Specialties
Dumplin Valley Farm RV Park is a campground near I-40 exit #407 located 22 miles east of Knoxville, TN, 8 miles north of Sevierville and about 11 miles from Pigeon Forge. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a short 30 minute drive from our location. An annual bluegrass festival is held here in September. The facilities are also used for weddings, receptions, picnics, reunions, etc. Our sites are grassy. We are pet friendly and have showers/restrooms. Our picnic pavilion provides a nice place to sit.
History
Established in 2006.
This business was begun as demand grew from our bluegrass festival which we started in 2000. The campground is a part of our farm which used to be a dairy. The facilities feature a large barn and silos which are no longer used for the dairy and have been converted into a venue suitable for a number of activities.

Business Owner
Joe and Mitzi Soward are the owners of this campground and event venue. The Sowards opened the campground to the public in 2006 when they decided to share it with overnight campers instead of only using the sites during their annual September bluegrass festival which started in 2000. Still living on the farm, the Sowards have been hosting campers from all over the US & Canada. Dumplin Valley Farm RV Park is somewhat of a secret as very little advertising is done outside of having a website, festival attendees knowing about it and a sign on the Interstate exit ramp. Many nights you can camp here with only a couple of neighbors which gives you the chance to get to know your fellow campers or just relax in a peaceful country setting. Life here is pretty laid back. Facilities are clean, the grass is lush (with gravel underneath), lots of entertainment is nearby and the price is right. Most sites are 30 amp. Some 50’s are available. Bath house is closed during winter. Pet friendly.
