H.E.R.O. is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing scholarships to those who wish to study martial arts or self defense. We also conduct community workshops and seminars to promote awareness and provide training for victims of violent crime, PTSD sufferers, those who have been bullied, seniors, veterans, and many other groups. We work with other organizations that we feel are heroes in our community and provide leadership training and mentorship to individuals and groups who choose to make a lasting contribution to others.
History
Established in 2009.
H.E.R.O. stands for Helping Everyone to Respect Others. We began by offering scholarships to the American Colleges of Mixed Martial Arts for students that had an interest or need for martial arts and self-defense training but were unable to afford the tuition. From there we began conducting Self Defense Workshops for colleges, churches, scouts groups, Mom’s clubs, and more. We have now expanded our mission to include promoting others who are doing great things in our community.

Business Owner
Master Rick Dye and Jennifer Dye own and operate the American Colleges of Mixed Martial Arts. They founded H.E.R.O. in an effort to bring their love of martial arts and knowledge of self defense to a larger audience. They believe that self defense training is a must for everyone, and that the benefits of self-confidence, greater awareness skills, improved concentration and self-control are paramount in leading a successful life. Master Rick Dye was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Martial Arts Science when he was inducted as Master of the Year by the U.S.A. Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2008. Jennifer Dye holds a 4th degree Black Belt in Aam-ka-jutsu and is an AFAA Certified Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor. Both are accomplished public speakers and instructors.
