Great dive shop and dive experience! The owner Jennifer is so friendly and helpful. The shop is well kept, good prices. If you are looking for new gear and go on a dive, they will make a suggestions let you test it out!
The dive was great! The crew made us all feel welcome and gave great instruction. George was our guide with Jay as a great captain. Erin and Chris (and the rest of the crew that, I am sorry, I forgot names of) were also fantastic!
We got a CD with photos, or you can get them drop boxed to you, and snacks in the shop at the end. Basically you feel at home at the end. Shower and toiletries for you too!

Excellent dive shop! Small inside, but they had all the amenities one needs. Boat is a flat bottom with a really nice rail system to get off into the water safely and board. The staff were very interactive and friendly and didn’t just see our group as average customers. Jen (shop owner), Bill (coxswain), and George (my guide) were especially helpful, relaxed, knowledgeable, and not arrogant (a big plus in my book).
I WILL dive again with this shop when I’m back down in Key Largo visiting my dad.

Sail fish scuba was awesome. My dad got certified and I got my fish identification specialty. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. George is the most knowledgeable person about fish I have ever met. Phil and Erica we both also great guides that went slowly so we could take our time seeing all of the sites on the trip. Everyone was awesome, 10 out of 10 would recommend.

My friend and I spent a day in Key Largo on our vacation. We wanted to find an activity that was fun, relaxing, and showed off what the Keys have to offer. We took the kayaking jungle tour through the mangroves. Our guide Billy was amazing! So knowledgeable, professional, and and made sure everyone on the tour had a fun time. I had never been kayaking before, but Billy immediately made me feel at ease and he took great pictures that we received the next day! Definitely recommend this shop for you diving and snorkeling needs.

My group took the mangrove jungle kayaking tour. It was a BLAST! Billy, our tour guide, was great, very accommodating, and very knowledgable. We even had a chance to go snorkeling, complete with included snorkeling gear and wet suits. We would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

My boyfriend brought me here for my 22^nd birthday and I loved it! We went kayaking and snorkeling! Erin was our guide and took a million photos for us and sent them to us as promised. The people at Sail Fish Scuba was very courteous and nice. This made my birthday an awesome experience!

I dove with Sail Fish Scuba for two days during my vacation in FL. Their staff went above and beyond my expectations to ensure that I had everything I needed to enjoy my dives. Specifically, my dive guide, Phil, was awesome! Phil was personable and knew the dive sites like a pro. On numerous occasions he pointed our coral formations and marine life that I would of otherwise swam right by. Phil also took 30+ awesome pictures during my dives and gave them to me for free! I highly recommending diving with Sail Fish Scuba when you visit Key Largo!

Phil was our dive guide. He’s an easy-​going fellow, and I’d recommend other staff as well, including George. They were attentive and keen on safety but didn’t hover. We had a great time.

Great operation run by highly experienced dive professionals. Jen in the shop provided superb personalized attention. She took the time to address all questions and concerns. The crew was just as excellent. Capt Ann, Instructor George, Dive Guide Akmedt, and DM Alicia were a great crew. Capt Ann knowledge of the area is unparalleled in the Upper Keys. Alicia will make a great instructor one day too. Personalized service without the hustle and bustle or larger dive shops. Boat was comfortable, clean, and well stocked. They make you feel like important customers, not simply a name on the manifest. As a dive professional, I’ve seen the bad and the good. Jen and Chris do a GREAT job!

There are numerous dive boats to choose from in Key Largo, Sail Fish Scuba is a top notch outfit and clearly puts safety first! We felt like pampered family the moment we got there. They unloaded our dive gear from the car, carried it down to the boat and set up all of our gear. Between dives they switched our tanks out and set our gear up again. The boat is not jammed full of divers and snorkelers tripping over each other, but rather with a small, easily managed group. They put a diver with a camera in the water with you. I have no doubt that Phil and George pointed out things that we would have missed. The photos that you receive at the end of your dive are actually of you and all of the things that were pointed out. This worked out well for us, as our GoPro wasn’t working.
In summary: Vacations are lifetime memories, why take any chances with safety and good times. Sail Fish Scuba will deliver both and give you a CD to remember!

So let me tell you about my experience. I went to Sail, Fish, Scuba for snorkeling. I’ve never been snorkeling before and I was very uneasy and a bit frightened because I am not an avid swimmer but I was glad to give it a try. I figured the instructors would take me step by step because I was told they take in newbies. Before you actually go on the boat they have you sit at a table and sign away your life while an instructor gives you a 5 min spiel about snorkeling and after that off you go! At that point you gear up (flippers, mask, wet suit, etc). I was concerned about the mouth piece on the mask because they reuse them and their way of sterilizing it is dumping it in fresh water. Not too pleasant when you’ve got someone else’s saliva in your mouth.
Anyway we get on the boat at this point the only instructions were watch out for jelly fish and the instructor Phil He’s showing us various hand signals indicating shark, turtle, yes, no, and some other signs. At this point there wasn’t anything technical like how the hell do I use this snorkeling mask or swim with flippers? Everything happened so quickly. The boat basically travels for about 30 mins to god knows where and then everyone lines up and hops into the water. Once I jumped into the water the instructor didn’t wait for me to get situated he instantly started leading the group away from the boat and here I am a newbie flailing my arms, confused and obviously looking like a lunatic. So the dear captain sees me struggling and decides to throw me a DAMN NOODLE and I have the instructor yelling at me, «PUT YOUR HEAD UNDER WATER, PUT YOUR HEAD UNDERWATER» he did that about 5x as I continued to shake my head! Quite frankly I felt attacked. I didn’t pay $ 100 for some dude with a muffin top and flippers to yell at me. I was not at all having it. He didn’t even try to help me or calm me down. He just kept yelling «PUT YOU HEAD UNDER WATER». FYI I did a couple of times but when there’s water in your goggles and waves are crashing In your face it’s not exactly that easy to dunk your head in the fucking ocean. I didn’t even have time to pull myself together like oh shit I’m 30ft above the ocean, free floating and I don’t know what the fuck I’m supposed to do. It was all too much. I was clearly panicking and hyperventilating and Phil keeps yelling at me to put my head under water. He didn’t even bother swim over to me, he just kept yelling at me like an angry dolphin from the abyss of the ocean. I signaled was going back to the boat and he said no! I was astonished. That’s it I’ve had enough, I swam back the best way I could and I tried going on board but the captain wasn’t having it either.
So If Phil is your instructor he won’t help you if you’re struggling he’s very pushy and quite frankly an asshole. I think Sail, fish, scuba could be a great place if they were more understanding of new comers or in my case, a serious newbie because not everyone gets it on their first try. But seriously this guy was very unaccommodating and highly unprofessional. Just because you can snorkel and swim like the little mermaid don’t make you a good instructor. He didn’t even bother helping me out.
Bottom line, if youre new to snorkeling I say give this place a big fat fuck no.

Had an amazing experience with Sail Fish Scuba. We had Chris as our guide who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, often taking extra effort to point out interesting wildlife to us during the dives. They also set up all the equipment for you which makes the dives really comfortable and easy. The group size was also perfect — not too many that the boat/​dive sites were overcrowded. Highly recommended!

Awesome dive guides and happy crew! They set everything up via phone and email, and then after I did my online classwork I was ready to just go in the water and get my advanced open water certification done. 6 perfect dives later I’m pretty much as advanced as they come! ;). Jen runs a good operation that is professional and organized. I love the happy feel of everyone. They take out seriously, but not to serious or obnoxious like some dive operations – this is RECREATIONAL diving after all. Thank you all! Thank you to my funny, wild, and helpful dive guide George! We will be back! Gotta dive the Spiegel Grove with Nitrox next time… And several times after that!

Sean was the best guide, very knowledgeable and adorable. He knew all the science behind all of our questions about animals, the seas, underwater life, etc. He was extremely attentive to all scuba-​ers in his care, keeping a close eye to make sure we were all safe, and having a good time. This kid has salt water in his veins and this is obviously his calling.
Getting photos of our day was icing on the cake.
Very jealous of all the employees who get to do this every day!

I booked a 3 hour Snorkel tour this passed week via Groupon. Unfortunately, on the day we booked it ended up being far too windy to hit the area they use for snorkeling. I was called well in advance when the most recent weather report had been updated and was offered to reschedule or have the trip changed to the mangrove jungle kayaking tour. We opted for this and I am very happy I did.
The staff were just great. The gear and trip was fully explained, and we were given options for wet suits and a tandem or solo Kayak.
Sean, our guide, was fantastic. He seemed legitimately happy to be there, explained about the area, and took many photos the entire time for our free photo disc. He made sure we were able to make it accross the windy bay to make it out to the mangroves and even thought to bring dry paper towels for my glasses. I really can’t say enough good things.
The trip itself was great. The mangroves blocked the wind so we had a warm and calm trip trough. Towards the end we were given the chance to do some shallow water snorkeling which my friend took advantage of. It was a work out getting across the bay back to where we had parked, but we were well rested before hand.
By the time we had changed and dried off our photos were ready to go. I do wish they had a place to rinse off that had warm water (the shower was outdoors and was essentially a garden house rigged to a shower head) but we were able to get cleaned off well enough.
I very much recommend Sail Fish Scuba for a trip. It was a good deal even before the Groupon and next time I’m down south I plan on trying to get into the main snorkeling trip.

I’m glad I found SailFish, and just in time. I had planned on doing a dive in Ft. Lauderdale but was talked into heading down to Key Largo instead the night before. I ended up calling Sailfish about five minutes before they closed and they told me there was one spot left the next day, so I booked it. I’m glad I did. Great service, great trip, great scenery, and they gave us photos of the dive for no additional charge. I’m a fan.

I had such an amazing experience diving with this company last weekend. I was in the area for vacation and heard about snorkeling trips they offered. Unfortunately, the snorkeling trip times did not match my schedule but I really wanted to do it with them. So I called and spoke to Jen to see if there is any change in schedule by any chance — she was extremely helpful and friendly. She said she would look into it and see if she can get some staff members to be there and got back to me the very next day.
We were so excited. She was extremely helpful when we went to check in and the whole crew was fabulous. We were the last minute additions in a scuba boat and they did everything to make things comfortable. Our guide, Shawn — their new intern was pretty helpful to us and other snorkelers. The team ensured we were safe and having fun every step of the way. I was so delighted to come off with great experience and amazing pics by Jen and Shawn.
Highly recommend them to anyone looking to snorkeling and scuba diving.

Such a fun day! We used Sail Fish for a snorkel trip on a Sunday. We booked a morning trip and had to be in Key Largo by 7:30 am. Driving from Ft Lauderdale this was a bit rough, but I’m glad we did it as our party of four were apparently the only ones interested in being up that early and ended up being the only ones on the tour. This company specializes in only small groups, but having only our group of four made it seem even more special.
When we first arrived the staff gave us some paperwork to fill out then went over the principles of snorkeling. I have been in the past, but they had some good advice and were very helpful to those in our party who hadn’t ever used a snorkel. We set off with George and Captain Chris for the Christ of the Abyss. The statue was really fun to look at, I only wish the story behind it was a little more fun than that it was just put there to attract divers. This area also had some really great fish activity, by far my favorite was the parrot fish, though I got some strange looks from George when I asked him what «the fish with the teal eyeliner» was called.
Next we hopped back on the boat and headed over to the north rocks area. Here there were more variety of coral and large schools of silver minnows. They were great to watch in formation when the thousands moved as one.
Our crew was so helpful and patient with us, we had a few brand new snorkelers and since I am apparently all fat I seem to do nothing but float, but George had some good advice to help me get down closer to view the coral. My experience snorkeling with Sail Fish has really made me consider my scuba certification. Sail Fish even offers a one day course! Plus they mentioned they will split it into two half days and do an afternoon and a morning, they really aim to please their customers… now I just need to work up the nerve to actually do it.
A little note, a friend of mine who was with us is prone to motion sickness and despite taking a seasickness medication a few hours prior ended up a little more than under the weather after the first hour or so. Chris informed us that the medication is best taken both the night before and the morning of the trip. I was a little surprised when she was sick as the water was calm and beautiful, so if you have had issues in the past, better to be safe and prepare as much as possible to make your day run smoothly.
