was too excited.
Honestly though, before I got my eyelash extensions. I did a FULL on research before I really wanted to get them.
I looked up Frequently asked Questions, and what to expect and what NOT to expect, and the DO’s and Don’ts of having them.
I did this because, for my own general health and safety its better to KNOW what your paying for and if it is worth it. I saw that some girls who didn’t do research are less likely to know how to make their lashes last longer and if it is the right fit FOR them.
Even if I didn’t know the FAQs, or DOs and Don’ts. Megs was very professional, accommodating, and most of all friendly. I felt as if I knew her for a long time, she was really easy going, and answered any questions that I might have.
I think the BEST part about this was the fact that the bed I had to lay in for 2hrs, is a MASSAGE BED. HELLLLLOH!
Yeah, not going to Lie. I knocked out hard, I was trying NOT to snore. That was inevitable. Oops. Another thing I like is she works from the comfort of her own home, but knowing she is Licensed and Certified that was all the better. Parking was easy too, and finding her place wasn’t difficult to find. Megs texted me prior the appointment and also the day before to make it more accommodating for you. She specializes in other things like Hair Cuts, other than eyelash extensions as well so that again is worth the visit!
Before she continued the procedure, she asked if I looked at any of her work (DUH! of course I did.) and if there was a specific one I was more interested in and see if it is suitable for my eyes. I wanted more a natural look, but with a flare cat eye like lashes! and that is exactly what I got. I was told I can get my lashes longer next time, which I will!
The length of time for the service was a good full 2hrs, but hey, I was sleeping on a massage bed! I had NOTHING to complain about. Also, after she completed my full set of lashes, my eyes started burning from the Fumes, which was normal but she had this water mist that did WONDERS to my eyes so they wouldn’t burn anymore, and it was also good for my skin. AMAZINGGGGG!
Afterwards, she asked me if I wanted to purchase this Black Diamond lash coating, that helps make your extensions last longer for $ 25, GET THEM. It is better to buy them now, instead of buying them cheaper online because your lashes will not wait for that.

I’m very picky about who I allow to do my hair, nails, etc. The same lady has been doing my eyebrows for the last 12 years so it was a HUGE step for me to try a new thing (eyelash extensions) with a total stranger.
Now I have to tell you-​it was the best decision ever! I am so happy I decided to come and see Meg. She is AMAZING at what she does and she is just a great person to be around. She is totally professional and made me feel very comfortable. Her studio is very clean and welcoming and I enjoy and look forward to going back for a fill every 3 weeks.
Oh yeah and my eyelashes look FABULOUS!
I like it so much there I’ve started going there to get my hair cut too :)

Just left Megs and OMG awesomeness! Yes, it’s not a word but that’s how great she is. I’m visiting from Texas and chose her because of the reviews. I am glad I did. She did my eyelash extensions and eyebrow wax n tweeze. I was a «virgin» to the extensions and wax and let me say… Excellent work and great personality! Wish I lived here so she could be my personal esthetician :-). THANK YOU!

I never tried this and was peer pressured lol. I was kinda shame but Meg is amazing all the way around. No problem booking appt, atmosphere was conducive to relaxation and comfort– she even asked me what type of music I like and offered the massage controller while doing my lashes. She offered to do my eyebrows after too. She was gentle and very informative– covered all bases as far as taking care of your lashes after and explained different options to retouch.
Most of all, I just thought she was very professional. Her work was excellent and done with a lot of care. She answered all the questions I had (and I ask a lot lol) patiently and in good spirits.
Would definitely recommend to anyone! I don’t think I’m coming back just cause This was one of those rare things I do lol. Check out her site, book appts there– plus: she offers different kinds of discounts so look at those too!

LOVE Megs and her work is flawless! Love how long my lashes (glam) have lasted too! Almost a month and still kicking, lol! I love her professionalism and will make sure to go back, I’ve referred friends and co workers to her too!
