I’ve been going here each time since the last two years but this time I got Frank. He is terrible. Not sure how this guy claims to be a barber for so many decades. Didn’t even know how to even out a cut and get straight lines in the back. I had to go to another place to get my haircut fixed, and this in spite of me being too conscious. Absolutely worst hair cut I’ve had.

Awesome place. This is the kind of place real men need. This is a real man’s barber shop. Paul cut my hair and did an excellent job. Plus he used a strait razor on my neckline which makes for a very sharp looking haircut. These guys do the hot towel shaves which I am intending to go back in and try. Highly recommend.

A rainy day and I’m visiting from out of town and in need of a trim and hoping for a proper barber experience, quick, neat, and a straight edge cleanup of my neck. Paul really took care of me but I could tell it is his modus operandi. Good barbers are hard to find but you lucky people of Kirkland have this one.

Excellent haircuts every time, great prices, and while you are in Kirkland you can see a Hawks game at one of the great bars.

This barber shop has gone waaaay down hill since the woman owner moved to Montana and the dark haired woman left for Bellevue. It’s dirtier, trashier and no longer has that fun vibe and energy. I went here for about 4 years and had hoped it was going to be around for awhile.

I get a very traditional haircut. Shaven on the sides, with a hard part from which I slick my hair back and to the side.
Upon sitting down I told the German woman that I wanted the side faded from a «0» — «1» and the top to be left alone, that it would only need a cleanup of the ends.
Seeing that my previous cut had been less than a month ago it’s also pretty obvious what I get.
The woman shaved the side of my head, however it is not a fade. Very disappointing.
After she attempted to fade my hair she began to part my hair at the hard part. She then in a flash cut the hairs that I come over from over 4 inches long to less than an inch.
Due to the genetic makeup of my hair if the hairs are less than 3 inches long they won’t hold their place with the pomade so now when I slick my hair over there is a hard part and an awkward half inch mow hawk that stands up and won’t go down.
It will take me THREE MONTHS to grow my hair back so I can start styling it the same way I’ve been styling my hair for over a year.
Flaws:
–Didn’t know how to fade hair
–Seemed rushed
–Chopped off the one section of hair that I explicitly said not to touch, ruining my style
Overall a very disappointing experience.
This is a nice looking barber shop and the gentleman I dealt with after seemed very nice.
The one positive note is that he camped my hair cut, not that I would have paid if they had asked.
Today I would have been better off going to Great Clips.
I wanted a touch of class, instead I got an awkward mow hawk looking haircut that wont lay flat.

Let me start by saying that I think a great haircut is one of the tougher things to find for most people, at least that’s what I thought until I came here for the first time. Ranae at A Touch of Class helped me find a haircut that fits my hair behavior and face shape naturally! I haven’t gone anywhere else in over a year! I highly recommend you try out the barbering experience here.

I’ll tell you why you need to get your hair cut at A Touch of Class Barbers:
1. Price. The price turns out to be the same as a cookie-​cutter, strip-​mall haircut-​in-​a-​box shop. Except you get way more. From just a «# of services to price» standpoint, you get a high quality and personalized haircut, and hot foam straight razor shave on your neckline for $ 20 (which feels great). A haircut at a chain barber will run you close to $ 20 anyways, but they can’t do the hot foam or straight razor. No shampoo included in the $ 20 cut, but do you really need to pay $ 8 for someone to shampoo your hair for a haircut when you just shampooed it that morning? Also, it wasn’t like a salon where it takes an hour to do something that shouldn’t take an hour. Since I had an appointment, I walked in, shook Paul’s hand, sat in the chair, and within 30 minutes I was paying and on my way out. Don’t take this as impersonal, they’re just conscious of your time, and the 30 minutes were enjoyable. Read on:
2. People. I had never been to a traditional barber before I decided to take a chance on A Touch of Class. Paul answered the phone, was friendly, and we booked my appointment that day. I showed up 5 minutes late, and Paul was still warm and inviting and ready to focus his attention on my hair cut. We made small talk, talked about the shop and his philosophy on cutting hair and how to run a barber shop that is people focused. Not just typical small talk about my occupation, where I live, etc. We talked about topics that make you think you’re having a beer with an old friend. And of course, the jokes and banter mixed in.
3. The Shop. The crew at A Touch of Class take their craft seriously, and with that they take their customers seriously. They’ve created a unique shop environment where you can feel comfortable with not only the barbers but the other customers in the shop. The shop has all the creature comforts you love (big leather chairs, TV, artwork on the walls, magazines you’ll actually read instead of tabloids and Mom’s Weekly), with a nice modern touch. And the classic chairs are incredibly comfy.

This was by far the worst place to get a haircut. He did not understand what I wanted and cut off way to much and kept trying to tell me what he thought would look good. I just wanted an even 2 in trim all around. What I got was spur short back and sides with much longer on the top. Looks fucking ridiculous. I had to resort to buying my own trimmer and just shaving it all to one even length. Worst experience and haircut of my life.

I had good experience getting haircut. Customer service and haircut quality were outstanding. I would definetly recommend this anyone who wants good hair cut for your buck.

Got my second Head Shave and first Hot Towel Face Shave from Ranae. I’ve been shaving my head for years and Ranae is only the second person I have let shave it for me and she did an excellent job both times. The Face Shave was great as well.
I think all men should have a professional shave with a straight razor at least once. If you haven’t excerienced it you should set up an appointment. This is an art from that could die out and it would be a shame.

I come to Touch of Class once a month for a hair cut and a straight razor shave.
I have been going to Peter; he does the job right and does quality work.
Every time I go in I leave feeling better and looking good; I have not been disappointed yet.
As long as I live in the area I will be going to Peter for my hair care needs.

Having seen the sign that says that they offer hot towel shaves for several months, I finally made a trip to have a shave.
Managed to come in during a slow period (apparently appointments are highly recommended) and was promptly seated with Ranae.
She did a great job considering I had almost a full week of growth … and more impressive is that she did it in 30 minutes compared to 45 minutes or more at other barbers.
Service is great, Ranae and the other barber are very friendly and have a nice relaxing place.
Only downside is parking, but not their fault so not going to ding them for this.
Now for those of you who enjoy a hot towel facial shave, there is only two other locations I have found on the Eastside (all of the others have gone out of business), neither of which I am very pleased with since they charge twice as much as TOCB and frankly do a less than desirable job (the one in Kirkland is probably the worst since they slather on cold shaving products after the hot towel is removed, leading to skin irritation)
I highly recommend TOCB, plus you can schedule your appointment online ²⁴⁄₇ rather than having to call them.

I scoped this place out on my way to another appointment. My boyfriend needed a real barber, because I was sick of the cost of the cheaper places, and I think he deserves the best.
This place has great, friendly service. Even though I don’t get my hair done here, I’m very happy with my boyfriend’s cut, and the attentiveness that the barber gives us.

In need for a major cut, I stopped in. I thought though it was a barber shop, the way my hair would be cut the same as I received at another Barber shop in the area. I will say in the end it turned out OK but I was not impressed with the «chair-​side» manner of my Barber.
From when I walked in, I could tell that they are trying to cater to guys. Lots of leather chairs, nice size TV… felt like a good place. My Barber and I’m sorry I don’t remember her name (not Perri) sat me down and started cutting. I started to ask her questions about how she is doing it since it was so different then any haircut in the last 25 years. She informed me that she had only been cutting for about a year, that barbers cut with comb and scissors and dry. She just seemed annoyed that I was questioning her technique though I am the one that has to either get it fixed or walk around with a bad cut.
For the price, it is a decent enough cut. I can see that it is not even in spots but I can live with it. With plenty of other shops in Kirkland, I probably won’t be back here.
