Fred Meyer Jewelers

Went back shortly after that last review to show them what happened and they didn’t care and said there was nothing they could do. Don’t go here if you like your jewelry. Mine was custom and now has to be fixed.

I’ve been wanting to get one of my watches adjusted for the longest time now. My fat wrist is now a normal sized wrist so the band on my watch was far too big it felt like I was a 5 year old trying on his dad’s watch. Since I’ve spent good money on the watch I figured why not! After having a weird experience with the Bellevue fredmeyer jewelers, a very rushed phone call. I guess since the woman who works for commission answered and realized that I was going for an adjustment and she couldn’t get any money from me she quickly pushed me off the phone and hung up before I could even get half my questions answered. So I decided to just drive to the Kirkland location and give it a whirl. The man behind the repair counter was very knowledgable and friendly. I probably waited maybe 5 minutes before we tested the first adjustment. After the third adjustment and following his advice I walked away a happy camper. I get to enjoy my watch now for just a few dollars! Also he closed down his counter for the car but since I had no cash he opened it back up for me. He also adjusted my watch to the proper time. Wish I could get his name! I’ll return here with my arsenal of watches when and if they break.

We went to Kirkland Fred Meyer jewelry department and Rafael at the watch department was just great. He helped me fix my antique watch and was very professional and quick. Other watchmakers could not repair it for me and wanted to charge a large amount of money for it but Rafael charged a quarter of a price with amazing results. I’ve been using my watch for a year now and it’s working great. Thank you so much and I will be back!!!

I had a necklace that Fred Meyer Jewelers was having difficulty fixing (apparently a design flaw — not the repairist’s fault). I had gotten to the point where I was going to give up and resign to the fact that I had a broken necklace, and that no one could help me. After talking to upper management, however, the store’s assistant manager called me and went out of her way to make everything right. Great customer service!

First off, my cell phone sets off the alarm everytime I walk in. this doesnt happen anywhere else for me. You? Today at the garden center the cashier didn’t even put my purchase in a bag, when I asked for one he ignored me and started ringing up the next person .they always have terrible customer service. I’m almost convinced that every person living in Kirkland is stuck up, judgemental and ignorant of diversity.

Are you getting married? Would you like your bride to be as frustrated as I am right now? Right… Who on earth would want that? Fred Meyer jeweler in Kirkland didn’t really seem to mind!
We got married July 12^th. Prior to the wedding, my Husband bought a ring that needed to be sent to the manufacturer for sizing. Since the jewelers could not guarantee that the ring would be back in time for the wedding, they instructed my Husband to wear the ring at the wedding and bring it in right after so they could send off. Fast forward a month (4 weeks). We were married about a month ago… We have been waiting for the ring. I called 2 times over the last week to see if they had heard anything. Both times I was asked to call back later because they «were not sure». (Great answer for someone that gets paid commission-​idiots)
My Husband finally received a phone call saying that the manufacturer went out of business so his ring hadn’t been sized and there was nothing they could do.
You can only guess how happy I am that the ring we were talked into buying and we loved will not be on my Husbands finger for the first month of marriage OR our honeymoon… That we have to go in the store and pick a «2^nd choice». They waited the WHOLE 4 weeks to tell us they couldn’t size the ring. That’s absolute BS.
So I called the store. I wanted to know how they possibly think it’s excusable to let this happen. Felt like I was talking to myself. I had been told that when he came in, he would receive 40% off any ring that is not on sale plus an additional 20% off. So my Husband went into the store that day. Turns out-​Manager John was just advertising the normal Fred Meyer Friends and Family discount. Trying to make me feel like we will be taken care of. He lied anyway. It was 10% off… Not 20%. not that it matters anymore… but know what your selling-​duh!
Remember the ring we have was purchased with the Fred Meyer Jewelry lifetime warranty package that I already paid for.
My Husband left the store without a ring. Every ring he liked, the manager talked down… Like– You don’t want Silver… You shouldn’t go with that one… that one will scratch. So basically everything he liked, in his price range was not good enough for the staff there. When he found a ring he was OK with, the manager tried to up-​sell him on the warranty (the warranty we already have).
My Husband stood up and asked for his money back…
The Manager then replied «So you’re not gonna wear a wedding ring?»
*OK people. Do they seem trustworthy enough to even go through another 4 week process with? Not to mention, they got commission on the first sale and now they are wheeling and dealing to get a second commission? He should have been doing everything he could to make sure my Husband left a with a ring that he liked, that he could afford and feel good about. They bait and switch… When my husband wanted to be refunded so he could get money back and go else where, the Manager would not process the return because the card I purchased the ring with has to be present.
So my Husband still doesn’t have a ring one month after our wedding, wont have a ring for our honeymoon and we have to go elsewhere to pay ALL over again when we should be packing for our trip.
Thanks Fred Meyer Jeweler. I appreciate the fail…
Thanks for ruining what was supposed to be a fun, special memory for us! I am happy to be going to get my refund tonight and work with someone I can trust.
Found the perfect ring at JC Penney and based on what we had been through, they gave us a discount at the register JUST to make our day better. Wish we would have gone there in the first place. Better deals, more selection, well educated sales staff.

Aweful, terrible customer service… Yuck.
I’ve never seen such blatant bait & switch… And without going too far into it, they messed up, and rather than fixing it, they simply offered me the coupon they were already giving to everyone. Their mistake cost me money, and all they wanted was more money…
Shame on them.

My dear friend got a pretty piece of jewelry as a gift from her boyfriend. She went to have it sized and was told it could not be done. Spent a good deal of time telling me about how she kept trying to get the staff to help her with other options but she kept getting rude, unhelpful responses that not only failed to solve the problem but also completely ruined the excitement that otherwise accompanies getting sparkly gifts from a man. She told him NEVER to buy from FMJewelers ever again. I totally agree, based on this story. I wonder how many others she has told. Word-​of-​mouth publicity can make or break a venture, whether a retail store, a movie or a travel destination. My advice to the staff here is what my grandmother would say, «You were born with two ears, one mouth; use them accordingly.»

I don’t know much about jewelry as I don’t wear any, but I recently got engaged and have a ring from Fred Meyer Jewelers. I initially thought it was kinda cheesy to get a ring from a store, but in the end love this place. My fiancé got me a solitaire Sitara ring and it was gorgeous. Simple and beautiful. He said they were really helpful in picking out the right ring when he described what he wanted. The lady we worked with was friendly and honest about their jewelry. I ended up chosing a different ring from the one my fiancé originally got me (at his urging, some people thought this was bad! Haha). It ended up being cheaper and they didn’t try to talk us into getting something of the same or higher price. Prices seem reasonable as far as I know.
They were also so quick in resizing my ring. Earlier than the amount of time to resize than they initially told me. They also guarantee their jewelry, promising to replace the diamond if it falls out (which I doubt will happen???) and for other reasons I can’t think of off the top of my head. They just ask that you come in every 6 months to check on the ring and make sure it is in good shape and for cleaning.
I suggest coming here if you are interested in buying a ring (or other jewelry) and you also know they’ll be around for the long haul since they are linked to Fred Meyer. My fiancé’s sister got a ring from a shop that is now closed and therefore doesn’t have any replacement insurance should something happen to her ring. Anyway, yeah, check it out.

Soooooooooooo, where do i began. i have been a returning customer to fred meyer jewelers fof a few years now and me and the sales associates have become close, almost a year ago sept 14 2010 my fiancé purchased my engagement ring. all was well until i started to notice i was getting it cleaned quite often more than i felt needed but being in my profession i kind of shrugged it off (im a hair stylist). so this past august 2011 i went into the store and i asked was there anything that could be done to clean my ring a bit better becaue of the piece it was not being cleaned properly the sales lady jeana looked at my ring and she said i agree it could be a bit better (shes fabulous btw) so she got her manager Kerri butt, (or however you spell it) to come and take a look she pulled out her little scope and said its not dirty its just from getting it cleaned and rodeumed that it gets darker each time. i looked at her and said no its clearly tarnished anyone can see it you may need to take a closer look. she then told me that when you purchase something and pull it from underneath the glass and walk out of the store with it, it will not look the same, i told her as a manager that was something that should have not been said and thats not my problem it should have been disclosed, so then i asked her if i could bring back my enhancement (the other part of my ring) thats not being cleaned properly, and she said sure no problem you just have to double up and you will have to purchase a whole new ring. i was furious at this point, she offered to steam my ring to see if that would help, so i did and it looked the same. i was highly upset. i went home and discussedthe option with my fiancé and he said hell no your keeping your ring. so my next i dea was to get it taken apart so that it couldbe properly cleaned and i was jsut gonna leave it apart that eay i could wear just my band by itself. she has been extremely rude through this process she proceeded to tell me my ring will pretty much wear out and i told her this is my wedding ring its supposed to last forever, i do not believe that there jewelry is quality and that they will say anything to make a sale, i asked for her boss and she told me i dont give that information out i will have him call you then i asked what his/​her name was and she proceeded to tell me no. i called the 1800 number the next day and got his name its Bruce Reschske and theysaid that he will call me back withing 2 business days, now its just a waiting game i would love to see what he has to say. sucks for the sales associatess becuse they just lost out on 2 more sales and will never get me or my friends business again. buyers beware shop around dont make fred meyers jewlers in kirkland your choice. another thing i have lifetime warranty on both my engagement pieces she proceeded to tell me that i lost the warranties because i didnt bring my booklet in when i came to get them cleaned at 6 months of me having them, then she said your not gonna lose it today but next time you will if you dont breing in those booklets. she needs to get her facts straight and properly trained because shes costing the company money.
