Just saw that Juan replied to my review about my Expedition having «22 inch rims.» Actually, they have the standard O.E.M. rims, and are not «22 inch rims.» Funny that you would say that to discredit my review. To go that far as to lie to the public to try to make one of your reviews invalid, as well as lie to me about prices seems a little dishonest and sneaky. Not implying that the quality of work here is dishonest or sneaky, but who can know for sure? Morality of Juan seems questionable, and assuming that he is the boss, who knows what he tells his employees to do or not do? You all know about the scandal at that major lube company many years back when they charged you for services that they didn’t do… Thank you Juan for your «feedback.»

Alright! I am very grateful for these guys here at the Allstate, foothill location. I came to this shop a few days ago with my jeep’s transmission blown and clutch destroyed, and Mr. Juan worked his magic on finding me the exact parts I needed within 1 day for a price I couldn’t have asked for a more fair, respectable deal. On top of the hospitality and professionalism, I experienced here at Allstate on 3424 Foothill Blvd. They pulled aside my old transmission parts and showed me exactly what I should do to keep my new transmission at 100%. I would tell anyone to come here and talk to these guys if they are looking for a straight answer on getting their automobile work done. Thanks guys!

Good and honest merchant — rare in the area after living in La Crescenta for more than 15 years.

Just moved to the neighborhood a few months and found this place. I took both cars in to get checked up and was very pleased. Andrew was very honest with what my cars needed and didn’t gouge me. I’ve been going back for oil changes and the small repairs he suggested. Very satisfied!!!

These guys are the worst crooks you could ever come into contact with. I purchased a new car and wanted them to check it out to see if it needed any work. It’s a 2010 Prius. Usually low maintenance cars. So I was surprised to hear Andrew tell me my shocks and struts were bad and needed replacing. And that this included a «free alignment». Yeah because an alignment is all the car needed in the first place. After taking it somewhere else because I was cautious to spend $ 1200 if I didn’t need too, an honest mechanic informed me that the the «oil» Andrew saw on the shocks was armorall that they use on tires and any experienced mechanic would know it was not oil. Andrew told me oil was actually leaking out. I took my car to Alex Performance Auto Shop on Foothill Blvd in Tujunga. They told me I didn’t even need an alignment. Also didn’t even charge me to look at my car unlike this crap hole that charged me $ 60 bucks to lie and try and take more money from me.
He saw I had two small children. How can a person lie about work on such an expensive job and be able to sleep at night?
What makes me so mad is that I previously took my old car in and paid close to $ 3000.00 when it most likely didn’t need as much work done as they stated.
Andrew stated the car wasn’t safe to drive. Also when I told him I would have to wait to sell my old car to get the work done he asked how much I was selling the car for, then upped the price on the original quote by $ 200 when I called to confirm.
Andrew you are a joke and live up to the persona of a lying, money hungry, shady mechanic.

Andrew and his staff are great! I’ve taken both my cars there and although surprise car repairs are never pleasant, they made it as painless as possible. Care credit is available. They have after hours drop off — even on Sundays. Allstate is an Auto Club recommended facility. If you live or work in the area– this is where you should consider taking your car!

The customer service here is the best in town but the mechanics, especially the alignment guy needs to practice professional Care with customer cars. My truck was on and off the rack 4 times each time in second gear (killing the clutch) roosting it so bad I had to plug my ears. When the vehicle was returned to me it was worse and of course its the old trucks fault. But I’m pretty sure the grease stains on my seat where theirs. I won’t be going back but I recommend you go as they are really really nice and not rood.

These guys are great. They explained what was wrong with my car in detail and took good care of me.

I went Allstate Auto repair completely by chance when I had a sudden, absolutely unusual emergency that needed immediate attention. One of my dental crowns broke clear off and fell into my car console’s parking brake area, and I became utterly distraught when I couldn’t reach it. I quickly pulled into Allstate and immediately Andrew (service manager) went right into aiding me, no questions asked and was nothing but comforting in such a sensitive situation for me. He quickly went about removing my car seat and trying multiple approaches to locating my lost crown. Thankfully it was recovered and everything was skillfully and swiftly returned to how it originally was in my car (the seat, console etc).
While I know this is not a traditional automotive issue, the customer service, urgency and kindness I received has absolutely earned them a new loyal customer who will not consider going anywhere else. My most heartfelt thanks to Allstate auto repair

I have been going to them for years and I feel they do an awesome job. My family and friends go there as well. They inspect your car and tell you what needs to be done hit they don’t pressure you into doing the job. They told me what I needed to do immediately and what could wait. I like having those options. Plus. I like how they explain what’s been done and show me the old parts that are being replace ensuring me that they are being replaced. I trust them to do a good job and they have always delivered. They are professional and offer great customer service.

Been coming here for years. Never disappointed. Honest, reliable and excellent work. Shows old parts when replacements needed. Andrew is a gem. Guarantees their work and always provides warranties. They also wash your car for free after servicing!

There is something to be said for great service. Sure, I just spent over 600 dollars getting my car fixed, but when you stuck on the side of the road with a dead car on a friday night… you’ll be happy that you can come here, drop off your key at any time of night, and they’ll get your done the next day on a bloody SATURDAY! They even washed my car for free. love the service I got.

I’ve been coming here for years now, and these guys have always done a great job. I had an older car that had too many problems to count, and they were always fair and honest with me. Now I have a new Subaru that runs great, but when a problem did arise they fixed it and had it back on the road the same day. My boyfriend who used to work at a mechanic shop thought it would be around $ 300 for half the work, and in the end it was around $ 430 for everything. They even call before doing any work to make sure I okay with what they were doing and the price for everything. There were no surprise fees or extra work done when I picked up my car.
I recommend everyone to come here. As a girl who knows nothing about cars I can feel assured that I can come here for a fair, honest, good quality job.

Went to Allstate to get a set of tires and got a fair price. There was trouble in paradise once I started experiencing random leaks on the front driver’s side where my tire pressure would drop from 32psi down to about 10psi in a day or two. Unnerving, to say the least. Went back to Allstate, explained the issue, and to their credit they removed the tire to check for leaks (and didn’t find any).
Well, flash forward a few months. Issue still persists and I take it to somewhere else (Tire 4 Less, just up the street). Within 20 minutes, the guy up there had the wheel off and told me the chrome on my wheels was flaking heavily, which would cause the exact same random leakage issues I experienced. This was also corroborated by the guys down at Western Tire in Burbank once I sought a second opinion.
You’d think that somewhere between taking the old tires off and having to look at the tires again, someone at Allstate would have caught what seems to be an extremely common issue. But they didn’t, and that could have saved me a few months of uncertainty and fear that I might have a blow-​out on the freeway.

I went in for an easy fix and was talked into having more work done. This I have no problem with. They were very polite, pretty fast and did a good job. But then they tell me my lug nut bolt broke when my tire was removed and I need to bring it back to have it fixed, they quoted me $ 200 for one lug nut and bolt to be replaced. I called the dealership they quoted me $ 100. And then 3 other local mechanics quoted me $ 65. I can’t help but feel I was bring totally ripped off. I will not be retuning, neither will any of my family or friends.
Look out ladies, always get a second quote.

I came to Allstate sheerly out of necessity when my car needed to be towed in on a Saturday afternoon. Juan was both friendly and helpful through the duration of my experience. It’s a small operation, so they weren’t able to supply the parts I needed and were going to have to machine them out, which is the cost (in multiple senses) of a small shop like this. After I decided against his advise and against the repairs, he was supportive of my decision – not at all pushy – and they were very patient when I took a few days to get them the title.
*User note: Please do not take 3 stars to be bad necessarily; I simply don’t know have enough data to give them 4 or more, and there are some 1-​star reviews that need to be counteracted by my generally positive experience.

Called for a tire rotation price quote. Guy says 15. Come in and the another guy says 25. They end up charging me 15. Cool. Asked if they could put the spare back in the trunk underneath the car and they tried to charge me another 5. Not cool.

I use Allstate for all maintenance and repair. I have had three cars there:
1)2001 F150 (sold it recently)
2) 2004 Toyota Sienna
3) 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid
Besides oil changes and tire rotations, I have brakes, shocks, struts, and belts done there. They are much less expensive that the dealer, and I trust them.
I never get the «your air cleaner needs changing, we should flush the xxxx, etc). They look out for your car and your pocketbook.
Juan and Manuel are good guys — honest and hardworking. The lobby is comfortable, and I can use wifi while waiting.
Oil changes/​rotations cost about 50 bucks, as I recall — but the ease is worth it.
They can get a bit busy, but I tend to call ahead and ask, and things work out fine.
Don’t bother with a dealer or quick lube place — take your car here.

only good for oil changes and simple maintenance. great waiting room with comfy couch and tv. But for serious repairs go elsewhere.
