A little pizza shop inside the«stop and shop mall» that serves all the expected dishes plus many more; basically any typical Italian-american fare. We usually hit this place for the Tuesday carryout special: a large cheese pie for $ 6.95 and try something else while we are at it. The regular pizzas are as good as any typical NJ pizza, which means that they are great. They have a bunch of fancy topping slices at the counter as well as a bunch of other things that look great(incl rice balls, fried eggplant stacks with fresh mozz in between each). I have yet to try most. The people there have always been friendly and courteous. There’s not much room for dine-in and the atmosphere is more food court than restaurant, but still acceptable. Prices are generally typical for the area. They could use a website, or even any online presence, so that i could see the menu before ordering; it might encourage me to try something new. I’ve seen them treat their neighbors at the grocery store well too, which is nice to see.

I couldn’t find this place at all outside because there are no signs on the building itself, I stumbled upon it inside the building lol. This place is located INSIDE the Pathmark(soon-to-be Stop & Shop). The only visible sign distinguishing this unassuming pizzeria inside this building is literally a sign hanging from the ceiling. Oh and the wafting smell of pizza. But I walk in and the food looks FRESH. Once I got to the counter, the gentleman behind the counter came up & greeted me immediately and politely inquired to my order. I think he was the owner, so I’ll call him the owner. He was extremely pleasant to interact with, he was always smiling and soft-spoken. I liked him as soon as I met him. Anywho, I asked him what’s the best dish there, he directed me to the fresh cheesesteak he made, I opted out because of my dietary restriction(zabihah halal-only yo) and so he pointed at the penne pizza. It looked glorious. So I ordered a slice. Best decision ever. Didn’t even need condiments. The slices are HUGE too. You’ll enjoy the pizza here.

Not sure where the complainers are coming from, I have never gotten bad pizza from here. Now after being diagnosed as Celiac I got a new surprise in the fact they carry a gluten free crust and it is THEBEST crust I have had in the 4yrs since being diagnosed as Celiac. The owner was pleasant and the pizza was definitely still as good as I remembered. My wife had a slice of sausage and a slice of white and was not disappointed either. This will definitely remain a stopping point when visiting family and friends in the future.

Delicious BBQ chicken and chicken parm pizza, my chicken caesar wrap was one of the best I’ve had from any local Italian place. Everything was reasonably priced too. Definitely recommend this if you’re in the neighborhood!

This place use to be great. However, over the last 6 months or so, they have become inconsistent. They seem to be «churning» their cooks. One day, pizza is great, the next it is delivered burned. What cook sends out severely over cooked(burned on one side) pizza? Veal parm dinner ranges from great with a good sized portion to over cooked(totally dry) with a tiny portion. Also, sometimes phoning in an order is an adventure as it is clear they don’t adequately train their help. Hope they get their act together or they will meet the same fate as the prior owners!

Great grandma pie! We buy their dough raw to make our own pies at home. This place is worth it if your in the area.

Beware of the Bait and Switch! SIgn outside advertises $ 7.99 pies sun-thursay. No notes about delivery or takeout. When the delivery was made they charged full price. Called the owner and when confronted he said that he doesn’t care what the sign says, pies are full price. Will never order from here again and will tell all the other people in town about my experience.

Do NOT waist your money on the pasta dishes. We got the penne with vodka sauce and it was dreadful. Absolutely no taste, the chicken we ordered with the pasta was the same. They probably cut it and throw it in the pan without a pinch of salt or pepper. We also got the chicken parmigiana. The tomato sauce looked like tomato pure from the can. I wander sometimes how places like this stay in business?!?

Delicious food and friendly staff. Not only do we order pizza and other dinners we use there raw pizza dough for grilling pizza at home and it’s fantastic.

4.5…didnt know this place existed but I’m glad I do now. They have lots of creative specialty slices here, which is awesome. I had a slice of green pepper, onion and hot dog pizza which was excellent. That was a first for me… I think there were at least 1 and a half dogs on the slice! The other slice I had was chicken parm, which was solid. I’d like to go back and try the honey mustard chicken slice, which the guy told me was one of his best sellers. It sounded like a slice I would appreciate a lot more if I had a few drinks in me, plus I didnt think I could handle that along with a slice of the hotdog pizza. The weird thing about this place(to me) is that its basically inside the pathmark. I’ve never sat at a pizzeria while staring at line of supermarket checkouts. I live in Denville but will gladly take the woodsy, scenic route through boonton and kinnelon again to this place.

Unfortunately this place looks like it should be in the old Bergen Mall(remember the Village Mall anyone?) or a boardwalk stand in Seaside. Nothing memorable, although I do give the latest owners credit for trying. I believe this place is now called Kinnelon Pizza and is on the fourth owners in about 5 years. This«mall» simply does not get enough traffic and with an inundation of pizza joints in this area, it is an uphill battle.
