Hunters Creek Centra Care

If i could leave zeroes reviews i would. This place is a JOKE. I walked in and was told it was a 30−40min wait. TWO HOURS later i went up to the desk to ask how much longer it would be. Girl at the desk asked my name, went into back to «check» came back out 5 min later, asked my name again and said «ill check for you» and proceeded to sit down and start helping someone who JUST walked in. I asked guy who does paperwork for my paperwork back thatd id be leaving & that they shouldnt misconstrue wait times to people & he told me appointments had come in. Understandable. I told him they should keep patients updated especially when i had come to the front asking for help and the other person sat back down. She interrupted & said «i didnt forget to check i forgot your name when i got back there»… As she proceeded to help the guy that had just walked in. So i asked her «so, why couldnt you continue to help me?» And she gave me a blank stare. Dylan was nice, the woman at the front needs an attitude adjustment. She did NOTHING with a sense of urgency & clearly doesnt know how to prioritize. I left there, drove 3 miles down the road to Carespot, and have already been seen, helped, and am sitting in my car about to leave (40min total from the time I left UrgentCare to the time i got back in my car from CareSpot) Save your time & go to CareSpot on Osceola Pkwy!!!

If your looking to get seen quickly and get out, this is not your place. I’ve come here with an appointment and wait over an hour (1hr30min) to be seen. No appointment and it’s at least 3 hours. I gave two stars because once you get seen the doctor does take her time and do a good job. Front staff needs to have more duties to help with the waiting.

I woke up this morning for work and was in no condition to go. My eye was red and swollen up. I used the Centra Care app to try to schedule an appointment at the Sandlake in the next few hours to be seen. Unfortunately Sandlake was full until 3pm today.
The Hunters Creek location was the next closest to me that had an Am opening. So I scheduled for 9:10. I got there 15 minutes early like they suggest so you can fill out any necessary paperwork ect. Registration was quick, about 5 minutes. I waited in the waiting room for about 10 minutes.
Dr. Sosa came in to see me. He quickly diagnosed my ailment and ordered an antibiotic cream for my infected eye. They called my prescription in to my preferred Cvs in Conway. I filled out a brief survey and was on my way. By 9:35 I was out the door. I would not hesitate to visit this location if there is nothing available at Sandlake.

Terrible service. Starting with the No wait reservation is a complete lie you will still wait several hours. I went there today and even double checked with the front desk and they assured me i would get right in with my appt so i left and came back and waited almost 2 hours. Secondly when I checked in the staff member told me that my payment would be between 75 and 200 depending on getting and xray or not. The doctor spent MAYBE 2 minutes with me and never did the xray they still billed me 209.00 the staff is all over the place. You do not get consistent information. I will never go here again.

Centra Care has a monopoly in the Central Florida region for urgent care. Patients have to make an appointment (defeats the whole purpose of urgent care) to make sure they’re seen. Additionally, even if a patient makes an appointment, the wait time there is terrible (45 minutes after the appointment time).
The services are pretty good otherwise, but there is no other large health provider supplying competition to this monopoly — long wait times and high prices.
This is the worst centra care I have been to in the central Florida area. Stay away at all costs.

Bright spot in the whole experience was Dr. Nkemdilim Uzo. She was engaging, interested, caring, interesting and funny. If she were in private practice I would readily consider her as my primary physician. The treatment by the doctor and the nurse is the only reason I gave two stars. Everything else was horrible. The reception personnel was very curt and simply did not even make me feel welcome. They immediately and coldly informed me of a two hour wait. I was sitting in the waiting area with another English-​speaking couple. We asked to have the television station changed to an English-​speaking station as we were the only people in the waiting area. The reception personnel clicked sighed and switched the station. The programming on the other station was of no interest to us but we didn’t ask for another channel. It seemed pretty clear that they were ‘bothered’ by the first request. The wait extended to around 3 hours during which time I counted 3 patients leaving and another 3 arrivals. By the time I finished it had been four hours. I have a simple ear infection that required antibiotic ear drops. Four hours for a diagnosis leading to prescription ear drops? Seriously?

I went to this facility to get my PPD test done for work purposes and I had to wait for an hour. .. An hour wasted of my time. I don’t even need to see a doctor for this, a nurse can do it. When I finally asked the lady in the front how much longer I have to wait, she responded that the nurse had to be part of an emergency procedure. How long were they expecting me to wait until somebody informed me of this? I could have walked out 30 mins earlier and did something valuable with my time. Never again am I going to this clinic.

Do you want to spend your whole entire day here even though you made an appointment well then come here and watch your whole entire life pass you by. You could literally sit here watch every season of the walking dead before you yourself die of your illness waiting to be helped.

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. The facility is nice and clean, but the attitude of the staff leave much to be desired. They are like breathing robots, lacking the personality of a flea. From the front desk with their lack of understanding about the insurance policy to the amoeba like bedside manner of the doctor. There was no one that was friendly at all. One of the females at the front had a little personality.
I feel sorry for people that make it evident they hate their job.
The practice needs a revival and some workshops on customer service. If I need after care services, I will go elsewhere. I hope not to need it any time soon.

I have had the unfortunate opportunity to visit a few of these locations throughout Central Florida. For this visit, I used their online booking and registration system. A very important tip — be sure you do this before visitng their site. Anyone trying a walk up appointment will have to wait a few hours. If you go online, you can probably schedule an appointment within an hour. I waited less than 15 minutes for my appointment. Saw the doc, got my meds and was out within 30 – 35 minutes. Everyone was friendly and efficient.

They advertise «Why wait,» but that is EXACTLY what you will do. I made an appointment, did my paperwork online and then proceeded to watch channel 13 while they took lots of other patients, even ones who arrived after me. When I did see the doctor she had the demeanor of an ER physician, condescending care. Skip this location because this was not the first time I received indifferent attention.

Clean, friendly, and you can book appointments online prior to your arrival. Got stitched up there when I cut my hand on some broken glass and it was a pleasant experience.

I hate not having a regular doctor in the area, and the last time I got really sick, this was my only option. It took more than two hours to get seen, and then it was a fairly efficient «in and out in 15 minutes» exam coupled with printouts based on my diagnosis and also my vitals. While some may view a heavily computerized system to be top-​of-​the-​line, I find that it promotes laziness in actual care given and less thought applied to diagnosis and treatment. This definitely felt like the case in my visit to get treated for bronchitis.

Clinically Cool!
When the new Centra Care opened near my neighborhood, they ran a promotion for a free visit. Since my daughter needed a physical for school anyway, I decided to try it out.
The Good:
Really Kid Friendly Waiting Room: Generally the conventional wisdom is that if you take a waiting room, and add a fun light, a loopy toy, and a few kiddie books, all of a sudden it is kid-​friendly. Luckily, CentraCare understands that this is not the case. The kids have thier own room with complementary crayons and crayon books, a VSmile play console, and the you can even play with magnets on the magnetic wall. This was the first waiting room I think my daughter has actually wanted to go back to AFTER seeing the doctor.
Fun Doctors: The doctors here really know how to handle kids, especially ones who have too much energy like mine. They made the physical fun for my daughter, and they even did cute little excercises after it was done.
Easy to Find: CentraCare of Hunter’s Creek is right next to The Loop shopping center, and is very easy to get to (and is very visible from the road.)
The Bad:
No complaints here. which is totally rare for this reviewer
Honestly I loved my experience at CentraCare of Hunter’s Creek, and would take my daughter back for her walk-​in clinic needs anytime!
