Coffee is a science here.
It’s the BEST coffee I’ve ever had, consistently. The milk is steamed perfectly. So perfectly, that every time I drink one, I squeal, «it’s like drinking a dessert!» The soy milk is so thick and wonderful I forget it’s soy.
I love to come here on breaks to study, as they have plenty of space and a good atmosphere. Best? White chocolate raspberry soy mocha and a PB&J panini made with DKB. (I know, right??)
The only reason that it’s not 5 solid stars is that I couldn’t come here if I was short on time. The food takes a long time to come out. But then again… it’s nice to know that it’s not premade.

Yes, yes, YES. Totem Lake needs more of these independent coffee places — similar to what you’d find on Capitol Hill, but much more convenient for us Eastsiders.

–The sandwiches are just as delicious as everyone says they are. My Italian Chicken panini was STUFFED with roasted chicken breast. Very generous — definitely worth the price!

It’s true — you’ll wait 5 – 10 minutes for your food. If you want faster food, then go to Burger King or Starbucks down the street. It’s all freshly prepared with love and worth the wait.
I wish I saw more patrons walk through the door over the 4 hours I was working from here. Java Zombie deserves more business.
Java Zombie is the cure for my work-​from-​home blues. (They even have a window-​facing counter that I can stand comfortably as I work.) I think I’ll be frequenting this place as one of my favorite work spots.

If you like an amalgamation of coffee, food, and zombies, welcome to the joint of your life! The sandwiches are amazing. They are made from scratch and can be made with Dave’s Killer Bread if you specifically ask – which, believe me, is great bread – and the coffee is tasty. Admittedly, not the best coffee I’ve ever had, but it’s better than what you can get at a Starbucks around the corner.
It’s a chill spot, free WiFi (if you ask for it), the interior décor matches well, and the music is nice. Not the generic pop music bullshit you normally hear elsewhere. The only reason why I didn’t add an additional star is due to the waiting. There’s generally one dude working there, and while he’s great at what he does, sometimes you don’t always feel like waiting for coffee or food for more than five minutes.
Expect to either browse on your phone or read the provided newspaper they offer while waiting for your order.

The food was decent – tasty but not the best I’ve had. They serve Vivace coffee, but it seems about on par w/​what you’d get from a Starbucks.
The main reason for the 2 stars is the service, which wasn’t great both times I went. They forgot the salad that comes w/​my panini both times. The prices online are different from what’s in the store. They forgot to bring out the water we asked for (even though we were 2 of the 3 ppl in the place).
They’re new so probably working out the kinks. Hopefully they get better.

Good food and big portions, bad service. Prices in-​store are more expensive than on the website. Cashier was a defensive guy that didn’t care about us, made us pay in-​store prices even after we mentioned the website pricing. He forgot to mention that we get chips AND a side salad with sandwich purchase — we just happened to see it on the menu so we brought it up.

I still love this place, and the food and coffee is still the best I’ve had on this side of the highway. I had to knock a star off though, thanks to how long it takes to get a drink or a sandwich. While the wait is worth it, there is usually only one staff member in the store at a time. That means if you’re not the only customer in there, you will be placing an order then taking a seat for 5+ minutes to get a coffee and if you order a sandwich, you might as well pick up a newspaper.

Amazing coffee (they carry Vivace!), friendly service, and they can make hemp milk lattes! This is my new favorite café right now. So so good! I normally go in really early in the morning, so I haven’t tried their food yet, but I will be making a special trip with the family this weekend just to try it out!

Went here to watch my cousin play music for them and was pleasantly surprised. The coffee is really good. I love my coffee and I like to explore and try different cafes and while the coffee is really good, what really gives them all 5 stars is the food. It’s not too badly priced considering the area and it’s just down right delicious. I had the Cilantro Chicken Panini. It had some sort of pesto spread, tomatoes, pepperjack cheese and bacon to top it off. It was very flavorful but not overpowering and the ingredients are what you’d expect from a pricey shop in downtown Bellevue. Each of the sandwiches are all very varied in their offers and flavors as you look at the menu.
To top it off, the staff is genuinely friendly and the place is has a nice atmosphere with the artwork on the walls and very well maintained. If you work in the area, please do yourself a big favor and grab some lunch or dinner after work. I’ve been to a lot of delies and shops all over the Eastside growing up around here and this is one of the best shops in the area for really good coffee and excellent food. This is the kind of business you want to have in your neighborhood, so please support them. I’m honestly surprised this place wasn’t packed.

I work at the Hyundai dealership across the street so it’s really convenient to go there, which I do about 2 – 3 times per week.
It’s a 3 person operation and they’re all really friendly. If you don’t like the coffee or sandwich you get, which is unlikely, then they’ll make you another one.
The paninis are incredible. If you want something not on the menu, just ask and they’ll create it for you. They use premium, non-​processed meats and cheeses. Then you get chips also. All for the same price as just a sandwich at Subway.
The coffees are a-​mazing! Get a cappuccino and take the lid off… It’s so smooth.
Some people complain that it takes a while for them to make it. No, it’s not the place to go if you only have 5 minutes for lunch. For those people, call in the order. For everyone else who has at least 20 minutes to order and savor it, it’s totally worth it. They make it all on demand and it does take several minutes for the coffee and several more for the sandwiches.

I work across the street at Infiniti and Since my owner had me go there to «try «them I litterally eat there 4 times a week. I cant get enough of their paninis. I have yet to try their breakfast but sure I will soon. The staff is awsome and its good to see the owners there everytime I go in.

3 stars because the Coffee and food is very good. I recommend the Asian Chicken Wrap
A 4^th star because the couple that owns this place goes far out of their way to be personable and attentive. They like to get to know their patrons.
–1 star because they could work on speediness of their service. It took about 10 mins to make three coffee drinks on one order. That couldn’t fly with a line of 10 – 15 people in the AM.

Stopped in the other night and loved my drink! Both Shanelle and David, the owners, were working when I was in. They suggested their iced caramel macchiato and it was pretty much pure awesomeness in a cup! I really like the taste of their espresso (no burnt bean taste here) and whatever type of caramel they are using. The drink was flavorful and balanced, and somehow avoided being too sickeningly sweet (I should note however I did not get whipped cream). I also really enjoyed the fact that the people serving me were the actual store owners. They were so friendly and made great conversation (I suppose I find this a rare treat, as I frequent many of the coffee shops in Cap Hill where at most of them you are lucky to even get eye contact and a smile from a barista).

BEST Pulled Pork Sandwich!
First time to this joint today after reading about it in the local paper. The pictures of the Panini’s alone were appetizing. I had my heart set on a chicken sanga but went with the PP to share (next time I get my own!) good choice. Really good coffee. Great service and integrity of the owner. He made my latte full fat but remade it with nonfat before bringing it to the table. Frankly I’d not have known the difference, but it was a very honest gesture. I’m all for supporting local indie joints and intend to come back. I really hope they are successful!

Great coffee. Very flavorful. And the paninis yum yum. Best place in the area! Free wifi of course. This place needs a zombastic review! Don’t go to Starbucks and pay premium. Support local businesses and save yourself some money too!
