I agree completely with the first reviewer– well said, Jason. I have been lucky to count on them for the past 12 years here in Knoxville. When I relocated for a year, I remembered what it was like to wonder if you were getting ripped off. I was thankful to return to Knoxville and M & M House of Brakes.

Brought my 2000 Saturn in to check the brakes (since other shops had commented that they needed replacing) and investigate a rhythmic sound. They said the brakes were fine, just needed adjusting. Sound was from the hub, which they replaced. Nice, honest folks, explained what was right and was wrong. Bonus that it’s on the bus line, so I can drop the car off and get to work on the bus.

Stopped by for an oil change and asked for a brake job and was told I didn’t need my brakes done yet… honesty, what a concept. Firestone would have gladly changed my brakes. I’ll definitely be back.

This place is the best.
It may not look like much, but if you’ve ever had car problems and been serviced here, you know that Chip and his team are the best. When I lived in Knoxville, no matter what kind of car I had, these guys could fix it. One thing I loved was that if there were multiple issues and I couldn’t afford to fix everything, Chip was really honest and would tell you what needed to be done first and what could wait a while. And their prices for service were always very reasonable. It was like a retail location for ‘Car Talk’. They would also always ask about how things were going for me, school, etc and the memory of these people was amazing! I’ve lost count of how many people I referred to them over the years.
I miss them. I’ve found solid repair places in Nashville now, but wish this place was still around the corner.
