Mystic Forest RV Park

Stayed here for 4 days over the July holiday. A really great experience. Privately owned and it shows. The owners are just fantastic people. They live here and are always avail for help or questions. Salt of the earth great people. We have 4 kids, 8 total in our group and everyone had a fantastic time. We ventured out during the day to the beach and woods and have a wonderful time. There is a playground and mini golf on site here for kids, plus a game room.
It is quiet here and everyone is very respectful. On the 4^th the owners put on a free BBQ for everyone! Just bring a drink. Pretty awesome.
I saw someone pull in at 11pm last night and the owner came out to help him park and setup. Another example of how great these folks are. We will be back.

This is near the Redwoods, just a half mile south of the Trees of Mystery. It is a very nice park, in the forest. We stayed one day in August, en route.. . and would stay again. Carolyn, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. There are some old trails/​dirt roads that wander around the edge of the property and are fun to explore. The area is full of old abandoned RVs of all sorts, which the forest has overtaken. But the park itself is open and clean, as are the showers and restrooms.

The couple who run the park are really nice and treated us really well. They were helpful with suggesting local attractions in the area. While I didn’t get the chance to use it, their mini golf course looked like a lot of fun.

Nice tent sites in buried in the woods which is nice. Very friendly couple owns the property and runs the campground. Bathrooms were clean, free showers and as many blackberries as you could ever want, all way cheaper than the public campgrounds around this area. Highly recommended.

Great place. Really friendly people. Activities for the kids. Even though it is close to the HWY it is really quiet. Close to the trees, river and ocean. Really clean especially the bathrooms/​showers. Good for RV’s and Tents

This place is nice. The owners were super nice too. They don’t have a river on the the site but the owner gave us a map and highlighted the way. it wasn’t even 10 min away. We were really surprised how clean the bathrooms were and they were definitely the cheapest in the area. Extra 10% off if u have aaa. I will def go again.

Our 5 star rating is based on having spots 1 — 5 on this property. The rest is open field RV park. The first spots are in Redwood shade and offer a bit of privacy. The showers are very, very clean the owners could not be nicer.
The location is central to everything you’d want to see in the area. We skipped the touristy Trees of Mystery and headed north past Crescent City to Jedediah Smith SP. We also headed south to a (foggy) overlook where the river meets the ocean and spent the afternoon quite busy with activities recommended by the camps owners.
There was power outage while we were there, but there was no helping that.

I went to see the Redwoods this past weekend and choose this place because a friend of mine told me about it. Well My group and I were very happy with this park. The campsite is very clean, the bathrooms and showers are super clean, and the spaces are not to close together. The management is very friendly and helpfull. The campsite is located about 3 minutes south of Trees of Mystery park, 5 miles north of Klamath and 15 minutes south of Crescent City and only minutes from lots of recreational and exploration activities. When ever I go camping anywhere in this area, I will stay at this campsite again.
