The Inn At Key West

Fist time in key west really enjoy or 5 days stay at these hotel, friendly staff all over the hotel, complementary drinks when you arrive, room are very clean and comfortable, we had a room with a pool view and it was awesome. There these hotel has the biggest pool in key west that was what attracts me to book these hotel.
Service was top level, everyone really friendly and helpful. They have a booth next to the front desk were we book all activities around key west no complaints really looking forward to our next trip to key would recommend these hotel to any friend or family member.

My boyfriend and I stayed here not too long ago. It was a last minute pick and it looked like a nice hotel so we decided to give it a go. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. The woman at the front was very nice as well. We only stayed one day and spent it the whole time at the pool but unfortunately we didn’t have the best time. When we went to the bar to order drinks, the bartender was extremely rude and it took her like 15 mins to attend us not because there were a lot of people. It was just us and another guy to our left. She was flirting and laughing with the guy instead of attending us. Finally she attended us and asked for our IDs. What bothered us the most is that every time we went up to ask for drinks, she would ask us for our IDs and of course we didn’t have it on us because after many times of going up she definitely knew who we were and yet she still made us walk back and forth to get them. Not only was that an inconvenience but she was also extremely rude and was not attentive at all. To top it off, the drinks basically tasted like water. All the money we spent on drinks (because they’re obviously expensive) and they tasted like nothing. All we were doing was trying to enjoy a nice day at the pool and it was very disappointing that we couldn’t even enjoy that. I feel like if you’re going to promote your resort and pool so much it should be a priority that the service is great too. What a shame.

The hotel satisfied our needs very well. Clean rooms. Awesome shower. Sweet pool with a bar. Away from hustle and bustle, but only a five minute ride to down town. Very decent price. Stayed two nights.

Place is old we are currently staying here won’t recommend. AC doesn’t cool entire room, bums/​homeless asking us for cigarettes, roaches in room breakfast buffet over priced for egg beaters. I travel 3 times a week on business won’t recommend to an enemy

Decent/​nice hotel with a handful of kinks.
Upon arrival, we immediately noticed that this was a very cute/​quaint hotel. It’s truly lovely and gives off that «relaxing» Keys vibe. It’s small and that’s a good thing, because it keeps it quiet. The lobby is really nice and check-​in was a breeze.
When we walked into the room, it was pretty standard. Seemed clean and comfortable and worked just fine for us. We enjoyed it for the most part.
The pool area was nice and relaxing, and sometimes you’ll catch an iguana just hanging out, which is pretty cool.
Lots of parking; we easily got parking right in front of our room!
Now, for the kinks:
— Water in the lobby was ALWAYS empty. Every single time.
— Some lamps in the room didn’t work and remote control for TV didn’t work either, from the get-​go. We didn’t complain, but it would be nice if everything’s functionality was verified before someone checks-​in.
— They have nice picnic tables on the side, but instead of napkins or paper towels, they had boxes of tissues. Pretty cheesy. It’s little details like that that separate the good hotels from the great ones.
— Trash for the picnic area was overflowing.
— Walls are thin, we were easily awakened by our neighbors. Also, if your neighbor is using a certain «substance», be prepared for that smell to overwhelm your room in an instant.
— AC units are very loud
Overall, it’s a good hotel but not a really great one. But we were happy with our stay. With a little upgrading, I definitely think it would be great!

There was an awful smell that hit me so hard when I entered the room that I immediately ran out and didn’t want to re-​enter. The front desk sends a maintenance guy with a can of de-​odorizer. It helps a little, but honestly, the musty, moldy smell was so deep in the carpet they’d have to remove the whole carpet to get rid of the smell. the front desk said they must keep the building as original as when they opened, but honestly, the smell was unbearable and unacceptable for such an expensive hotel.
Pros: free rum drink ticket upon arrival, wildlife at the resort (iguanas and roosters), plenty of parking
Cons: literally no pressure on the shower head, toilet only half flushes, there were some disgusting dead worm things on the patio they could have swept before giving us the room, $ 15 cab ride to the city each time we went out (no lyft, or über), not really walking distance to anything interesting

I checked in at 1 and the room was ready. The front desk staff was courteous. I was provided with two free drinks. Not bad. Free wifi. Nice pool. The food at the pool took a little longer than expected to be served though. Other than that good place to stay and relax for a weekend

A nice choice for a Key West getaway.
This hotel is nestled behind a forest of palm trees, just a few hundred feet from the ocean. While there’s no beach, The Inn boasts a huge pool on site. You’ll find this hotel to be a moderately priced, mid-​grade luxury hotel with an excellent staff. The rooms are clean and some have a balcony with a view of the Gulf.
The tiki bar was outstanding on a Sunday night. Two free drinks were given with this stay, but the friendly bartender, who kept the bar open late, turned that into three. Some of us stayed in the pool and hot tub past closing and no one minded. It was a very peaceful experience.
The room itself was comfortable, except for one thing. I was disappointed that there was no hot water in the shower. It only got lukewarm, but that’s better than an ice cold shower. I still expected more given the price paid.
Overall, The Inn at Key West is still a fine place to stay in Key West.

After my original hotel planned for my trip to key west was fully booked, my options ran low. I thought I was settling for a lower quality hotel until I checked in. I opened the room to see clean and made up queen sized beds which was what I requested. The room was clean, the beds were really comfortable, the bathroom was nice. My only two complaints are that they needed fix the door where it was hard to push open and closed, and the shower was a little more complicated to use than normal. I don’t know why it needed to be different from every other shower I used, but it took me a minute to figure out how to turn hot to cold. Other than that, it’s everything you could want from a hotel. Clean, quiet and relaxed.

Very upset with paying 350 a night at a Noble House property for this room. The room reeked of mildew, the phone never worked for the 3 days we were there and we reported it and they never fixed it, none of the amenities in the room were ever restocked daily when the maid came in, (cups, coffee), the rug was so dirty that when I walked on it after a shower my feet were black, I was sent all the way to the bar when I asked for a bottle opener to open a soda, truly terrible. I find it crazy to believe this is the same chain that owns Little Palm Island here in Key West. I would never stay here again.

We are currently staying here. And so far this place has been amazing! The rooms are great, the atmosphere is awesome… Everyone we’ve meet at the tiki lounge has been really cool. But what has made this trip a five star rating is the bartender Zach at the tiki bar. He’s great! Made our trip to Key West one to never forget

There was always a dingy smell around the whole place. It’s definitely not a luxury hotel but probably one of the more fairly priced locations in this touristy town. The staff are friendly and overall created a good atmosphere.
You get two free drinks at the bar with your stay, which is right by the pool. The bartender was really friendly and engaged in conversation with us. The pool area is also really nice, but we didn’t get a chance to enjoy it much because we were out exploring the town.
The location of the inn is a little far from the key attractions and any good restaurants. Overall, decent experience. Nothing bad, but nothing special either.

We have stayed at the Inn since the early 90’s through several owners and we were married there by the pool in 2012 with 30 of our closest friends and family from NC. We have seen a few ups and downs in the hotel and the staff quality over the many years. Our most recent stay was last week for 4 days. We arrived to find that the hotel is under new ownership. We noticed right away that the dark wood trim and beautiful ceiling fans in the lobby that everyone commented on had been whitewashed and the fans totally removed to leave a barren open space. The pool and vegetation areas are still the high points of the hotel and was largely the same as it has been. However, the once vibrant and well run tiki bar was vacant and we heard from previous patrons that the once delicious frozen drinks are no longer available. The breakfast buffet is just adequate for $ 10 or so but nothing to remark about. The staff in general, with the exception of Michael Carmon, was fairly unprofessional and not as inviting as you might expect from a hotel in this area, but I guess you get what you pay for at ~$ 250/​night (compared to the more expensive hotels in the area). The rooms are getting very ‘tired’ and really showing their age. Bathrooms are getting a little ‘creepy’ and the fixtures wobbly. We heard from some staffers that a renovation may be underway but some seemed unaware of it so who knows if it’s the case. We hate to see the hotel get so run down as we have always liked the location away from the Duval street craziness and it certainly has sentimental appeal for us. We will certainly check out the reviews before coming back as there are other similarly priced options in the area. Hope they read this review and do something.
By the way, most of the pictures on the website are from many years ago. Note the beautiful lobby area in the pictures… looks nothing like that now.

The Inn is ok. But nothing more. The worst that we find was the mold smell at the room. Also we were surprised when they took 25 dollars resort fee. Im sorry but pool
Is not a resort:)))) but anyway we had nice night swimming in hot jaccuzy. The breakfast is not included. I think its better to find some little «home style» hotels (for example in truman ave) to live during vacation in Key West.

Only stayed for 1 night as we were on a tight schedule from visiting out of state. However, the place was beautiful! We wanted to stay longer! Excellent reception staff, checking in and checking out was very easy. We did wait a few minutes to check in, as there was only 1 receptionist working, but her friendly personality made up for the wait! Bar staff extremely nice! And the pool was beautiful!!! Decently priced for a 2 bed room!
My only complaint of the entire stay was, I had no service in our room, and when I went to use the «free wifi» it barely worked. Upon checking out, we were just curious as to what the hotel fees were for and she had listed free wifi as a part of the fee! I paid money in the fee to get something that didn’t work! Please fix!
We will most certainly return on our next trip to key west! Thank you!!!

For this year’s birthday trip, the hubby surprised my with a trip down to Key West. We flew the red eye in and because of a kid behind us who refused to sleep, neither did we. Absolutely exhausted from getting up at 4am the day earlier to go to work, we drove from Miami down the Keys. This was kind of a dumb move on our part.
We arrived around 10am and the girls at the front desk were INCREDIBLE enough to let us check in immediately. I cannot state how wonderful it was to get a free room upgrade and be able to go to sleep for a couple of hours in a super comfy bed as soon as we got to town. Please, someone give these girls a raise!
The hotel itself is very nice. The pool area is awesome for a lounging around kind of day. The bartenders at the little pool bar rock! We had the fish tacos one day and were blown away. SO GOOD! Being it my birthday, our bartender checked on us in the pool frequently and made my day a little bit more special with his kind words and great drinks.
Our room was very spacious and clean. We even had this cute little enclosed patio with lounge chairs. My only wish would have been for a bathtub.
The hotel itself is quite a distance from the action… about $ 15 – 20 each way in a cab. Driving would have been fine, except we were drinking and even if we weren’t, parking around Duval is kind of limited.
The ocean is right across the street. Beautiful views. Also, you can walk to numerous stores to pick up food and drinks.
Given the distance from the areas we wanted to be in, I might think twice about staying here again. That being said, we had a wonderful time and our hosts at the Inn were superb.

I enjoyed my stay here and the staff handled our initial complaints very well. The hotel is at the northeast end of the island so you will have to catch a trolley or taxi to travel to the main strip on the west end of Key West.
The hotel boasts an ocean view but if you are on the first floor you will more likely have a view of the cars parked in the lot. When we were there some construction additionally blocked the view, but that is not the hotel’s fault. The rooms have good sized TVs with plenty of sports and news channels to inform yourself of what’s going on outside the island paradise of Key West.
Out first room was on the first floor but had a strong mildew smell coming from the air conditioner. They also forgot the champagne package my wife had ordered! We had to stay in the room for the first night but were given a better room on the second floor for the rest of our stay and got the proper honeymoon welcome. Outside of the issue with the first room, the rooms were very clean.
There is a large outdoor pool in the middle of the hotel with some nice shady spots to stay out of the sun. There is a tiki bar nearby that sells the usual island refreshments. You can also find flavored water in the lobby at all times, like water with slices of cucumber or orange in it. You can also buy excursion tickets in the lobby.
If you don’t want to travel far, you can charge meals from the Hemingway Café to your room. That’s great and all, but you should explore the island!
If you don’t mind traveling across the island, or just want to stay away from the action, I would definitely recommend the Inn at Key West. If you expect to keep heading over to Duval Street you may want to check out something closer as the traveling adds up. Either way you should enjoy the island just fine.

After reading previous Unilocal,I am surprised by the negative comments. I am thinking, there was issues and this place remodeled or upgraded or took those negative issues and made some changes.
With that said, I am very pleased with this hotel. They first roomed us in a room by the parking lot. Hubby was not feeling that, and they changed our room to an inside room with no problem.
The bartenders have all been super cool and accommodating. The hotel gives you a free drink coupon… well, we learned that only pertains to well drinks. I wanted Bombay gin. Bartender said he could hook us up and he did. Very cool dude.
I can see how some people complained about the pool area being too busy. I can see it happening, but both times I went down to the pool I had no problem getting a decent seat. The service outside was attentive and nice.
And as far as the rooms, they are clean. What else could you ask for? I have no problem coming back here the next time I visit Key West

Trying hard to be a nice hotel in a remote location of the island.
Positives — beautiful pool area and tranquil caprock waterfall. (one of the few that is well done) Well done pruning to the tropical trees. Someone has a good eye and cares about their effort. (Often over looked touch) excellent bedding and well decorated (albeit slight over) rooms. There is a «monkey climbing palm trees» theme that hardens to the British East India Company of 18 & 19 century.
Negatives — (sigh) — no elevators for ADA access. Traveling with Mom and G’ma who both have moderate disabilities. Mom booked the rooms and indicated needs. Both rooms are on the 2^nd floor. Funny thing about ADA rules. There not important until you watch someone you love struggle. As a firefighter, the thought of how to evacuate is never far either. Dad, usually a tough guy is also struggling a bit post a minor surgery. TMI? — just make something mildly difficult much more.
The hotel has an attached but separate café. Just «maxwell house» coffee in the room and $ 2.65 at the café. (Free refills)

I ended up getting this hotel through a Hotwire bid. For some reason ALL the hotels for the dates I was seeking (non weekend) were sort of crazy expensive compared to other times we’ve stayed in Key West.
It didn’t matter what source I used, all the hotels in the city during this time seemed a little out there in outer space as far as pricing went but that is when we were going so we went with it.
Despite the price we paid this hotel to me lives of to he Hotwire ranking which was listed at 3.5*. While we didn’t exactly use all the amenities of the hotel the most important part that being the room worked out fine.
We had a room with 2 queen beds for 4 people. The room was of an ok size on the ground floor. The bathroom had an armoire type closet with shelves where the iron and board, hair dryer, hangers and safe were.
The first issue we had was with the safe. It was locked when we went to use it. I had called the front desk and the maintenance people were gone for the day. It was about 8pm. It wasn’t really an emergency so we just dealt with it until the next morning when the issue was corrected.
Another issue seemed to be the shower valve. Ours was weird in such a way where it just kept turning with no real stop position. 12 o’clock was off and around 6 o’clock was warm to hot. You’d have to play around with it to figure it out where you should put it and getting it in the right position to turn off properly took some practice.
The beds were comfortable and each bed had 4 large pillows. The TV was facing one side of the room as it was pretty flush to the wall. There wasn’t an articulating mount so I couldn’t pull it off the wall slightly so the other bed could see it better.
The AC had what seemed to be controls on the unit itself but there was also a thermostat. The AC unit seemed like it could be manually controlled despite the thermostat so we just adjusted it to suit us.
The location of this hotel is not far from the exit to the island back to the main highway off of Key West on the north east side of the island. While it’s not close to the main strip it’s not far of a drive and is not far from the larger shopping stores in the area should you need them (Publix, Walgreens).
The Inn At Key West did charge a 15 dollar a day «resort fee» which was explained on the key folder for the internet, parking and some other service I can’t remember.
Well in the Hotwire listing it said that the hotel had «free parking» as this is one of the amenities I had checked off in the filter. This resort fee sort of counters that claim doesn’t it? Also I understand that some hotels charge for internet but others it is included. This so called resort fee just seems like a income generator. Usually Hotwire will say there is a resort fee for «Blind bids». This time I don’t remember seeing it on the listing.
Either way despite all these little issues, I still enjoyed my stay at this place. Their pool and landscaping really is the hallmark of this establishment.
When I return to Key West and perhaps if I was to get this hotel again in a Hotwire bid I wouldn’t be disappointed.

Nous sommes allés à cet hôtel, très bon accueil, chambre super propre, très confortable. On aurait pensé être dans les îles tellement la piscine est entouré de palmiers et d’arbres. Beaucoup d’ombres et il y a du sable à certains endroits. Petit bémol, le menu déjeuner laisse à désirer.

Das Hotel befindet sich direkt an der Hauptstraße in einem Indurstriegebiet. Vom Straßenlärm her nicht schlimm aber die Lage ist wirklich wenig ansprechend.
Das Zimmer war nicht sehr groß und das Bad sehr klein. Im Zimmer selber dominierten zwei plüschige Betten, sonst war nicht mehr viel Platz. Am schlimmsten fand ich jedoch dass kein Fenster zum Öffnen vorhanden war. Die Fenster lagen direkt an der umherlaufenden Galerie, von der aus alle Bewohner zu Ihren Zimmern gelangen.
Die Klimanalge war sehr laut.
Das Parken am Hotel war kostenlos.
Die Poolanlage war sehr schön angelegt, die kostenfreien Handtücher jedoch häufig nicht sauber.
Man benötigt auf jeden Fall ein Auto um ins Zentrum von Key-​West zu kommen. Dort werden fast überall Parkgebühren (jedoch nicht in astronomischen Höhen) erhoben.
Key-​West und ein Hotel im Zentrum oder am Strand sind auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen. In das Hotel werden wir niemals wieder buchen.

Zimmer sind schön, und alt afrikanisch eingerichtet.
Klimaanlage ist vorhanden und kühlt gut runter.
Der Pool ist super und schön gross.
Leider ist das Hotel nicht am Strand und Nightlife. daher nur 4 Sterne!
PS: von 4 7 PM ist Happy Hour an der Poolbar ;)
